I don't ship bts members!!! I wanted a gay couple in the book and because it's a bts fanfic it's easy to just use their names. They are two characters NOT real bts members, literally so childish to actually ship real human people. If I could change the names now I would.

Also if you like Taehyung centered books, please read my story Solace! It's a fantasy slow burn + there will be manyyyy spicy scenes. My writing has improved a lot since 2017 so please, check it out if you like Silk Sheets!

Celine rushed into the apartment, throwing her purse to the ground.

Where the fuck was he?

All the lights were off, but she saw their bedroom door open. She ran to the room, trying her best not to trip over her large heels.

Celine rushed in the room, panting and out of breath. Worried out of her mind. Hoping that nothing bad had happened while she was gone.

In the middle of the bed was a smirking Jeongguk. Completely safe and uninjured. He was surrounded by rose petals, bottles of alcohol to his left and right.

"Welcome home." He said in a cute way, like he hadn't almost given her a heart attack.

The 20 phone calls.

The cryptic texts.

All for what?

"What the fuck Jeon?" Celine said in an aggravated tone, stomping her foot on the ground and letting her purse fall. She was confused, and extremely pissed off.

The 18 year old should be flattered. Her heart should be bursting with gratitude. Instead she felt cold, and maybe a little pissed off.

If she had done the same to him while he was working, it would be the end of the world.

Jeongguk sat up, taking a sip of wine. He did look super comfortable in the sheets. The food surrounding him. There wasn't even enough room on the bed for her.

"What? Do you not like the roses? The champagne? The cheese? Or the bath I drew for you? You should be falling at my feet right now, like the nice little girlfriend you are." He asked, taking an obnoxious bite of a strawberry. Not taking anything seriously. The man winked, ignoring her angry expression.

Which in turn, made Celine want to rip her hair out. Did he not understand? They were on such different wavelengths it was impossible.

"No, this is all very wonderful, but I was working! I thought there was an emergency, I thought something happened to you! I was worried sick. You called me home to have wine with you? I can't believe you think you have the right to do that! This is great, just great. Now I'm not going to get paid." Celine said, pacing around the room.

It was true, that she probably wouldn't get paid.

But the issue here was she left Jimin. Her client. Her source of income. It was unprofessional and rude of her. If this were anyone but Jimin, their contract would immediately end. Her work was therefore compromised.

She needed this money to make rent. To build the life that was ripped from her.

And Jimin.

He had looked so alone.

"Babe chill." He said, mumbling with strawberries in his mouth. Downing the rest of the wine, he started to move the food closer to him on the bed.

He really didn't get it.

That her life wasn't meant to revolve around his.

"I can't just chill! This is serious and you're acting like it's a joke." Celine yelled out, ripping off her Winter coat. With all the yelling it was starting to get hot.

That was a mistake.

Jeongguk immediately started to pay more attention, his tongue finding a place in his cheek. He looked suspicious, very much so as he inspected her. Celine stood uncomfortably, trying to think of an excuse for her outfit.

She was hoping he wouldn't say anything, as she walked to the closet. With her back turned, she tiptoed to her clothes.

"Woah, why are you wearing that?" Jeongguk questioned, he already sounded accusatory.

Keep it cool Celine.

Do what you do best.

lie.

"We had a business meeting." She said, whipping her head around to look straight into his dark eyes. Unwavering. She lifted her shoulders and smoothed her hair back, trying to look confident with the answer she'd given.

I was with Jimin. I had an amazing time. I didn't want the night to end.

"Business meeting?" The dark haired man asked, giving me a doubtful look. I swear his eyes were almost black.

His grip on the wine glass tightened, all traces of amusement gone from his face.

Jeongguk could never know.

"Yes, I actually go to business meetings."

I needed him to believe me. I needed to believe in my own lies. That's the only way it worked.

Create my own reality.

"Then why are you drunk right now?" The man asked, his voice slightly rising.

