If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea

It was a very calm day for the light element who was reading a book peacefully while seated under a huge tree located near the park. The tranquil atmosphere relaxed him, making him comfortable and at peace. But, the feeling of loneliness only made his day gloomy one.

I'll sail the world to find you

He then looked up from the book he was reading for a moment, and watched the little children who were playing joyously in the playground, making him jealous on the inside as he thought, he doesn't have anyone to talk to nor play with, nor even become friends with. Indeed, he envied the innocent, little kids who were hanging out and having fun at the park with each other.

If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see

'If only... I have someone to be friends with...' Solar thought as he pursed his lips.

I'll be the light to guide you...

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

"Pfft! Why are you collecting flowers, greeny boy?~ Are you even a girl?! HAHAHAHAHA!"

All of the sudden, the lone little boy heard an insane laughter followed by someone who's softly crying located just near him. Curiously, he closed his book, got up from his spot and went to check what was the commotion all about. Then, he saw something. Something that dreaded him and at the same time, angered him.

Find out what we're made of

From a few distance, he saw a little innocent kid, crying uncontrollably while getting bullied by two big boys. As he noticed this, his hand clenched tightly into fist as his teeth gritted angrily.

When we are called to help our friends in need.

He then dropped the book he was holding to the ground, shadows covered his eyes as he leaped infront of the poor, little kid who was holding a bunch of different kinds of flowers while sobbing quietly, defending him from the two, big boys who were trying to bully the little one.

"Leave him alone." Solar said, with a threatening tone in his voice. He looked up from the two boys, his golden eyes glowing brightly like the sun as he menacingly glared at them.

You can count on me

The two bullies' eyes widened in shock and trembled in fear, startled to see the light elemental's ominous, radiant eyes staring at them fiercely. Without hesitation, they instantly ran away, leaving the light element and the terrified little boy alone. As the two boys were out of sight, Solar's eyes then went back to normal, golden ones and turned around to look at the little boy he'd protected from the two bullies.

Like 1, 2, 3

As Solar noticed how frightened the innocent, little boy was, his gaze soften, and felt like his heart just dropped from the inside. He felt bad for the little boy as he saw his current state right now. Alone, lonely and silent, just like him.

I'll be there

Out of nowhere, he gently gave out his hand to the little boy who was crying, making the depressed boy looked up at him. The little boy's puffy eyes widened and sparkled a bit, its pupils shook from his eyes. He then wiped his tears away using his backhand and curved a small smile, accepting the light elemental's hand and slowly lifted him up from the ground.

And I know when I need it

"T-Thank you for helping me, kind person." The little boy said, bowing respectfully at Solar. The latter sweatdropped a bit as he chuckled nervously, raising both of his hands up.

"There's no need to be too formal, you know?" The light elemental stated, curving a gentle smile on his lips.

I can count on you

"My name is Duri!" The little boy named Duri cheerfully said, smiling brightly afterwards. "What's yours?"

"I'm Solar. Pleasure to meet you." Solar introduced, nodding his head slightly while smiling a bit.

Like 4, 3, 2

"Can I be your friend, Solar?" Duri asked, tilting his head slightly at the side. "Because, nobody wants to be friends with Duri..." He said, lowering his head down with a gloomy face. "Duri is all alone, and lonely..." He added.

You'll be there

For the first time in the light elemental's life, someone wants to be friends him. His once miserable life became a bright one, all because of Duri being part of Solar's life right now. 'Is this what I get for doing a good deed...?' He thought, as he smiled happily.

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do

"I'm more than happy to be your friend, Duri." Solar said, smiling warmly at him. Duri's smile widened at his response.

The little boy then turned around, making something productive and is a secret for Solar, making the latter tilted his head in confusion. After a few seconds, Duri then turned back at him, now holding a hand-made flower crown and placed it on top of the light element's head. "Here's for saving me from the two bullies!" He exclaimed, smiling cheekily while looking at his friend who was wearing the flower crown he'd made. The light element blushed slightly and looked away, laughing nervously.

"Thank you, Duri."

If you're tossin' and you're turnin' and you just can't fall asleep

Sighing lightly, the light element was seated on a swing, holding on to the chains at the side while swinging lightly. He was silently crying while looking at his peaceful surroundings. His mind was full of negative thoughts, about his parents saying harsh things about him, abusing him when he made a single mistake, and hurting him physically and mentally.

