Today we're thinking school is done,
And life from now would be quite fun,
As we strive to find our place under the Sun.

Armed as we are with what you taught,
Grasping the importance of free thought,
Hopefully, our personalities are well wrought.

Over multitude of books we did pore,
The subjects many, discussions galore,
Most enjoyed, though few were a bore.

There were also days we rued school days,
Wishing for hours we could simply laze,
And now we recall those years in a haze.

There's excitement as we look ahead,
And twinges of uncertainty and  dread,
But life beckons and onward we tread. 

The world awaits and we are eager,
For success and fame we do hunger,
And to build a life; better, if bigger,

Yet, through the joy or yearning,
In spite of  our loss, wealth or earning,
Let us remember, to never stop learning.
