Sixty years have passed since the Battle of the Five Armies; since the death of Thorin Oakenshield and his nephews, Fíli and Kíli Durin.

Something in the shadow grows and a young Hobbit, Frodo Baggins, is left with the burden of destroying the One Ring to stop Sauron. A unlikely Fellowship is formed within the grounds of Rivendell but not everything is as simple as they believe.
