The new routine has be going on for two days.
Hank collects newspapers and delivers them to Simon. Simon reads the papers and looks for 'weird stuff' as he puts it.
His parents know nothing about the adventure their son and dog are planning. They just think they like reading the paper.
Then one fateful day, Simon says this: "Hey Hank!"
Hank walks into the bedroom and sits beside the desk chair, "You rang?"
"Yeah, I did. Did you know there was a beheading in Thornson?"
"Ooo, haven't had one a those in a long time."
Simon makes a face as he read the article further, "Says here it was done with a chainsaw."
"Huh. Lumberjack gone mad?"
"Stop," Simon says firmly, "Please, this is so gross." He gags as he sees a picture of the crime scene and the infamous chainsaw.
There's silence.
"Well," Hank says after a while, "Thornson's what? Like a town away? We could take a bus down there and check it out."
Simon laughs, "So this is our adventure? A guy and his unattached skull? This isn't exactly what I had in mide."
"Well, sometimes ya gotta take what ya get. Know what I mean?"
And so, the two planned to get some money for the bus. They will leave tomorrow.
