Five

The cold floor was against my bare skin as I lay on the tiles in my kitchen. Everywhere I look, Brendon is there.

Its driving me insane.

He loves me a little too much.

I looked up, above the counter top and I saw his face. He smiled, as he sat at the island while peeling an orange.

"Hello, darling." he smiled.

"Why are you doing this to me?" I asked. He pursed his lips and placed the orange down, intertwined his fingers and looked at me.

"You remind me of my girlfriend. She killed herself after I died. She ended up going to heaven. I was left here. Following you makes me happy."

"Oh." I said, putting my head down. But then, I whipped it right back up. "But that doesn't give you an excuse to make me go insane." I snapped. He scoffed,

"But, I'm happy. For once. For the first time in fifty years!"

"Everywhere I look, you're standing there with that fucking stupid grin, mocking me and making me seem delusional around my friends!" I stood up, looking at him at eye-to-eye level now.

"Oh. Well if that is how you feel, I'll leave. Forever. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Jess. I'm sorry you look like Georgia. Goodnight, darling."

"Brendon, no I-" I was cut off by him evaporating. Oh shit, I'm such an idiot.

What have I done?

"Brendon! Stop splashing me!" she giggled. I didn't stop. I smiled as I continued to splash her with the lake water. She stomped her foot, "Fine!" and kneeled down, scooping up a big wave and pushing it toward me.

"Ahh! Nooo, I'm melting!" I yelled jokingly as I closed my eyes and sunk under the water. I heard Georgia splash as she ran over and pulled me out. Her face was inches from mine and I could feel her breath.

"I love you." she said.

"I love you too." I replied, closing the gap and kissing her.

Hours past of playing at the beach, when sunset came. Georgia and I were in my car. Man, I loved this car. Its a real beauty.

"Brendon, I dunno what I'd do without you. You're my soulmate.." Georgia said, her gorgeous blonde hair flowing in the wind as we drove.

"I dunno what I'd do without you either. You're so beautiful, Georgy." I said, and reached over to hold her hand, one of my hands still on the wheel.

"BRENDON! WATCH OUT!" she called as I drove through a red light by accident, another car ramming into the drivers side. My side.

All I heard was ringing, my vision was blurred. I looked up slightly to see Georgia. She was okay. She was shaking me, her mouth moving but I couldn't hear any words. The ringing dulled, and I heard some of her sentence.

"Brendon.. Please. I love you. I'd die for you. Please don't die, please please please." she choked out, her voice quivering with tears in her eyes. I wish I could have said something, I wish I could have said 'I love you' one more time.

But I couldn't.

Because everything went black,

and I was dead.