Celine was starting to sweat. She knew it was going to be hard to convince him this time.

Jimin can drink till there's no tomorrow. Can tie a cherry stem with his tongue. He dances with me, unlike you. He's great at it.

"We went out for drinks. I'm not even that drunk." Celine said, knowing it was the truth. She was almost completely sober at this point. The only thing that was still hazy was her reaction time.

Nothing like a fight to sober her up.

Jeongguk laughed humorlessly, not even looking at her. Shaking his head, he started putting the items on the bed away.

"Cut the bullshit. You're ditching me to go fuck around at work?" He said, throwing the snacks in the mini fridge in the room.

Jimin and I talk. We actually talk. Not just about stupid shit. Deep things. Sad things. Real things. But he's funny too. Whenever he smiles, I tend to smile to.

What was he accusing her of? Though she wasn't innocent, she did it for him. Worked for their relationship to prosper. She wouldn't let someone control her life ever again.

"What do you mean? It's fucking mandatory. Just because I don't get paid as much as you doesn't mean it's not as important."

His eyes widened at her words, stopping as she said them. Mouth opening and closing without words. She didn't care.

She was tired of his patronization of her after he told her she needed to make more and work more hours.

The real reason why Jimin's initial post didn't look so bad, after a couple hours of crying about how to repay her boyfriend who made millions.

"Yeah you're right. I bust my ass all day so you can sit and mess around. And then, when I think you're putting in effort, you're off doing whatever."

His face was red at this point. Laying back on the bed, he let his head tilt back onto the headboard. Again, not even looking at her. Words filled with jealousy and hate Celine was not accustomed to.

"I do put in effort! That's why I'm fucking working!"

"Then work! Don't go out for drinks. There's no reason for you to be dressed like a whore!"

The word stung like no other. Jeongguk just sat there, looking at her with unknowing eyes.

She wasn't a whore.

This is why she couldn't tell him.

Jeongguk didn't understand.

That sex workers, strippers, and sugar babies were not whores. Not sluts. They are just people trying to make a living. It just so happens in order for woman to survive, the easiest way is to sell their bodies. Sometimes it was the only way.

She wasn't a whore.

But it didn't mean that his words didn't affect her. It was like her worst fear was playing out in front of her eyes.

Maybe he was right.

"So that's what you think of me?" Celine asked, completely disgusted. Her heart was shriveling up, he body breaking into tiny pieces. She wasn't sure if it was with herself or him.

This was all from an outfit. He didn't even know the half of it.

What would he think of her then?

"I don't know what to think of you anymore. It's like your becoming a different person." Jeongguk said, stumbling over the words. He looked distraught as he ran his hands though his hair.

Celine let her shoulders slump, unable to stand straight under his gaze. The things he said, worried her. Like they were heading towards the end. She didn't want to end things with him. Not now, not ever.

Why did he have to keep breaking her heart tonight?

"God I can't believe what you're saying right now. I'm the one who's different? Where's the sweet Jeongguk I know and love?"

Jeongguk rolled his eyes, smiling with amusement,"He never existed, you built up that image up in that wild imagination you have that makes you act fucking stupid. Where's the nice Celine, oh wait, you're always a sour, stuck up bitch."

"Really." She asked, voice breaking as she felt anger well up in her throat.

Celine hadn't found it funny.

Her boyfriend noticed, sending her a small smile. He yawned, slouching over into his black sheets.

"Sorry, that one was a joke. Can we just not tonight?"

The man was tired. So he gave up. Not even considering the fact that Celine was boiling. That he shouldn't think about sleep when he insult her integrity.

"Why do you always start shit and then act like the victim?"

"C'mon babe. We just made up, do you really want to fight again?" He asked, almost whining at this point.

"Yes, when you're accusing me of being lazy and a whore." She said, looking directly into his dark eyes. She could tell that since he was done with the conversation, he wanted it to end. She pursed her lips, gritting her teeth to the point of discomfort.

