Vivian woke up with a small gasp on her lips. She lifted her head, having to force her eyes to open fully. Stiles was the first thing her eyes focused on. He was sitting at his desk, his elbow resting on the desk as he chewed on his thumb nail.

"Morning." Stiles said, his body attune to Vivians, knowing the minute she was awake. Vivian slowly sat up, her memory failing her as she tried to recall why she was in his room.

"Good morning?" Vivian said, a confused smile on her face. She was still in her clothes from yesterday. "Sorry, I stole your bed?"

"It's fine." Stiles said, his voice distant. "I would have stayed up the whole night anyway."

"What? Why?" Vivian asked, concern entering her voice. Stiles made eye contact with her finally.

"Thinking about you, wondering when you started hiding things." Stiles said, sitting up fully. His seriousness started to scared Vivian.

"I'm not hiding anything." Vivian said with a nervous laugh. Stiles scoffed at her, startling Vivian.

"You're not hiding anything? Then why did you show up in my room last night, after disappearing, on the verge of a panic attack?" Stiles asked, trying to keep the stern look but softening at the memory.

Then it all came flooding back to Vivian. Stiles could see it on her face, he leaned forward, grabbing Vivian's hands. Her eyes snapped down to their hands.

"It was- it was nothing." Vivian stuttered, standing up, their hands pulling apart. Stiles face went back to stern.

"Vivian.. don't do this." Stiles said, his voice was tired.

"What?" Vivian ask, her voice breathless.

"I understand keeping this from Scott, or Sydney, even Tara..." Stiles said, standing himself. "Your mom.. I was skeptical about but I understood. Not me. We don't hide things from each other."

"Stiles-" Vivian tried to say, avoiding his eyes. He forced their eyes to meet.

"Vivian." Stiles said, he had never been this serious. In all the years that Vivian had known him, Stiles loved to crack jokes. He hardly ever let things get serious. "When Sydney stopped talking to us, shit- when my mom died. I know you took on this mental maternal role. You take care of everyone. You know it."

"But I know you, Vivian. You listened to me and Sydney, let us cry on your shoulder. You took Tara in whenever she needed you, protected her. Even Scott, you didn't let him go through anything alone." Stiles ranted, a chill ran through Vivian's body. "In doing all of that, you neglected yourself. You never tell them these problems you're going through. But you tell me.. you always tell me."

It was silent for a few minutes, Stiles sighed taking Vivian's hands again. "I need you, I need to be able to talk to you about these things.."

"...I need you too." Vivian said softly, Stiles' mouth quirked up slightly before he continued.

"I'm going to let all this slide. Us kissing, whatever happened between you and Sydney that disappeared overnight, all the shit that has happened in the past year... We don't have to talk about it, now." Stiles said, his voice hard and firm. "But when all this- whatever with Derek's pack and whatever the fuck that thing from the garage is, when all that's dealt with... you and I are talking- really talking."

Vivian was silent for a few minutes, Stiles leaning forward snapped her back into her head for her to respond. "Deal."

"Good." Stiles said, taking a step back from her. His awkward self coming back as he rubbed the back of his neck. "You should have some clothes you left here a few weeks ago-"

"Wait- um.. there's something I don't think can wait." Vivian said, messing with her hands. Stiles stayed quiet, waiting for her to speak. "I keep seeing Peter, like- his hallucination.. everywhere."

"Is that what happened last night?" Stiles asked, thinking back to the unanswered question.

"It was weird, it was more realistic.. took longer." Vivian said quietly, scrunching her eyebrows as she remembered. "They are usually quick, I blink and he's gone."

It had been cold, that's one thing she remembered most of all. It told her that it was real, not some dream. Vivian had followed a shadow, which should've been her first sign something was wrong. The sun was nowhere to be seen, why was the shadow so prominent? It drew Vivian in.

Vivian followed whoever it was into the school, until she was in a random classroom, well it wasn't so random. It was Mr. Harris' room. There was a young guy, he looked familiar and he was sitting where Stiles usually did.

"Um.. hello?" Vivian had asked, looking around.

