The world a thousand years from now,
Does not appear appealing somehow;
Our natural resources all depleted,
Global warming has Earth heated,
Laid to waste what nature did endow.

Written for Week 18 (May 03, 2020) where we had to write a poem about how the world would be a thousand years from now. I know my poem is pretty bleak, but then seeing the way we treat the Earth and our fellow creatures, I am not hopeful of Earth surviving till then.