"I just don't know why else you'd be getting drinks with your colleagues. Do you like one of them? Do you get off when they call you pretty?"

"Shut the fuck up."

It had been enough.

It had been too much.

"What did you just say to me?" Jeongguk asked, taken aback by her tone.

It felt like the walls caved in on her.

"Shut the fuck up!" Celine screamed out, pushing her nails into the palm of her skin. The yell was so loud, her throat instantly felt sore.

She never yelled like that at him before.

Jeongguk just stared at her, innocent eyes aghast. It looked like his anger had finally left him. For a steely silence, one that told her to be quiet or he wouldn't stay on the bed and let her finish.

"You'll regret saying that tomorrow. Or I can make you regret it tonight. I'll wait for my apology before I leave for work."

"Well then you're going to be late. You might as well just take a sick day." She said, stepping closer to him. She wanted to see the disappointment on his face.

Her words worked, before his face dropped. The haughty expression he wore before died down.

"Celine." Jeongguk said quietly, reaching out to grab her hand.

"No, don't fucking touch me right now." She said sternly, turning her back to him.

His would feel like ice to her.

"Why does it feel like I'm losing you?" Jeongguk asked, voice cracking. She looked into his large eyes, shiny with almost tears. His hair was a mess, eyes all red, thinner pink lips open with sadness.

Her eyes softened, the fondness for him in her heart pulsing. She could see it. It wasn't ignorance, or lack of care.

He cared too much. His jealousy and anger were not okay, but it was because he loved her.

He was scared of the same things as her.

Jeongguk was afraid to lose her.

Her anger had become less important; the need to help him coming to the forefront.

"You're not. You've had me since day one." Celine said, trying her best to reassure him. She had softened at this point, to weak to keep fighting.

What she had said was true.

"It doesn't feel like it. I miss you all the time." He said, sending her a small bunny smile.

As if it would melt all their problems away.

"Then don't act like a dick." She responded back, trying to give him a genuine smile back.

It was hard.

"I'm sorry I'm acting like this, this isn't me."

And this isn't me.

She took off the dress. Wiped off the makeup. Pulled on some PJs and hopped into bed.

Jeongguk reached out to her. His hand almost touching her shoulder. He moved away from she cringed away from his touch.

Celine curled up on her side, facing the wall. Away from Jeongguk. He did the same.

It made the distance between them grow.

-------------

Jimin waited in the quaint coffee shop. The aroma of a French press and Colombian brew wafted around the air. He looked almost out of place, in his simple black suit and styled hair. Everyone around him had adopted a grungy look. But it didn't really matter.

Everyone stared at him anyways. Not that he paid much attention. He wasn't a fan of being stared at, so he tried to ignore it to his best ability.

Checking his watch, he saw that it was already 3:00 pm. And no one showed up yet. It was expected of the other three in his group.

This is what happens when you try to have a friend gathering during a work break.

He really hoped they would show up soon. He hadn't eaten all day because he wanted to wait for them. It would be rude if he got food and coffee before they arrived.

Jimin liked silence.

But silence left room for thoughts.

And his thoughts often wondered to a certain person he wasn't allowed to think about at all.

Last night. The red, the darkness, and the feel of her against him. He wished the images away, not knowing how to react. It had all been perfect. There was just her and him.

Celine often left him feeling enchanted. He wasn't sure if it was the way she smiled, or how she spoke with a purpose. He honestly just liked to listen to her speak. She always kept him guessing, unsure of what savage or crass thing she'd say next.

When they were together it felt right.

Then Jeongguk. Her boyfriend. His best friend called.

He hated that she had to leave.

Hated himself for caring. Because it was wrong for him to. In order for this to work, he had to keep some distance between them. The way he acted the night before was unlike him.

"Stay with me," was what he wanted to say.

But he never would. He knew that she would leave, and never again return. It would hurt to watch Celine choose another instead of him.

But a person walking in interrupted his thoughts. Jeongguk himself.