"Hey." The guy said with a smirk. Vivian rolled her eyes with a sigh.

"Do you know, Derek Hale?" Vivian asked, having to cover all the bases.

"Who?" The guy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Derek.. Hale.. big house fire.. accused of murder..?" Vivian said, leaning forward. The guy seemed normal until the fire was mentioned, something appeared in his eyes. Then Vivian recognised him.

She had seen the pictures after the fire. Ones of a happy family, a family involved in the community. A young Peter Hale was in front of her.

Vivian slowly backed away as the realization came to her. Peter sighed, the smirk appearing again. He stood up, following her as the panic built up in Vivian.

"I knew I couldn't trick you, Vivian." Peter said as he approached her. "No, no, no... You are one of the smart ones in the little pack Scott has made."

Vivian backed out of the room, before she started to sprint away. Peter yelling at her from a distance. "You can't escape me!"

She kept running until she was out of the school, across from where she last saw Stiles. Vivian sat down, leaning against the brick wall. Wishing that Stiles was with her.

"Did you just sit there for awhile?" Stiles asked after she was done. "How'd you get to my house?"

"Umm." Vivian said rubbing her lips against each other. "I just walked, needed to think everything over."

Stiles seemed to accept her answer, nodding. "Well.."

"We'll talk about this later." Vivian said with a sigh. "When Derek is dealt with."

"Yeah..." Stiles said, letting Vivian walk away.

But he didn't seem so sure of his deal anymore.

Sydney has learned control, she can keep herself from listening in. She didn't listen to a thing Vivian and Stiles said, even if she wanted to. Sydney rode in the back while Vivian learned what happened the night before. Then the day went on as usual.

Now Sydney and Stiles were speed walking into their next class. Scott was already in his seat, his eyes focused on something before the two of them sat down. Stiles directly behind Scott, Sydney next to Stiles.

"Dude, we just talked to our dad, who just talked to Jackson, and I've got really terrible, horrible, very, very bad news." Stiles said, out of breath. Scott leaned back, his eyes not moving from where they had been.

"I think I already know." Scott said in a whisper, Stiles and Sydney followed his gaze.

Vivian and Tara walked into the room as Sydney and Stiles spotted the man in front of them. They had been chatting about the night before, Vivian lying through her teeth and Tara not believing a word of it. She didn't have much time to pry the information out of her best friend.

Tara stopped in her tracks, eyes landing on Isaac. He looked up with a smirk when he noticed her. She was speechless. Vivian had a glare leveled at him, she helped Tara along, both of the sitting with the others. Tara in front of Sydney and Vivian on the other side of Stiles.

"This is not good."

⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒

"All right, I only found one thing online called the Kanima." Stiles explained as they left class. "It's a werejaguar from South America that goes after murderers."

"That thing was not a jaguar." Scott said, the others nodding.

"Jaguars are cool, that thing was creepy." Tara said with a shiver, Scott nodding.

"Yeah, and we're not exactly murderers." Stiles said motioning between Sydney, Tara, and himself.

"Yeah, but we did see it kill somebody." Vivian said with her arms crossed.

"Which is probably why it's trying to kill us." Sydney said shaking her head with a sigh. Stiles and Tara stopped walking while the others continued. Both staring at their friends, Vivian looked over her shoulder at the two of them.

"You know, sometimes I really begin to question this friendship." Stiles said as Tara and him started walking again.

"I'm your twin, you're stuck with me." Sydney said, elbowing him. Stiles glares at her with no heat. Sydney didn't focus on that as she saw Vivian break off from the group, walking over to her locker. Sydney turning to follow and almost knocking into Jackson.

They make it to Vivian's locker before Sydney makes her presence known. "Did you and Stiles talk about anything serious, last night?"

"Hmm?" Vivian hummed, Sydney could hear the spike in her heartbeat. "Um, just- you know.. me begging Stiles to forgive me for ditching you guys."

"Yeah.." Sydney said, not completely convinced. Before she could ask the question Vivian dreaded, something else caught Sydney's attention.

Sydney zoned out as she stared in a 'random' direction. Her eyes met Erica's, her breath catching.

