Daydreamer
They say that dreams are only meant for sleeping
when the stars dance across the night sky
but my dreams get daylong
of diamond dragons in the darkest desert
so like a shadow I creep
the soft creak of the floor is comforting
the moon is a spoon that scoops up the moor
I drift & dream once more
dazzling dolphins
dashing Dalmatians
little did I know
my dreams were a blessing in disguise
my eyes were diamonds
hoping to shine as bright as the stars
so I'll continue to dream
until pigs fly
I'll write a Hancock on my heart
and be a professional daydreamer
