Chapter 7

Our eyes locked for a second, but she immediately it and almost run back inside her house. But good thing, napigilan ko siyang gawin 'yon. Hinawakan ko ang braso niya bago pa siya makawala sa akin. Even if she tried to pull her out my grip, hindi niya nagawa iyon.

"Get you hand off of me," she demanded, gritting her teeth to showcase her anger towards me.

Pero hindi naman effective sa akin 'yon. I've seen worse girls and worst situations, so whatever she's trying to do, wala na siyang takas sa akin.

"You're not going anywhere now, Moira. You'll be heading back to your home. What you're doing right now isn't helping the society. Your family will rule this out as a national emergency. They even ask some help to the king. Ano sa tingin mo ang mangyayari kapag pinapatuloy mo 'to? Your silly little game." Ngisi ko pa.

"This isn't some kind of silly little game you bastard," pagpiglas niya pa sa akin pero hindi rin nagawang alisin ang kamay ko sa pagkakapit doon. "This sin't what you think. I'm not playing around."

"So, you're seeking for attention? Oh, let me rephrase that. You wanted from attention. Not just to your family, but to every people in the country. Do you like that, huh? Kaya ka ba nagtatago ngayon dito so people wouldn't find you easily? And changing your looks doesn't really help you."

"Who told you that I'm changing it for everybody? Who told you that I'm seeking for attention? Bakit ang bilis bilis niyong mag conclude tapos ija-judge niyo na lang ako bigla? How could you do your job in respect for your honor and duty while making someone, like me, be the subject of your judgments."

"What are you doing here if it's not all those what I said you are? Anong ginagawa mo rito ngayon? Why are you really hiding, Moira?" I asked, seriously.

"Could we..." she paused, "Could we just talk it on inside?"

I nodded, "Sure, if you must."

I didn't let her go as we walk inside her home. Nang masarado niya ang pinto saka niya ako tiningnan muli sa mata.

"Could you just let go of me already? Masyado nang mahigpit 'yang pagkakahawak mo sa akin." She asked.

"Just promise not to do such thing when I did, okay?" I demanded and she complied.

Binitawan ko siya at pinaupo niya ako sa sofa.

"Would you offer me a drink?" I asked.

Umiling siya agad-agad. Humalukipkip pa ito. "No, I wouldn't."

Tumango ako. "Fine, and I'll just get straight to the point why I'm here."

"I know, I already have an idea about it." Sagot nito. "I know why you're here. And all of you were looking for me. Hindi naman ako tanga para hindi isipin 'yon. Pero hindi ako babalik. I have my life here now. I'm going to take my lunch now pero bigla kabg dumating. You're trying to ruin my peaceful life, alam mo 'yon? Can't you just go and leave me alone?"

Natawa ako sa sinabi niya at umiling-iling. She thinks she's smart enough but no, she missed out a lot of things.

"No, Moira. Now that I found you, hindi na kita papakawalan. And what you did carried us out from our duty. All the Silver Knights has been located to every parts of the country just to find you and luckily you're here on our location. Isn't that something great? Tayong dalawa talaga ang pinagtatagpo ng tadhana kahit ayaw natin sa isa't isa?"

"I agree with that, at least on that one." She smirked. "And please, 'wag mong isisi sa akin ang lahat. My parents are overreacting dahil gusto lang nilang ipatong sa akin ang responsibilidad ng business namin."

"Oh, so you flee just because you're afraid with the responsibility?" 

She rolled her eyes, "I don't want it in the first place. I never liked my life as a first class citizen. Kahit na nabibili ko ang lahat ng gusto ko. Kahit anong gawin ko, nakukuha ko. But all those materials things weren't enough to fulfill what I really want. And why am I telling this to you? You're just a Silver Knight. Hindi ka naman importante sa buhay ko so you might just have to leave at bumalik ka na sa mga kasama mo at sabihin mong hindi mo ako nakita. Let it stay that way, hindi kita papakialam basta 'wag mo lang pakialamanan ang buhay ko."

