epilogue.

Amelia rushes through the suite with a bottle of champagne and two flute glasses in hand, "Okay, I've got the bottle, now I can get started before the others interrupt."

A light laugh splutters out of me as I take one of the glasses, trying not to move while my hair is getting done.

She pours the alcohol into our glasses and then raises hers, "So, this is a toast to my beautiful sister on her wedding day. I can't quite believe today is here after so much planning over the years, but it is and you're finally getting married to Nathan. There's no one else in this world who deserves this more than you do; you are going to make a wonderful wife."

"Jellytot," I whisper, bringing my hand to my heart.

"Iris," she deadpans, "I'm twenty-two, when will you drop the nickname?"

"Never," I say before taking a gulp of my champagne, enjoying the bubbles on my tongue, "But thank you for that, it was really lovely of you to say."

"It's all true," she smiles, grabbing the bottle to fill our glasses for the second time.

"I still need to walk down the aisle, remember," I laugh, yet I still allow her to do so, keeping my glass level.

"One more won't harm," she assures me before adding, "And I'm sure the kids will sober us up anyway."

At the reminder, my eyes glance at the door of the room where they're all getting ready in, "Do you think they're behaving for Olivia?"

"Would you like me to lie?" she laughs, "Elise has been a massive help, though, she's on top of it."

"Of course she is," I chuckle, picturing it in my mind.

Elise is now eleven years old, and she's truly, without a doubt, my best friend. Her young age doesn't reflect on how mature she is, I find myself having better conversations with her than I do with most adults, so I'm not surprised she's holding down the fort while I can't.

Addison and Nova will be great, but I know they'll have their hands full with Avelie, Sutton and Harper.

Only seven months after giving birth to the twins, I fell pregnant with Harper, on Nathan and I's engagement night, no less. I was on birth control at the time, but because our family had a sickness bug the week before, my pill didn't work. She was definitely a shock, we were only just getting the hang of taking care of the twins, so adding another baby to the mix was completely unexpected.

The twins turned three in March and Harper will be turning two next week, so you can use your imagination as to what chaos will be unveiling behind that door.

Amelia finally puts the bottle down on the table, and turns to me, "Out of sight out of mind, Iris, they're happy with Olivia; don't even think about what they're getting up to."

"I feel bad leaving her with them all," I admit.

My sister slaps me on the hand, scolding me, "Stop feeling guilty, it's your wedding day, Iris, Olivia was the one who offered. Also, Charlotte will be taking over shortly because she and the rest of your bridesmaids need to join us."

"That's true," I take a deep breath, "You're the best maid of honour, thank you."

"I know," she confidently grins in response.

Emily, our hairstylist for the day, rounds my seat and after applying a few rollers to my hair, she smiles, "Once I've done the others' hair, I'll get you back in the chair to take the rollers out and for finishing touches, but it looks gorgeous."

"Perfect, thank you, is Amelia next?" I ask.

"Yeah, if you'd be willing to swap seats with each other, that would be perfect."

Soon after Emily starts on Amelia's hair, the rest of my bridal party joins us, Laura being the one to walk in last holding her bridesmaid dress in a protective bag.

"Good morning, you beautiful bride," Laura pulls me in for a hug, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm really good," I squeeze her tight before I pull away, "Have you seen Nathan yet today?"

"I have actually," she says, pulling an envelope from her purse, "He wanted me to give you this."

"As long as it's not a letter telling me he's leaving."

"He'd never," she assures me.

After catching up with Renee, Olivia and Laura, I take a seat on the sofa, tucking my leg up to my chest, and I prepare myself to read the letter Nathan has written me.

'Good morning, my beautiful bride,

I may not be allowed to speak to you or see you until you walk down the aisle, but no one told me that writing to you is against the rules.

We agreed we wouldn't write our own vows for the wedding, that it would be cheesy to do in front of our friends and family, and although I still agree, you deserve to hear something personal regardless, so here goes...

Iris, I vow to spend the rest of my life loving, taking care and treasuring every moment with you, through the hard times and the good because you and I are infinite. Every morning, I wake up wondering how I got so lucky with you and our beautiful children, who all love you so much, sweetheart.

There is so much I could vow to you; that I'll be with you through sickness and health, 'til death does us part, but we know that, don't we? You are my person and always will be.

You've had me under your spell from the moment I met you four years ago at the bar you worked at, and I can't say I'm complaining; it's been heaven on earth ever since. Not only that, but you changed my life, baby, in so many incredible ways, and I could not be more in love with you if I tried.

I'll see you in a little while, my darling wife, I'll love you forever and always.

Love, your husband-to-be.'

My cheeks swim with tears from his beautiful words and I tug the piece of paper to my chest, exhaling a heavy breath, "Oh, I hate how much I love him, I'm a mess."

"I knew he'd somehow make you cry," Laura grabs the box of tissues with a shake of her head, "At least you've yet to have your makeup done."

"That's true," I wipe my tears, "What he's written is nothing short of perfect."

"It's what you deserve," she rests her hand on mine.

In just a few hours from now, I will be Nathan's wife and officially Mrs Fields, and I simply can't wait to be so.

✯✯✯

Those hours flick by like seconds, and after a tearful ceremony, wedding photos and dinner, Nathan and I retreat to our hotel suite for a moment alone before the celebrations of tonight commence.

