"I'm sorry I couldn't talk last night."

"It's fine."

"Are you mad at me?"

"It's fine."

"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I was a little preoccupied – I have other things to do, you know. I don't just sit in my room all day!"

"What the hell was that supposed to mean?"

"Wait...that came out wrong. Just accept my apology, please."

"Look, it's fine. I mean it. I'm not usually anybody's priority; I'm not sure why I thought you would be different."

"You are my priority. Hey, you've got to give me some credit – I've called you every day without ever forgetting. And this is coming from the guy who barely even remembers to shower."

"Oh my god! That's so gross!"

"And if it makes you feel any better, my girlfriend got pissed and left right after you called, so I was pretty much rejected by two girls in the span of five minutes."

"That's actually hilarious! I can't say you didn't deserve it though. Why was your girlfriend pissed? What did you do?"

"Hey! Why do you have to assume I did something?"

"It's true, though, isn't it?"

"Well, I mean, sort of. She heard your voice over the receiver and got mad that I was talking to another girl."

"Wait, this is my fault? Oh shit. But that's a little extreme."

"Nah, it's not your fault. She's a little bit of an airhead, and she thinks she's the center of the universe."

"Oh, well then you guys are a perfect match."

"Ha, that's so funny. Not."

"Even I know that this is not a healthy relationship, and I've never even kissed a boy. She shouldn't try to control your life. You should be allowed to have your own choice of friends."

"Wait, you haven't kissed a boy?"

"Of course that's the only part you heard."
