The three school buses were taking off to the Science Exhibit and in one of the buses were Cindy, Peter and Ned. They were sitting in the back of the bus chatting with each other. Ned says "So, we're heading to an Exhibit to learn about spiders. I don't like spiders because they freak me out." Peter says "Then why did you come?" Ned was messing with the window to pull it down. "Because I didn't want to feel lonely." Cindy chuckled and looked outside. Peter looked at Cindy and says "So, Cindy. Do you have any hobbies?" Cindy turned around to face Peter and says "Hobbies?" Peter chuckled and says "Yes. Is there anything you like to do for fun?" Cindy had think about it for a minute and says "This may be boring, but I like books and music. I also love to draw." Peter says "No way. I do that, too and games as well. Do you play any games?" Cindy shook her head and says "No. I never played any games." Ned moved in close and says "Any? Like at all? You got to at least play one game. Luckily, I brought a deck of cards. It's called I Declare War." Peter and Ned were teaching Cindy how to play the game while the bus was arriving at the Exhibit.

The bus driver looked in the rear view mirror and says "Alright, students. We have arrived. Make sure you take all of your belongings and carefully watch your step coming off the bus." Ned puts away his deck of cards in his backpack and says "Okay, guys. Are you excited?" Peter smiled and says "You know I am excited to see spiders." Cindy nodded and says "I am too." Ned gets up out of the seat and says "Alright. Let's go." Peter and Cindy moved at the same time and Peter accidentally stepped on her shoe. Cindy winced and says "Ow." Peter was shocked and says "Oh, no. I'm sorry. Are you okay, Cindy?" Cindy moved her foot around to get rid of the stinging pain. "I will be once the stinging goes away." She followed the other students off the bus and Peter just felt bad and his thoughts appeared in his head. 'Way to go, Pete. That's one way to get a girl's attention. Why am I so bad at this?' Peter was the last one off the bus and the other students were escorted in with a guide and a female scientist was waiting by the spider glass cages. The scientist says "Hello, students of Midtown High! I am Valerie Cross and I will be your scientific guide today and we are learning about spiders. I hope you're all excited because I am." She began talking about the first spider as Cindy pulls out a notepad and a pencil. She was taking down notes and Peter was staring at Cindy. He sighed with sadness and Ned slid right next to him. "So, how is it going?" Peter shook his head slowly. "Not so well." Ned was concerned and says "What? Why? What happened?" Peter turned his head and looked at him. "I stepped on her foot while we were trying to get off the bus." Ned slowly nodded his head. "Okay...was it accidental or on purpose?" Peter cleared his throat and says "It was accidental." Ned puts his hands on his hips and slightly frowned. "And you let that drag you down? Pete, you got to go in there and talk to her." Peter says "I don't even know what to say to her." Ned sighed and says "Oh, geez. You're killing me. Just say what you usually say or matter of fact, think before you speak." Peter was trying to wrap around what Ned just said to him and Ned pushed him forward. "Just go over there. I believe you, pal." Peter looked behind him, looking nervous and Ned gestured with his hand to keep on moving. Peter walked slowly and had thoughts in his head. 'Okay, Pete. What do I say to her? Think!' He was getting closer to Cindy by the minute. His thoughts were coming in rapidly. 'Hey, Cindy. I know that I stepped on your foot earlier and...no. Hey, Cindy! Do you have a spare sheet of paper I can....what was that, Pete? Uhhh, Cindy? I think that you are very beautiful and...I suck, I suck! Get with the program! This is going to be really tough, but I got to try to talk to her.' He stopped behind her and inhaled then exhaled quietly as he went next to her. Peter cleared his throat and says "Hello, Cindy. Cool spiders, am I right?" Cindy says "Yes, they are pretty cool. Just like you, Peter." Peter's thoughts suddenly kicked in. 'Wait a minute! Did she just say that I'm cool?! No other person says I'm cool! Wow, Cindy really is a generous and sweet person. I think I got myself a winner here. Yes!' Peter smiled and says "Really?" Cindy says "Yes. You helped me out with my books and you and Ned taught me how to play cards. I say you are pretty cool in my book, no matter what other people say." Peter nodded and says "I appreciate that." Cindy was happy as she was taking down more notes about the spider's genetics. Peter looked at her shoe and wanted to ask her about it. "How's your foot? Does it still sting?" Cindy shook her head while writing. "No, it stopped for a while. The pain went away." Peter still felt bad about it. "I really am sorry about your foot." Cindy turned her head to the side and says "Peter, don't even worry about it. Your apology is accepted." Peter grinned and says "Thank you, Cindy." Cindy turned around and says "You're welcome." Valerie pointed to the next spider cage towards the students. "And this one is the..." One of the students interrupted and says "Hey, that red and blue spider is gone!" The students gasped and one female student says "We got a spider on the loose!" Valerie held her hands up and says "Everyone, calm down! There is nothing to be afraid of. The other scientists are probably searching for it. Just stay calm."