"Mrs Iris Fields," Nathan murmurs, tucking my hair behind my ear, "How did I ever get so lucky?"

"I'm currently asking myself the same question," I muse, glancing at the ring on his left ring finger, "You're my husband, Nath, I can't believe it."

He smiles, "We are finally and officially married."

"I couldn't be happier," I tell him, resting my head on his shoulder, "Today has truly been amazing."

"We've still got the rest to go," he reminds me.

"As much as I can't wait to have a drink and party soon, I'd love nothing more to just stay in here with you," I glance around the room where we will be spending tonight.

Choosing a hotel as our wedding venue was the best decision we have ever made. Not only is it easy because it's all under one roof, but it has the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen and we had our wedding pictures taken in them.

"Don't tempt me, sweetheart," he pulls me closer for a cuddle on the sofa, "We will have all the alone time in the world when we're on our honeymoon."

"And we'll be able to have a full night's sleep," I have my priorities in check.

"Sounds like heaven."

"Speaking of, the kids have been well-behaved today, Harper even smiled for the photographs," I point out. I had my doubts when it came to Harper because she's almost two, and truth be told, a nightmare to handle sometimes.

"She's a firecracker, that's for sure," he shakes his head with a laugh, "I was surprised she didn't run out in the middle of the ceremony, in all honesty."

"Do you think we screwed her up somehow?" I joke, knowing it is just her way of expressing emotions.

"I mean, it was bound to happen at one point, we couldn't have six perfectly behaved children."

"Unless we have more," I then laugh at my words, "I don't know why I even said that; I think I'm tipsy from all the alcohol I drank this morning, so don't get any ideas, Fields."

"One more wouldn't hurt though, right?" he teases.

"Yes, it would," I mean that so seriously, "We could possibly later down the line, but I'm happy with our six, Nath. Also, if we did decide to, we'd need to not only get a new car, but a house too."

"Yeah, that's a lot of money for someone who's now a retired hockey player," he winces over at me.

"Okay, Mr Hockey Coach who still earns over four million dollars a year," I scoff, rolling my eyes, "I could even afford a house for us."

He laughs, "Yeah, who am I kidding?"

"Yourself it seems," I stand from the sofa, holding out my hands for him to take, "Shall we go join the others?"

"Can I not admire my beautiful bride for a moment?"

My cheeks flame with a blush and I splay my dress, smiling at how perfect it truly is. After months of searching, I found this in a quaint wedding boutique and fell instantly in love with it. It's a gorgeous off-the-shoulder, A-line dress with a slit down my left leg, and it was the first dress, after trying on hundreds, that made me feel like a bride.

"You're ethereal," he takes my hand, standing up.

"I feel like a princess a bit," I admit shyly. He lifts our clasped hands, urging me to spin around and with a giggle, I oblige, "I definitely feel like one now."

"What I'd give to just lift this up to your waist and have my head trapped between your thighs," he grips my waist, holding me ever so close.

"Nathan," I warn, shaking my head, "We have guests waiting on us, and I fear if we don't leave here soon, this dress will end up on the floor,"

He chuckles, "That doesn't sound like a bad idea."

I roll my eyes, "C'mon, let's go. We have all tonight for us to be alone together, you can be between my thighs for however long you please then."

"You've sold me a great deal there, baby," he opens our door for us to leave.

Hand in hand, we walk down the hallways until we reach the foyer, and I frown in confusion when he leads us outside and towards the gardens. Because our wedding had taken place later in the day, instead of around noon, the sun had set an hour ago and it's dark out now.

"Where are we going?" I ask with a frown, trying not to shiver from the chilly summer night, "Nath-"

My next words are quickly caught in my throat when we turn the corner to see everyone waiting on the lawn, each of them holding unlit lanterns.

"You didn't," I gasp, looking over at Nathan.

"I did," he says with a large grin, pulling me over to where our children are waiting.

Before my mind can catch up with me, Charlotte hands me a lantern and a pen, telling me to write a message on it before we let them all go.

"This," I shake my head in shock, "How did you even think of this?"

"You love Tangled even more than us," Addie smiles, lifting her lantern, "I helped him come up with the idea."

"We all did," Nova tells me with a smile.

"Even me," Avelie says.

"He was a bit useless, mom," Elise whispers, which makes me laugh.

Nathan whines at all of their insults, "Girls, you're supposed to be on my side."

"Daddy, it's all okay," Sutton taps him on the leg, which only makes me laugh harder.

"Mommy," Harper rubs at her eyes and then lifts her arms, wanting me to pick her up.

"Could you write all of our babies' names and ours on the lantern for me please?" I ask Nathan, and he happily takes it so I can pick our youngest up, "Are you tired, little one?"

She rubs her eyes again before silently putting her head on my shoulder, giving me her answer, loud and clear.

"Anything else you'd like me to add?" Nathan asks, scribbling down all of our names.

"That's perfect," I rock back and forth with Harper.

One by one, the lanterns are lighted, but it's not until ours are lit that everyone lets them go. They illuminate the night sky just like in the fairy tale I have adored watching since I was Elise's age, and my heart swells at the beauty of it.

Nathan puts his arm around me and with tearful eyes, I look over at him, "I love you so much, Mr Fields."

"I love you most, Mrs Fields," he whispers before sealing his lips against mine.