For some reason, Jimin didn't feel guilty for what he was doing. It was strange, considering the amount of love he had for his friend. It was an act of betrayal that could honestly rip apart their friendship.

When he found out at Hoseok's, he was going to end it.

When he asked Celine to meet, it was going to be in order to stop it. To keep the whole accident a secret and never speak of it again.

But he walked in and saw her. Standing, and waiting for him. Looking at the blue flower on the canvas in the room. And for a spilt second she looked like someone be used to know.

Someone he used to love.

A friend. A close friend. Not a romantic love of any sorts, but still love that he couldn't forget.

Jimin couldn't let her go.

Also something didn't sit right with Jimin, about the way his friend treated Celine. He wasn't exactly sure yet, but with the recent fight he saw how badly she was upset. He wanted to figure out exactly what was going on. Maybe even help to stabilize their relationship.

Jimin knew he could treat her better.

But if Jeongguk is who she wanted, he'd fully support it.

"Hey Jimmy Moron." Said a cheery Jeongguk. The man strolled over, with a brawny grin and his hands in his pockets. He wore a white dress shirt and it left Jimin wondering how the man wasn't freezing his balls off.

He sat down next the the older man, sending an apologetic smile for being late.

"Hello man who sits at home and likes to play video games and probably has sex with his socks on." Jimin responded back, slapping the dark haired man on the shoulder. He tried to give his best disapproving look, but Jeongguk pinched his cheeks.

Though Jeon thought it was cute, he was also taken aback by Jimin's words,"Damn, you just did the most. Stop playing hard to get. I know you miss me."

Jimin scrunched up his nose, trying to hide his grin, "I literally saw you two days ago. But yeah, you're right."

"I know." Said the younger, crossing his legs and casually sitting back in his seat.

"You wanna get food?" Asked an excited Jimin, bouncing like a new born puppy. His silver hair was flopping around as well, causing Jeongguk to look at him adoringly.

His stomach had been grumbling for over an hour now. He wanted a blueberry muffin with sugar on top and a mocha latte.

Jeongguk shook his head, instantly causing Jimin's mood to deflate,"Actually I just ate. I kinda just came here to talk."

Jimin pouted, not saying anything to the younger. He was regretting not getting anything now. He didn't want to be rude and leave while they were talking.

"Oh, okay. So tell me what's new." He said, smiling excitedly at his friend.

Jeongguk deflated, letting out a sigh as he crossed his legs,"Nothing much. The company had been doing well, amazing actually. The stocks you invested in are soaring."

He usually never talked about work. It weirded Jimin out. The dark haired man must have been hiding something.

"Then why do you look so glum?" Asked a concerned Jimin. As best friends, their lies never made it far.

"No reason." Jeongguk said, abiding eye contact with his elder. He knew that he'd be able to see that he wasn't indeed okay at all.

Jimin rolled his eye, laying a small hand on his friends shoulder. Jeongguk gave him a worried look, eyes flickering from him to the floor.

"I know you Jeongguk, and that is your sad face."

"Nope." The younger man still continued to say. He shook his head side to side.

"Do you want to tell me before Jin and Hoseok get here? Or after?" Jimin asked with a smile, eyebrow quirked. The silver haired man had him now.

Jeongguk was shook, eyes widening a lot as he thought of the possibility.

"Okay fine, I'll tell you."

Before he was about to speak, a girl walked by. She must have been younger, for she was wearing a school uniform. Tall, pretty, but nothing really special.

Jimin watched suspiciously as she eyed his friend. Apparently she thought she was special enough to catch his attention.

He won't fall for it.

"Hey." She said as she passed Jeongguk.

Jeongguk turned around, eyeing the girl. He gave her a quick wink, causing her to giggle before he turned back around.

"Did you just wink at her?" Asked a flabbergasted Jimin. As a man who never had a relationship, he'd never do that. Even a wink to the caring man felt like cheating.

