Guests these days are few and far between,
Gone those times, when being distant was mean;
Gatherings magnetic to risk, all is online and onscreen,
'Give space' is a mandate all around unfurled;
Governed by restrictions that flood the world,
Global mood is an union of hope and fear,
Great courage needed in this uncertain year.

Notes: 1. This poem is an attempt at the form ' Pleiades' (a form of seven lines, each starting with the same alphabet as the title, and having six syllables for each line. I could not adhere to the syllable requirement. 

 2. The title is a noun meaning "a confused jumble or medley of things" and is derived from the mid 16th century archaic French galimafrée 'unappetizing dish'.(I think it is quite suitable for my attempt at Pleiades poem).