Erica smirked slightly at her before turning to Isaac, having a hushed conversation. "So Derek wants this done during Chemistry?"

"Yeah, and if it's Lydia or Vivian, I'm gonna kill that bitch, all right?" Erica responded, her tone vicious. Her eyes found Sydney again, the older wolf taking a shaky breath.

"Are you okay?" Vivian asked, shutting her locker. Sydney nodded, still distracted.

"We have to test her first, Erica." Isaac said back, being the voice of reason. The warning bell caught Sydney off guard, her eyes darted to the loud ringing. She was brought back to reality by Jackson grabbing her arm.

He dragged her to their next class, Vivian following with a confused look. He had a serious look on his face, not letting go, even as Sydney met his pace. "When did you get such a strong grip."

"We need to talk." Jackson said with a dark look in his eyes, it then clicked in Sydney's head. He heard the same thing she did. She avoided Vivian's eyes.

They stormed into the class. Scott was sitting by the wall with Stiles next to him, Tara sat behind Stiles. All busy with their work. Jackson took the empty seat behind Scott while Sydney sat in front of Scott and Vivian in front of Stiles.

"Hey, Tara, right and left testicle." Jackson said, Stiles and Scott stopped working, an annoyed look on their faces. Vivian rolled her eyes.

"Yes, Jackson?" Tara said, barely contained annoyance in her voice.

"What the hell is a Kanima?" Jackson asked, catching the three of guard. They looked over at Sydney with an accusatory look but she put her hands up in surrender, about to explain when Coach slammed his book on the desk. Vivian kept her eyes on Sydney.

"All right, listen up!" Coach said, his voice projecting it's usual amount. "A quick warning before we begin our review. Some of you, like McCall, might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult... I'm not even sure I could pass it."

Tara let her head fall into her arms. "Okay, I need a volunteer at the board to answer the first question."

People around the room raised their hands, Lydia being one of them. Sydney had momentarily forgotten she was in the class. Coach chose a random boy in the front. "Who's got it, huh? Come on, let's go, buddy."

While Coach called people up, Jackson explained how his night went. Derek's pack grabbed him, tested him and threatened him to take back his statement to the police. Sydney also told them what she and Jackson overheard.

Vivian got quiet after that as Jackson continued to talk. "Paralyzed from the neck down, do you have any idea how that feels?"

"I'm familiar with the sensation." Stiles said with a heavy sigh, looking at Sydney and Vivian. His eyes stayed on Vivian.

"Wait, why would they test you? Why would they think it was you?" Scott asked with a confused look.

"He hasn't really kept up with Jackson like he has with me and the others.." Tara said with a shrug. "Has to eliminate the other possibilities."

"Wait, do they think it's Vivian?" Stiles asked, looking back at Jackson.

"Or Lydia." Sydney asked, lowering her voice.

"I don't know, all I heard was her name and something about chemistry." Jackson said back, getting more and more frustrated with the questions. Coach had been slowly approaching them while they spoke.

"Jackson!" Coach yelled, starting the group of teens. They all turned back to the front, keeping their heads down. "Something you'd like to share with the class?"

"Um..." Jackson said, shrugging as he looked around the room. "Just an undying admiration for my... my Coach."

"That's really kind of you." Coach said with a sarcastic smile. Jackson smiled, thinking he got away with it, when Coaches face flattened back out. "Now shut up! Shut it!"

Coach walked away, getting back to the front before Scott grabbed Stiles' arm and dragged him closer, the girls leaning closer as he spoke. "How do we know it's not, Lydia... or Vivian?"

"Because I looked into the eyes of that thing, okay." Stiles said, looking into Vivian's eyes before going back to Scott's. "And what I saw was pure evil."

"Also, I was there for one of the attacks.. oh, and I was affected by the venom." Vivian said, sarcasm oozing out of her.

"Then why is Derek still testing you?" Sydney asked with a challenging look.

"I saw how affected you were... Erica said all of that, said Lydia and I's names on purpose. To shake you up." Vivian said, leaning closer to Sydney.