He was even more surprised Jeongguk was okay with flirting back.

"Yeah, so?" The man asked, looking proud of himself. He pretended to dust of his shoulders.

Jimin stared blankly, wondering why he seemed all impressed with himself. The girl was young.

She wasn't Celine.

The silver haired man wished his brain had an off button.

Even thinking her name made his heart pound.

"I mean you have a girlfriend and all..."

"Is it wrong to look?" Jeongguk asked, getting defensive. His heavy eyebrows furrowed, jaw tense leaving Jimin a little uncomfortable.

"I-I don't know. I'm not in a relationship."

But Jeongguk wouldn't accept the answer. He wanted to push his friend. Wanted to see if his best friend really questioned his morals.

"No, but you're a gentle and caring guy. Is it wrong to look at other woman, how can we not? Us men are wired that way, we can't expected to not stare."

"I don't know why you'd want to. Celine is everything you've ever wanted. You told me she was your ideal type." Jimin said quietly, almost muttering into his chest. They were starting to get loud, the people in the cafe turning their heads to look at them.

I'm not dating Celine.

But ever since that one night

I haven't thought, touched, kissed, or even looked at another woman but her.

Jeongguk had her, he had Celine. Why even risk not having her?

What Jimin had actually said was still too truthful. It touched the line that separated him and the women he was talking about. Jeongguk wanted him to care about his girlfriend, but not to the point where the younger felt threatened. He was starting to cross dangerous waters.

Jimin hoped Jeongguk couldn't tell that his face was red after saying her name.

It wouldn't help the situation at all.

Jeongguk contorted his face, mocking the high pitched voice of his friend. Jimin wasn't sure whether to laugh or be offended.

"Of course you'd say that. Everyone would say that. I just feel so insecure when everyone around me wants to smash her."

"What are you even saying?" Jimin asked, face scrunched in confusion.

"She's gorgeous, and everyone can see that. It's not something I can hide. Whenever I see a man looking at her I just want to kill them."

He didn't expect his friends words to have a strong effect on him. The 21 year old tried his hardest not to care. But at this point, all hope was lost.

Celine is a person, not a trophy.

Jimin was getting pissed. The way he was talking about her was disgusting.

The man before him was acting so immature. Though Jeongguk was his best friend, he wasn't used to this side of him. In the sense, he'd cheat and end the relationship early after three months. Or try to screw around in Jimin's.

Jimin never expected his lack of respect would one day dissipate, through maturity and age. He wondered if there was an appropriate way to show him how amazing Celine was. How her face and body were only a small star in the universe that was her.

He realized that Jeongguk would have punched him in the face.

"Slow your roll there bud. She's your girlfriend, it shouldn't matter." Jimin said, trying to diffuse the younger's negative comments.

The whole situation was sadistic. Jimin was giving Jeongguk advice.

When he was truly the only man Jeongguk had to be worried about.

The thought should have made him feel ashamed. Jimin should be doing anything for his friend. Apologizing, asking for forgiveness, and attempting to repent.

But instead, he smirked with triumph at the realization.

What is wrong with me?

Jeongguk shook his head, voice getting quieter,"But you don't understand. She walked in last night, all dressed up. And tipsy too. Probably all for her boss. Hoseok and Jin loved her. You and her have that "art" meeting soon."

"Or maybe she was dressing up to look professional. And maybe, just maybe Jin and Hoseok actually like her personality? And that art thing is something both her and I cherish. I'm not doing it because of her face?" He said, not believing his friends ignorant thought process.

Celine wasn't kidding about the fight. Jeongguk truly told her that it was because she was pretty. If that isn't fucked up, Jimin didn't know what was.

This relationship was starting to sound worse and worse to him. What did Celine have to go through on a daily basis? It started with a small pain in his stomach, his throats feeling itchy. At this point, he was completely nauseous.

"Maybe. Maybe not. But I'm placing bets that you all just find her hot. And yeah, you both like art. But at least you're more respectable. You have a gallery and credentials."

