Nineteen years later,

"Good Morning ma'am."

"Good Morning Miss."

"A pleasant morning to you boss."

Giving each and everyone of her staff a curt nod, Demi Silver walked into the board room where she had a meeting with two of her company's branch managers and the vice president.
Everyone in the room got up from their chairs in respect for her and didn't sit until she did.

Removing her dark fancy glasses, she took the files in front of her and went through it. She frowned and looked up at the men sitting a little far from her, no man dared to sit close to her.
As she didn't say a word and glared at them, the three men got up and bowed their heads.

"We're sorry ma'am." They apologized without even knowing whatever happened.

"I think you three have gotten jobs elsewhere? What is the meaning of these? Why aren't these joint projects completed yet? Why is the fucking houses still standing?!" She growled.

"We're really sorry ma'am." The vice president bent his head again. "The owner of those houses have been giving us issues, he said he doesn't want to sell his house, especially not because of our projects."

The response he gave enraged Demi and she hit the table loudly. "And you're just telling me now?! How many times did I tell you if there was any issue I should be the first to know about it?"

They didn't give any response. The men knew better than to answer Demi at this point. An answer meant losing their jobs.

"You all should get out, wait for me at the site."

The men hurried out without waiting for another word from Demi.

She pressed a button on the wall behind her. Immediately, her two trusted bodyguards came in. "To Greek Street."
She said and got out of the room while the men followed her, one of them carrying her bag.

She was going to meet the damn owner of the house who doesn't want to let her project to be successful. She was the owner of Silver construction company and she could make the impossible possible even if it means getting dirty.

After a few minutes ride, she got to the construction site and shook her head. The project was even less impressive simply because of the houses at the side.

"Hey what's up?!" She frowned at the loud voice of a young lady who was greeting one of the men working. Demi studied the girl for a while and was reminded of when she finally left the house, she looked exactly like the young lady who had just left.

A sharp pain hit her chest when she remembered Royce. Shaking her head and blanking her expression, she motioned for the vice president to take her to the owner's home.

"Demi, are you sure you want to see this man?" Davison, one of her bodyguards, the most trusted one asked her. He was the only male who could call her by name.

"Why not? Are you supposed to underestimate me?" Demi gave him an intimidating look.

Davison shifted and looked down at the ground. "Uh... I'm sorry. You know I don't underestimate you, I know what you can do and what you can't."

Demi glared at him. "Leave!"

Davison stared at her, hoping she didn't mean it. When she didn't say anything, he turned to go. At that point, he knew he had fucked up.

"Imbécile." She insulted him in French and went towards the house.

"It's Miss Silver!"
Someone announced before they entered the big house.

Demi waited while her vice president went to call the owner. While waiting, she studied the entire house. The houses were all joined together leaving a very wide space in the middle. It wasn't a fancy one but it has many tenants.

Surprised by the boldness and beauty of the famous Demi Silver. Samuel Perry, the owner of the house smiled at Demi.
"You must be the Miss Silver, I'm Samuel Perry." The man held out his hand, waiting for a handshake.

Demi frowned at his outstretched hands. "I'm not here for introductions, I'm just going to ask you one thing." Demi started, ignoring the hands.

Samuel took back his hands slowly, already a bit pissed that she ignored it, even in the presence of his tenants.
"What do you want to ask?"

"One question. Are you selling the house or not?"
Her question held authority and it shook everyone watching, including Samuel Perry himself.

"I..." The man started, then he looked at his tenants. "I'm not selling, you don't expect me to let all these people stay on the street because of a stupid complex you want to build."

Demi smiled. "No. I'm going to compensate you all fine, none of you will stay on the street." Her face went back to the blank one
"Are you taking it?"

"No, pretty lady." The man hissed and turned to leave.

Demi laughed. "You're going to regret this Samuel."

The man didn't answer and this made Demi more angry.

"Tell Randy and Grace to meet me at home." She told her second bodyguard, Jason and they walked to the car.

As she walked, she noticed the lady she saw earlier, hitting a man who tried to harass her. She motioned for her bodyguard to help the lady but before he could get to her, the man was already on the run.

"Leave me!" The lady frowned when Jason tried to touch her. "Don't you dare place your hands on me!"

"I'm sorry, was just trying to help." Jason walked beside her.

"As you can see, I don't need your help." The lady hissed and went into the house they just came out from.

"She's wild." Jason commented when he got back to where Demi and the vice president stood.

"Only God knows what she had been through to have so much rage in her." Demi added and they walked to the car.

"Demi, I'm sorry." Davison knelt down in front of her. "Please, forgive me."

"It's okay. I was going to call you back anyways, if I was going to get rid of you, it's to kill you." Demi gave a firm smile. "Where are Randy and Grace?"

"Thanks a lot. They are both in the smaller living room."

"Alright."
Demi walked upstairs to the small living room in her house, which was even bigger than her old house when she was a teenager.

She walked in on the couples making out. "Seems the room is really hot tonight." She commented and sat on her chair.

The couples blushed as Demi caught them again. "We apologise."

"It's okay." Demi waved her hands happily.
The couples were her favorite lawyers and best friends. The only people she could also trust after Davison.

"What's the issue, Jason sounded like it was an emergency." Randy started.

"I have a problem, the houses in Greek Street beside the new complex, I want it to be demolished but the owner have refused to sell it."

"What do you want to do now?" Randy asked.

"I think I called you two here to provide a solution for me."

"Uh..." Grace started. "Maybe we could create a document showing you're the owner and the man wouldn't have any say in it."

"You're right." Randy added. "Except if he contests it in court with the best lawyers and proofs."

"That would make sense." Demi smiled. "Do what you can, I want those houses to be down by next week."