I'll sing a song beside you

The thoughts on his head lead him into deep depression, where he'd only see the world black and gray, a dark and moody one. He questioned to himself about why he was living in this world and born only to get beaten up by his parents. He questioned about why would he have to live with such a complicated life. He questioned why would he deserve a family who only wants the definition of being so 'perfect' and being so pushy around things. 

And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me

As he continued thinking negatively, he was then on the verge of just, ending his life already just to make it all easier for him. He didn't care anymore since, nobody even cares, not even his parents once love nor care about him. He just wanted to be free from the life he was facing right now.

Every day I will remind you

Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around him, giving him a warm, comforting hug, making him snapped out from his thoughts and looked to see the person who'd hugged him. His heart sunk as he realized, there was someone who really cares about him. There was someone who appreciates and loves him for who he is. There was someone who deeply trusts and truly believes in him. It was Duri, his only close friend who really accepts him for who he is.

We find out what we're made of

"Don't cry now, Solar. Duri is here. Everything is going to be okay." The leaf elemental softly said, smiling genuinely as he calmly soothed his friend.

A suppress of hiccups was heard coming from the light element as he softly sobbed, gently holding onto his friend's arms as he released all the pain by crying.

When we are called to help our friends in need

"Let it out, Solar. Don't worry, I'm just here, standing by your side."

You can count on me

"Duri, please answer me honestly... What did you see in me?"

Like 1, 2, 3

"Hmm, to be honest, not only I see you as an intelligent person but also, friendly. You're kind, you're genuine, you're unique but, you're just, not open up too much to other people. But, knowing you, you're a good person because I know deep inside, you are one."

I'll be there

The light element sniffled, returning the hug gently and whispered softly. "Thank you for being there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on..."

And I know when I need it

"It's what friends for, right?" The nature element said, pulling away from the hug a bit and faced his friend with a sad but genuine smile.

I can count on you

For Solar, he's really thankful, so thankful to be given a friend who's very caring and supportive. He was glad that he saved him before and no doubt, it was his first time to bravely stand up for someone like that. He was happy that he became friends with Duri after he'd helped him.

Indeed, Solar was really lucky. He may be suffering from his parents' hands but, Duri's always there to at least cheer him up and believes in him as he worked hard for his life. Duri is his light, from the darkness, which is his struggles from his parents.

You'll be there

Everyday, Solar's afraid of going back home, as he thought about what his parents might do to him sooner or later. He always hesitates to go back home whenever he would go outside. But, he managed to stay strong, to stay positive, to stay brave, for Duri.

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do

Currently, the nature element's staying in the school's stunning garden where everything around him is surrounded with different kinds of beautiful plants and flowers, making the whole place amazing for everyone's sight. Duri was seated on a bench while glancing at his surroundings from afar in peace. He was actually tearing up, wet tears were continously shedding from his gloomy, emerald eyes.

You'll always have my shoulder when you cry

He wished for their friendship to be mended agaian. He wished that he could reunite with his friend again. His one and only best friend, Solar, that he once claimed that he's like a brother to him.

I'll never let go, never say goodbye

"I miss you, Solar..." He whispered softly, sniffling afterwards.

You know

Out of nowhere, a hand appeared from his sight, turning to the person to see who it came from.

"Solar..." He breathed, as another round of tears welled up from his eyes, making his vision a bit blurry. The said person only glanced at him sadly  as if he was hoping for Duri to take and accept his hand.

For the nature element, it felt nostalgic as he remembered that time when Solar helped him and protected him from the bullies when they were little.

You can count on me

And here he was, being there for him when he needed him the most.

Like 1, 2, 3

The light element remembered that day when he felt so broken, so lost he couldn't keep up with his life anymore as he thought of just to disappear from this world. But then, his friend Duri, was there all along, reminding him how much he means to him and how much he loves him as a friend, as a brother. And now, he's going to do the same thing to Duri like what he did to him in the past.

I'll be there

The leaf element paused as he stared at the light elemental's hand for a moment and soon, smiled weakly. He gladly clasped his hand to his, accepting his hand and slowly, Solar got him up from the bench Duri was sitting on.

And I know when I need it

In a second, the leaf element crashed his friend into a warm, bear hug and no doubt, he totally missed hugging his best friend. Solar then was a bit surprised at first but, then curved a sad but warm smile and gently returned the hug.

I can count on you

The light element chuckled softly, as he remembered all the memories he had with Duri, from the past, until now.

Like 4, 3, 2

All of it, was indeed, were so precious. So precious, he couldn't even forget about it. And it will never be forgotten...

And you'll be there

...as he planted it on his heart wholeheartedly.

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do

And finally, the two friends reunited once again.