The way he said it, was unlike his usually charming best friend. It was filled with so much burning hate. And it was directed at him. His friend's whole body was tense, eyes drilling a hole into him.

"Have you always been this much of an asshole? I can't believe you're seriously saying this right now." Jimin didn't understand why he couldn't just support his girlfriend.

Art made her happy.

Did Jeongguk not know that? Or did he just not give a fuck?

It left him wondering about a lot of things. This whole situation was starting to seem shady to him.

But could he judge? When he was fucking his best friend's girl.

"I don't fucking know anymore. My parents are putting things into my head and I'm starting to feel a little crazy."

"Like what?"

"They're saying things like I should be with someone better. Celine is beautiful, but she lacks that "high society" image. That I should find a more proper girl to marry." Jeongguk said, finally giving some insight to the situation.

Jimin knew his parents. He wished that he didn't. They were terrible people, and only cared about material things. They were obsessed with their image.

"But you love her right? That matters more than their stupid and bigoted opinions. That matters more than anything in the world." Jimin said, his voice raising with conviction.

"I do love her, of course I do. But they've had conversations about cutting me off. That isn't enough for me to end things. I truly do love her. But my parents might try to make her leave me."

"So you're telling me you can't stand up to your parents? How old are you?"

"Jimin, this is serious. It's not about me. It's about her. Lately she's been acting different. We've gotten into so many fights, over nothing. I don't know what to do. What if she wants to leave me too? I can't let her."

Let her?

Jimin shook his head, giving his pal the side eye. Somehow the man had managed to twist the situation so that nothing was blamed on him.

"Are you sure it's she's the one acting different? Or are you projecting your insecurities onto her, and therefore creating problems when there shouldn't be any?" The cute man said seriously, watching Jeongguk ponder his words.

"So you're blaming this all on me?" The immature man asked after five minutes.

Jimin let out a groan, slapping himself on the forehead. He was trying not to slap his friend in the face.

"No, fuck just listen. Jeongguk she loves you. You love her. That is the only thing that should count. Fight for her. And if you aren't willing to, end it with her before it's too late."

He watched as Jeongguk's whole demeanor changed. Jimin recognized the jealous glint in the man's eyes.

It was the same as what he felt last night.

"What, so you can be her knight in shining armor?"

"Kookie, I'm just trying to help." Jimin said, holding his hands up in surrender.

He truly was.

It didn't matter that Jeongguk was a dick. It didn't matter that he was disrespectful.

All he could think about, was the expression on Celine's face if they ever broke up.

He wouldn't let her get hurt like that.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I can't trust anyone anymore."

"That's fucked up to say, especially after I-" Jimin started angrily, about to say something he would definitely regret.

"Hello boys." Spoke Hoseok unassumingly. He walked in with Jin, ready to have fun with his friends. They both stopped, looking confused.

Jeongguk and Jimin didn't look away from each other, having a stare off with blank expressions.

The damage was done. Jeongguk knew what he was about to say.

"Wow, someone could cut the tension in here with Jimin's extremely sharp jaw line." Jin said, waving his hand on his face as if he were hot. Both him and Hoseok sat down across from them in opposing chairs.

"Thanks Jin." Jimin said with a smile, finally looking up.

He was glad that they had arrived. He wasn't sure what would have happened if they didn't.

Jin opened up his phone, not even bothering to look up,"You're welcome buttercup. Your one compliment per month was just used."

Hoseok made a face, wondering why Jin didn't give him a compliment once per month, "Anyways, what were you guys just talking about?"

"Oh, nothing." Jeongguk said, not even looking at Jimin.

The smaller boy nodded his head, agreeing so they wouldn't have to get involved.

"I don't believe you. Jimin my truthful king, what is the situation?" Hoseok said, reaching forward to squeeze his cheeks.

Jimin pushed him away, trying hard not to smile at the gesture.

"It was nothing."