"I can swear it's not Lydia, it can't be." Sydney said with a serious look in her eyes. Vivian sat straight in her seat again with a nod.

They all watched as Lydia walked up to the front of the room, writing on the board in varying sizes, some angled. They were all nonsense, she turned to them with a tear falling down her face.

"Okay, then. Anybody else wanna try answering?" Coach asked, looking back at the class. "This time in English?"

Vivian looked at the other students, her eyes catching on one. He turned to look at her, the younger Peter. He winked before he disappeared as she blinked. Vivian looked back at the others, Stiles had pulled out his phone.

"What is that, Greek?" Scott asked, Sydney too busy following Lydia with her eyes as the redhead sat back down.

"No, I actually think it's English." Stiles said, showing them his phone. He had taken a picture, reversing it to show the words said 'Someone help me.'

"She's asking for help."

⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒

"All right, so he tests her like he did with Jackson?" Stiles said as he walked with the others into their next class, chemistry. "But when and where?"

Their eyes went from Lydia at one of the front tables to the two betas walking into the class from the back door. Erica had a predatory look in her eyes, Vivian sent a glare back at her. Tara's eyes met Isaacs. He had been smirking at the pack, but softened significantly when he saw Tara.

"Did Derek give his pack a uniform or something?" Sydney asked, looking the two up and down. They both had a leather jacket, all in black. Almost identical to Derek.

Erica and Isaac both move their eyes to where Lydia was, oblivious. The others all but sprinted over to Lydia's table. Sydney slid into the seat next to her, Scott pulling up a chair to the other side of Lydia. Vivian sat behind Lydia with Stiles next to her while Tara sat on Sydney's other side, pulling up her own chair. They had managed to make a 2 person table a 4 person table.

The pack looked behind at Erica and Isaac, both didn't seem to disappointed as they sat behind Vivian and Stiles. Erica gave them all a smug smirk, Isaac attempting the same but not having the same effect.

Allison walked in late, giving Scott a confused look. She sat at the table right next to Lydia's. Scott's eyes darted back, Allison following them and being met with Erica and Isaac.

"Einstein once said; 'Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity.' and I'm not so sure about the universe, but I myself have encountered infinite stupidity." Mr Harris said, walking from the back of the class to the front, where the pack was sitting, he placed a hand on Scott's arm as he finished speaking. "So to combat the plague of ignorance in ny class, you're going to combine efforts through a round of group experiments. Lets see if two heads are indeed better than one. Or in Mr Stilinski's case, less than one."

Some of their classmates were amused by Mr Harris' dig, Vivian rubbed a hand on his arm. Stiles just sighed and took the insult.

After a minute Mr. Harris continued to speak. "Erica, you take the first station. You'll start with... "

Almost all the male students and one or two female students raised their hands. Mr Harris was silent for a moment, looking at the crowd of raised hands. The smug look on Erica's face seemed to intensify.

"I didn't ask for volunteers." Mr Harris said, looking as usual disappointed. "Start with Mr. McCall. All right next two."

Erica looked a little too happy, seeming to worry Allison.

⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒

Tara was stressed, trying to multitask doing the experiment and looking at Scott with Erica. She almost dropped the beaker in her hand because of how she kept looking back and forth. Isaac, who she had been partnered with, took it from her hands with a soft smile very different from how he had been when he first walked in the classroom.

"She doesn't bite, well, Derek made her promise not to bite." Isaac whispered into Tara's ear, she focused her full attention on him now.

"I'm sorry, but why should I believe you?" Tara asked with a frustrated sigh.

"Derek turned you too, or have you forgotten?" Isaac said, with his own underlying frustration. "Trusting him is the least you can do."

Tara went to respond before her ears focused on the conversation next to her. Scott looked desperate as he spoke to Erica. "Whatever you're thinking about doing, wait. Give me a chance to talk to Derek."

"Why don't you talk to me instead?" Erica asked, leaning closer to Scott. Old habits die hard, Tara could feel a pit forming in her stomach.

"You're right." Tara said, with a sigh. "Trusting Derek is the least I can do, and trusting you. But I don't trust Erica."