"I would but I wouldn't do what you asked." Sagot ko sa kanya and she grunted because she tried so hard to explain it to me. "Aalis tayo sa bahay na 'to na kasama kita. You're coming with me and I'm going to tell everyone that we found you."

"Tell me something about it, Nathan. May reward ba ang paghahanap sa akin kaya ganyan ka kapursigido? But obviously meron 'yan. Ang parents ko pa ba? Just like what you said, lumapit na sila sa hari so I think they already planned it all out. Hindi pa rin ako sasama sa 'yo dahil at the end of the day, hindi mo hawak ang desisyon ko sa buhay and you have no right to take me out of my house."

"This isn't your house, Moira." Sagot ko sa kanya. "You need to go. You have your parents waiting for you."

"No. You have to leave now, Silver Knight."

"I might just be a Silver Knight but I won't stop, Moira." Tumayo ako sa kinauupuan ko. Lalapit na sana ako sa kanya para higitin siya palabas ng bahay ng may hinablot siyang bagay sa gilid niya. She took a steel baseball bat. 

Napangisi na lang ako sa kanya.

"So, you're going to hit me with that, huh? Gano'n ka na katapang para saktan ang isang Silver Knight? Remember we served and protect you tapos sasaktan mo lang kami? How dare you, Moira?"

"Don't put the blame on me, Nathan."

"Okay, cool." At saka ako bumalik sa pagkakaupo. "I won't leave then."

She groaned, "Nakakainis ka alam mo 'yon?"

Umiling ako, "I don't know... ba't mo alam 'yon?"

Napahilamos ang kanyang palad sa mukha niya. "You're just annoying me para sumama ako sa 'yo. It is very effective pero hinding hindi pa rin ako sasama sa 'yo. You're such a clown, Nathan. Masyado mong siniseryoso ang trabaho mo. You can't be like that and be selfish for other people's situation. Yes, you're just doing your job but you also have to know that sometime we don't need protecting. Kung ang ginagawa mo ngayon ay sa tingin mong makakabuti. Sa tingin mo ba para sa akin makakabuti 'yon? Or you're just leaning into one side? Ganyan naman kayo, you always listen to superiority kahit nakakatapak na kayo ng pagkatao ng ibang tao. If you think you're doing good at your job, tingnan mo muna ang sarili mo baka dahil hindi mo nagagawa 'yon."

"Okay," tugon ko at humiga sa sofa niya. "Thanks for explaining but I won't leave this place until you'll leave with me."

"Nope, that's not gonna happen. Manigas ka, Nathan!" She exclaimed.

I nodded, "Sure... I will." I smirked.

And she stormed out heading inside the room and locked herself. I know I'm not going too far, I'm just making sense out of her. Kung sa tingin niya mali itong ginagawa namin, she should think of her actions first. Tama ba ang ginagawa niya or she just really want attention after all?

Moira is stupid, she needs to learn something and she'll learn it from me.

Three hours later, hindi pa rin lumalabas si Moira ng kanyang kwarto kaya nagsimula na akong magtaka. Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakahiga ko at tumungo ako sa pintuan ng kwarto niya. I knocked on the door and called her name. A few times. Walang sumasagot sa akin. Inikot ko ang doorknob at sarado ito. Naghanap naman ako ng bagay na pwedeng magbukas sa pinto. Nakakita ako ng pin kaya iyon ang ginamit kong pangtusok sa doorknob hangga't sa sapilitan ko nang tinulak ito para mabuksan.

Doon lang tumambad sa akin na wala na si Moira sa kwarto niya. She left the window open and she just run out of nowhere. Napailing na lang din ako dahil hawak ko na siya at ipapaalam ko na lamang sa lahat na nakita ko na siya pero nawala pa. But I know she won't be going too far. Mahahanap ko ulit siya.

But for now, I need to do some explanations for Cameron and I hope he won't think of anything out of my disappearance. Blessed my soul for lying.