One of the scientists opened the cages and looked inside of them. Meanwhile, the red and blue mutated spider was up above the doorway and it rappeled down on Peter's shoulder. Peter accidentally dropped his pencil and Cindy's fingers slipped when she's trying to hold her mini notepad. The notepad fell on the floor as Cindy went to pick it up and Peter picks up his pencil. All of a sudden, the spider bit Peter on his hand and Peter winced in pain. Ned was concerned and says "Pete, you okay, bro?" Peter looked at his bite on his hand and says "Y-Yeah. I'll be fine. Just fine." Moments later after Peter got bit, Cindy got bit as well by the same spider and she grunted in pain. She saw the bite on her index finger and she waved it to make the sting go away, but it was burning. Cindy gritted her teeth and says "Ouch." Valerie says "Okay, everyone. While the scientists are looking everywhere for the spiders, I'm afraid that we'll have to cancel the Exhibit. I am sorry and you need to evacuate. We don't want anyone to be bitten." The students were murmuring in disappointment. Ned shrugged and says "Well, so much for the field trip. It was boring anyway. Can't wait to go home." Peter smiled and then it went away while he looked at his bite. Cindy was looking at her bite as well and was worried if she's going to get an infection. Ned was busy talking on his cellphone with his mom while Cindy and Peter didn't speak at all as the students were on their way home.

Cindy arrived home looking very pale like a ghost and Junior was at the table doing his homework. Cindy wearily says "Mom, dad. I'm home." Junior says "Hey, Cindy. Whoa...you don't look so good. What happened to you?" Cindy wearily grabbed the railing of the stairs. "Stomachache." Junior wiggled his pencil and says "Yikes. That's not good at all." Cindy went up one step at a time by moving her legs, weakly and Albert Senior saw Cindy and he got worried then spoke in Korean. "Cindy, aleu dangsin gwaenchanh-a?" (Subtitle: Cindy, are you okay?) Cindy nodded slowly and says in Korean. "Ye, papa. Daman ei jag-eun goyaghan." (Yes, papa. Just a little sick.) Albert Senior says in English. "By the way, your mother is working as a scientist now. She made it into her job." Cindy smiled wearily and says "I'm happy for her." She went upstairs and made it to her room. She leaned against the door and it slammed hard. Her vision was getting blurry and she felt like she drunk a lot of whiskey as she dropped her bag on the floor. She was hearing a lot of voices in her head in Korean and distorted, eerie pop music playing as heads to the bathroom. She was struggling to take off her clothes to take a shower, so she went under the showerhead fully clothed and she turned the hot water on. Cindy felt the bite stinging some more and she winced again as she slipped and grabbed the shower curtain really hard. The whole shower curtain that was hooked with the tiles have collapsed and covered up Cindy like a cocoon as she was drowning in a spider-rific nightmare.

In about twelve hours later, the sun was beaming through her blinds and towards the bathroom. Cindy felt a ray of sunlight slightly above her eye and Cindy groaned as she opened her eyes. The sun began to blinded her as she looked around and noticed that she was in the tub. Her thoughts came swirling around in her head. 'It's morning? How in the world did I end up in my bathroom and in the tub?' She tried to move and realized that she is wrapped in the shower curtain like a cocoon with a strange substance that was clear as crystal. The clear substance was sparkling and Cindy's thoughts came once again. 'What is that stuff? Looks like silk or maybe webs? I don't...think that's what it is. What is going on? I'm freaking out. Don't panic, Moon.' She moved her free hand to unwrap herself, so she can move out of the tub. She got out and nearly slipped on the bar of soap that was on the ground. Suddenly, her brain waves and instincts kicked in as she flipped over the soap by using one arm and landed perfectly on her feet. Cindy says "How did I...." She was confused, but she shook her head and reached to grab the soap until a string of web went through her fingertips and the web grabbed the soap and flew into Cindy's hand. She was surprised and says "Whoa!" Cindy's thoughts overwhelmed her and says 'Okay. How am I doing this? Am I still dreaming? Please tell me I'm dreaming. I must be.' She started to pinch herself and says "Ow. Nope. I am not." Cindy covered her mouth and screamed while panicking. Cindy then looked into the mirror and noticed her hair was flowing. Cindy tilted her head and says "Huh? My hair is dry?" She moved her fingers through her hair and it was silky smooth and soft like a feather. Cindy says "No way. No dry and flaky hair? It's silky and soft. Unbelievable. Goodbye, hairdryer. Don't need you anymore." She threw away the hairdryer in the trash and rubbed her face. Cindy was thinking as she smiled. 'And soft, clear smooth skin throughout? No pimples, no zits, no blackspots. Just clear. Have I been touched by an angel because I feel reborn.' She suddenly heard the alarm went off and Cindy says "Well, time for a brand new, strange day at school. Whew." She grabbed her backpack and grabbed her house key and noticed that it was sticking to her hand. "What the?" She pulled the key from her hand and tiny strands of webs appeared. She gasped and says "Okay. This is really crazy." She heard a knock on the door and Nari yelled from downstairs. "Cindy, darling! Are you alright up there?" Cindy yelled back and says "Yes, mom! I am feeling a whole lot better now!" Nari says "That's good! Are you available to come downstairs?" Cindy says "Yes, I am! Coming down, right now!" She went out of the door and jumped over the railing to make it quicker downstairs.