Hoseok flashed him a disapproving look, while Jin took the bait.

"Okay, well then let's talk about important matters. Namjoon, that guy who bartends at your bar, asked me on a date!" Jin said, waving around his hands. It made his sparkly blue jacket shimmer in the bright day light.

(Imagine is name to be Jerry if you would like because again, it is not really Namjoon)

"Really? I'm so happy for you!" Hoseok said, clapping his hands like a seal.

Jin shot him a look, eyes narrowed.

"Don't ask surprised Hoseok."

The orange haired man immediately stopped clapping.

"Ooh, you gotta tell me if he jacks it the way he shakes around though margarita mixers." Jeongguk spoke up, making Jimin roll his eyes.

Guess he was finally done being a prick.

"JK, shut up." Said Jin, though he was slightly smiling.

"I'm so excited for you man. You've been crushing on him for years." Jimin said, feeling the sincerity. Jin often had a hard time finding people who could handle him.

It made Jimin happy to know his best friend could find love. He just hopes Namjoon is good enough for him. But knowing Jin, he only picks the best.

"I know! And get this, he was in a committed relationship. But then he saw me. He told me it was love at first sight!"

Jimin froze upon his words.

It must be nice.

"It's very possible, with that face." Jimin said, fluttering his eye lashes. Maybe he'd get a second compliment from the goofy man.

Jin mock cried, bringing Jimin into a hug which he fully reciprocated.

"This is why you're my favorite. Everyone else take notes." He said, pursing his lips at Jeongguk and Hoseok.

Jeongguk just looked away, pretending not to care.

"I-I hate you." Said an annoyed Hoseok. He was constantly striving for Jin's attention.

"Leave out the stutter next time. It will be way more hurtful to me then." Jin said, blowing the man a quick kiss. To which his companion "caught".

"Jimin." Jeongguk said out of nowhere.

It caught the man by surprise, because he was pretty sure they decided to ignore each other earlier. The dark haired man had a dangerous look in his eyes. Jimin knew that was he was going to say wasn't going to be good.

"Yes?" Jimin asked hesitantly, an eyebrow raised.

Jin and Hoseok waited with anticipation, not catching onto the tension.

"Have any girls caught your eye?" His best friend asked, acting casual in a mocking way.

He knew what he was trying to do. And it was pathetic.

She's more than caught my eye. She's been in my bed.

He erased that thought, feeling like it was too shallow in regards to Celine. She mattered more than that to him.

"No, because girls aren't prey. They are people." Jimin said, folding his hands onto his lap.

Jeongguk shook his head, visibly annoyed by his reply.

"And fish are friends, not food. We get it dumbass."

"I thought what he said was sweet." Hoseok said, making a heart with his hands. Jimin sent Jeongguk a smirk, knowing he outplayed him in the situation.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Jeongguk grumbled, sitting back further in his seat.

"What about you buddy, any love on your radar?" Jin asked politely.

Hoseok shrugged, sending the group finger guns.

"Nope, not at all. I'm too busy making millions. I opened a dance studio though."

"Really? Can I come?!" Jimin said, feeling better than he had the entire day. The one thing he loved as much as art was dance. He and Hoseok used to dance together, but their favorite studio closed down 3 months ago. They hadn't gone back since.

To Jimin, they were almost the same thing. Both has the same premise, you can create something that makes people feel.

"Yeah, of course. We could have a duo teaching session." The orange haired man gushed out.

"That would be awesome."

"Can we go check it out now? I don't even like coffee. This place is filled with plebeians." Jin said, curling his lip while looking at the rest of the cafe-goers.

"Dude what the fuck?" Said Jeongguk, making a meme face. No one knew what a plebeian was.

Hoseok gave him a look to be quiet as they all stood up.

"Just ignore him." He said, clutching on to Jeongguk's arm. The man kept on staring at Jin, whispering the words so that he wouldn't hear him.

