"Hello."

"Um...who is this?"

"Come on pepper, let's be honest. Does anybody besides me ever call you?"

"Okay, point taken. Why are you calling me so early?"

"Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to India for a few days."

"What the heck? It's the middle of the semester. You're going to miss so many classes and tests."

"I think we both know that I don't care about that. Anyway, it's my older sister's wedding and she's having it in some fancy resort in India. Trust me, I'm as shocked as you are - she literally called me at 2:00 this morning and told me to leave at 10:00."

"Why so sudden? That's kind of strange."

"Yeah, I know, but I didn't really ask. Anything to avoid school, right?"

"Anyway, I didn't know you had an older sister! That's so cool. Tell me about her."

"Her name's Brittany and she's 23 years old, I think."

"You think?"

"Hey, don't blame me. I haven't seen her in forever. She's a licensed nurse, and she works in Africa for Nurses Without Borders or something like that."

"Wow, she seems really great. Guess you got the worse half of the family gene pool."

"I would argue with that, but I'm not even going to bother because that's probably true."

"Umm...ok? I was just kidding."

"No, for real. She was super smart in high school, and then attended Brown University. She kind of reminds me of you, actually."

"Thanks, I think."

"Which is why I think it's so strange that she's rushing the wedding. She's normally the type of person who plans everything out meticulously and hates to rush into things. It's not like her at all."

"I'm sure everything's fine. She's probably just really in love with her boyfriend, and we all know that love makes you do crazy things."

"Yeah, you're probably right. Anyway, tell me about your family! Do you have any siblings?"

"Umm...sorry, I have to go. I have class in twenty minutes."