Albert Senior was drinking his coffee and started to choke when he saw Cindy downstairs right by him. Cindy patted his back and says "Papa, you okay?" Albert Senior cleared his throat and coughed a bit and says "I'm fine." Junior says "Cindy, you okay? Because we didn't see you at dinner last night. You really had a stomachache." Cindy nodded and says "Yes, I did and now I feel refreshed." Junior scoffed and laughed. "Refreshed? More like energetic. By the way, what's with your hair?" Cindy shrugged and says "What about it? What's with your teeth?" Junior was upset and says "Hey. Not cool." Nari went to Cindy and puts her fingers through her hair. "Cindy...your hair is silky smooth. What did you do to it?" Cindy says "I don't know. I was in the shower and I made sure that my hair was clean the whole way through." Nari says "That is very impressive. You must've put some product in there." Cindy nodded in agreement and says "Yep. I gotta run or I'll be late for school." Nari says "Okay, you be careful crossing the street heading to your bus." Cindy says "Don't worry. I will. I love you guys." Nari and Albert Senior hugged her and Nari says "We love you too, my cherry blossom." Albert Senior kissed Cindy's head as they let go and Cindy was heading towards the door passing Junior. "See you later, Junior and brush your teeth." Junior rolled his eyes and gave her a peace sign while grinning. Cindy smiled and closed the door. She ran towards the bus stop and saw Ned and Peter in the back of the bus again. She smiled as she got on the bus and headed towards the back. Ned waved and says "Hey, Cindy. How are you this morning?" Cindy smiled says "I never felt this better in my life." Ned says "What?! You said the exact same thing that Peter said." Cindy saw Peter and smiled at him. "Hey, Peter." Peter looked up and says "Hello, Cindy. Crazy day yesterday, huh?" Cindy tilted her head and says "Yes, it was crazy. A spider that escaped its cage wasn't a good sign and I really do hope they find it soon." Ned sucked his teeth and says "Come on, guys. Spiders are tiny." Peter zipped up his bookbag and says "Yeah, but they also come in different sizes, Ned." Ned paused and thought about that for a minute. "Oh, yeah." Cindy chuckled as the bus took off.

A few minutes later, they arrived in the school and Ned was talking to Peter and Cindy while they were walking to their lockers. "I'm just saying that maybe there was an escape hatch for the spider and it shrunk to microscopic size because the hole was too small." Peter looked at him and says "What?" Ned nodded and says "Mm-hm. The power of knowledge and skills." Peter laughed and says "Yeah...also the power of weird and unrealistic." Cindy nodded and says "I would have to agree with Peter on that one." Ned rolled his eyes and says "Oh, come on. That spider had mutated DNA, right? So, you never know what abilities it can do and I say that it shrunk and escaped out of its cell." Peter crossed his arms and says "But that's impossible. No spider can automatically shrink to the size of a tooth. It's metaphysically not possible. What else can it do? Fly with wings?" Ned stopped in his tracks and turned around to face Peter. "That could be so badass." Peter groaned while putting his hand on his face. "You got to stop watching Youtube videos and lay off the chips in the morning time." Ned frowned and says "Hey, that's fat-shaming and I'm offended, sir!" Peter held his hands up and says "Why are you yelling at me? Also I wasn't fat-shaming you." Ned crossed his arms and shook his head in disagreement. "Oh, yes you were." Peter shook his head and says "I was not." Cindy just didn't pay no mind to them as she went to her locker, but there was a sticky note on it. She picked it up and it reads 'IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO USE YOUR ABILITIES, COME FIND ME IN THE COURTYARD RIGHT NOW AND I WILL TEACH YOU.' Cindy thought about it in her head. 'Now, who could've send me this note and how does he know that I have abilities? Hmm...maybe I should go there and find out. Never know until I do.' Cindy looked towards Peter and Ned who were still arguing in the conversation. Cindy says "Guys, I'll be back. I'm going to the restroom." They weren't even listening, so Cindy just shrugged and went on towards the courtyard.