Isaac looked disappointed, he leaned back continuing the project they were supposed to be doing. The deep pit in Tara's stomach, which had been growing and growing since she was turned, since Scott was turned, was starting to become unbearable.

"Why do you want to kill Lydia?" Tara whispered, her eyes that are so often described as puppy like on full display. "What do you gain."

"Do you even know Lydia? If she's that thing, why shouldn't I?" Isaac asked, his eyes showing that he didn't even believe himself. "She could hurt more people then she already has."

Tara just stared at Isaac before being startled by the bell ringing, signaling that they had to switch stations.

Sydney was ready to switch stations, she had been sitting close enough to see Erica slide her hand up Scott's thigh. She could tell it was to get under Allison's skin, also Erica just wanted the power.

Lydia was now sitting next to Scott, so she didn't have to worry about that. Sydney was so focused on Lydia she didn't notice that she was now sitting next to Erica. Rolling her eyes, Sydney immediately started her task.

"Aww, are you jealous?" Erica said, leaning close to her.

"Do you think sliding your hand up Scott's thigh is going to get me all hot and bothered?" Sydney bites back with bored look.

"I bet you wish it was your thigh." Erica said back, looking Sydney up and down while putting her hand on said thigh. Erica had also extended her claws, starting to dig them in.

Sydney grabbed Erica's hand with a dark look in her eyes. "Touch a hair on Lydia's head, and I'll have you personally declawed. Like a little kitten."

The bell dinged again making Erica pull her hand away and move to a new desk. This one had Vivian sitting at it. Erica knew she was going to have some fun.

"Oh goody." Vivian said when she noticed who took the vacant seat next to her. She continued the work in front of her, Erica put her head on her hand with a small pout.

"It's such a shame you're not the kanima." Erica said with a sigh. Vivian rolled her eyes setting the things in her hand down before glaring over at Erica.

"Since there's nothing I can do to stop you from antagonizing me, let's just get this over with." Vivian said, leaning closer to the now smirking Erica. "You're becoming a pretty big thorn in my side."

"Then I'm doing something right." Erica said back.

"While I was knocked out, thanks to you, I had these great dreams of how to kill annoying werewolves." Vivian spit back.

"Considering how many of your companions are werewolves, I'd suggest you stop having those dreams." Erica said back with a low tone of fake pity.

"Considering how many of my problems are werewolves, I think I'm doing alright."

Erica sat back up looking over at Stiles, he was with Isaac both looking annoyed. Sydney was now with Lydia, Vivian following where Erica was looking.

"Taking out your anger on me, won't make this little love triangle with the Stilinski twins any easier." Erica said looking like she'd won.

"Flirting with everything in sight or threatening anyone thats not falling for that, won't make them like you any more." Vivian said back watching as Erica's eyes glowed yellow and her claws extended. For a second Erica had become Peter, with his hair slicked back, from that night.

The bell dinging snapped Vivian out of her trance and she got up quickly, ending up next to Stiles. Isaac finally managed to be next to Lydia right as the experiment was over.

"If you all did it right, you should be seeing a reaction of chemicals in your beakers." Mr Harris informed them. Vivian looked at the beaker in front of her, a sludge of some kind was inside it. Stiles and her inspected it, it seemed like almost everyone had the same type of reaction except Lydia.

Isaac picked up the crystal looking thing with tweezers, looking at it with Lydia as Mr Harris continued to speak. "And this part I'm sure most of you will enjoy, you are able to eat it."

Vivian wrinkled her nose at the thought of eating what was in front of her. She looked to the side and saw Sydney's eyes locked onto something, no surprise, it was Lydia. But it was also on what was in her hands, it was dripping like a sludge. One Vivian had felt in her hands.

"Lydia!" Scott said, seeming to notice that it was the Kanima venom. It was too late, she had already ingested some of it.

The whole class looked at Scott after his outburst, while the pack plus Isaac and Erica looked at Lydia. She wasn't reacting to it, it didn't affect her. Sydney's eyes traveled to the window, where she spotted Derek.

Seeing exactly what they just had.
