Demi already accepted that it was the end for her when the first man took her virginity by force. She already agreed it was a prize she had to pay for poisoning her stepmother and stepsister.

"Get off her!" Royce was out of the toilet, he got close and punched the third man off her. "Demi." He held her and tried to carry her out of the place. He obviously didn't know it wasn't one person, that they were five and the plan was to gang rape Demi.

"Baby boy, She's ours." One of the men pointed a gun at Royce and shot at him.

Demi was in shock, as if it wasn't okay realizing that she couldn't give her innocence to Royce, as if it wasn't okay that she was going to be raped by five men, now they had killed her only strength to live, her world, her Royce.

She faintly heard a 'No', then looked at Royce, who lay on her chest, she couldn't say a word, couldn't yell, couldn't cry, she stared at him, then at the five men who took him away from her, studying their faces, making a vivid picture of them for herself, for her future. Their chest was open and she could see they all had a big lion tattoo in the middle of their chests.

Then she was lighter, her eyes closing slowly. Demi didn't know if she had been killed also or maybe she just fainted. In her shocked state, she really wished it was the latter.

Royce. Was. Dead.

Days passed, Demi was finally getting her way and Samuel Perry was going to be arrested for stealing a Silver Construction's property.

Randy and Grace were already at her house very early that morning.
"Good Morning Boss."
"Demi." They both greeted her and Grace gave her a kiss on her cheek.

Demi had been awake since past five due to her non stoping dream, but hadn't dressed up in preparation for work.
"Good morning." She smiled at the couple, sipping her morning tea. "So, we're set?"

"Yes boss, the police should be on their way to arrest him right now or lately this evening." Randy answered.

"Okay," Then she remembered their son. "How is your son? Is he better?"

Grace smiled warmly and was glad Demi at least still had some warmth in her heart. "He's better now, he's now at home, resuming school next week."

"Good. We should celebrate, it's been a while since I had a good celebration." Demi paused. She remembered Royce who always loved celebrating every little success. How much she had missed him. She opened her phone and looked at the date. 14/03. March 14th, a day to Royce birthday.
She always celebrated it, with or without him. "Tomorrow, a party here in the estate."

"Okay Demi. We have to go to the office now." Randy stated.

"Alright. See you two at the party."

"Sure." Grace answered and Randy nodded. Then left.

After they left, Demi called Davidson to call their party planner for the party. Then she left for her bathroom to prepare for work.

Annabelle had finally decided to go for her interview, even if she knew it had been days gone. Hopefully, they wouldn't have gotten anyone yet.
She smiled to herself, she didn't even believe it, it was Silver Constructions, for her to have gotten invited to an interview was a big miracle. But as she walked out of her apartment in an office wear which she borrowed from her friend, she hoped the same miracle would happen again. She'd work part-time to get new office wears, that's if she get the job.

"Belle." A very familiar voice which always made her fluster called and she turned to see Sebastian's handsome face.

"Hi." She waved at him.

"Where are you going?" Seb asked, coming closer to her. It seemed like he was on his way to work. He looked very handsome just like everytime, like everything was made for his manly body.
Annabelle didn't want to look like a fool so she took her sight and thought away from his body.

"I'm on my way to look for jobs, checking out the business world again." She smiled, her cheeks painted slight pink.

Sebastian nodded. "Alright, wish you luck." He looked at his wrist watch. "I'm almost late for a case this morning, I'll see you when I'm back." He rubbed her back and turned the other way, partially running on his way.

Annabelle smiled and shook her head. "He wished me luck, I know I'm going to have a lot of it today." She muttered and stopped the next tricycle going to Silver Constructions.

She got to the front of the big company at exactly 9am. She went to the walk-in gate and knock. A man showed up in front of her, eyed her from her hair to her toe, then frowned at her.
"What do you want? We don't do charities here."

Annabelle's anger rose but she had to calm down. She needed the job not him, he already had one. "I'm sorry, I'm not here for that. Actually, I was invited to an interview here."

"Why would they invite you?" The man said in a displeased tone.

"I-"

"Leave." He pointed to the road. "You are not invited here."

"But-"

"Leave." The man cut her off, then grabbed her arm and pushed her further from the door.

"Oh my-" She wanted to curse at him but heard another voice behind her.

"Leave it. No need to say anything to him."

Annabelle looked at the man in suit beside her and tried to remember where she had seen him before. She couldn't still remember when a big car stopped in front of them. The window open to the owner of the company.

Demi Silver.

"You." Demi pointed at the man who pushed her away. "How dare you treat a woman like that? You're fired." She spoke with so much authority that even scared Annabelle.

"Oh my God." She whispered. She didn't even know what to do, she wanted to apologize for the man. It was really hard to find jobs nowadays but she couldn't speak.

"And you," Demi nudged at her. "Meet me inside."

"O-Okay ma'am." She stuttered.

"Good for you, you might get that job." The man in suit said to her. "Boss is in a good mood, why didn't you come on the said date?" The man said and walked through the gate that had been replaced by another man.

She didn't even see the other man as she walked in.