Jin who was talking to Jimin whipped his head around. He had a bit in "talking behind his back" alert system.

"What was that, Hoe-suck my dick?"

Hoseok laughed uncomfortably, eyes widening in a panic."I said that Jeongguk must adore you!"

"Good, that's what I thought I heard!" Jin said, throwing his head back with a classy giggle, "C'mon Juan. If you miss my uber then you'll have to ride a tiny tike bike over."

And Jimin left with them, stomach still empty. He didn't want to ruin their fun by getting anything to eat.

................

Jimin was glad when he finally made it home. He loved seeing his friends, but it also drained him sometimes. Especially since Jeongguk was acting so different. It was hard for the man to be around him. The feeling was something he had trouble describing. Getting into fights always left Jimin uncomfortable.

Even if he wasn't wrong, he still felt like it was all his fault. Maybe he'd call him later.

But first things first, food.

Jimin decided he should probably go eat now. For a minute he let go of the his internal pressures. He dressed in a warm red sweater and comfortable pants. The man walked down the city street, with a slight smile and his hands within his pockets. The chilly wind nipped at his button nose, tinting the tip and his cheeks with a rosy hue.

It was dark, and the cloudy sky looked ready to burst with snow. For a second he wished his mind was a camera, so he could take a photo and keep it in his memories.

Though he realized he probably should have been looking ahead, but not before he bumped into someone. Jimin looked down, panic arising. He held onto the person's shoulders, hoping they were okay. It was a girl, her dark brown hair whipping into his face. She smelled like rose.

He knew who it was before she even looked up.

"Oh, hi Jimin." Celine said, moving out of his grasp.

He wasn't sure what it was. But seeing her this time was so different. It was the first time he'd truly seen her without planning it, and when they were on good terms. It was so out of context, so casual that she finally felt real to him.

Most of the time she was like a dream.

Jimin felt his heart starting to hammer. It must have been from the shock of them running into each other, literally.

She looked so beautiful then. Doing nothing. She was wearing gray sweatpants and a light blue hoodie that swallowed up her small body. It looked more like a dress. Her long dark hair waved around her shoulders, golden eyes bright. Lips, nose, and cheeks all dotted with a gentle pink. Her smile was uncharacteristically wide, showing all of her teeth and the slight dimple on her cheek.

She usually looked seductive or annoyed with him. What she was showing now was something he preferred. The girl just looked happy to see him. He wasn't sure how to react.

"Hi." Jimin said, almost breathlessly.

That's all you could say? Fucking Hi? Good one Jimin.

Celine giggled, her laughs getting caught in the winter wind. Jimin wished he could have the cute sounds on record.

"How's it going?" She said, rocking back and forth on her heels. The girl looked from left to right, not truly knowing what else to say. It made Jimin smile.

"You're so awkward. It's almost endearing." Jimin said, in a mocking tone. He liked the way she rolled her eyes when he pushed her buttons. It was his favorite thing about her, that she could be mean in a good way.

Their humor matched up seamlessly.

"Whatever fuck you. I hope your night was shitty." She said, her voice rising to a higher pitch. The girl cutely kicked the ground, her small hands finding their way into pockets.

"Same to you, buddy." Jimin said, giving her a sarcastic wink.

"Ew, never call me that again." The brunette said with disgust. Her eyes were shining with laughter, though she hid it well.

"Hmm, okay buddy." Jimin said, trying his hardest not to laugh. His eyes were squeezing so close together he could barely see her.

Celine shook her head, letting out a breath that turned into mist from the cold,"Why are you out so late?"

Jimin shrugged his shoulders, weight shifting from one foot to another. He was famished at this point, but he knew if he said that there conversation would end. And he still wanted to keep talking to her.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"I-" Jimin's words were interrupted from the loud grumble that came from his stomach.

"Are you hungry?" Celine asked, eyebrow quirked up. She knew that he was too polite to say anything.

"Yeah, but it can wait." Jimin said, letting his eyes shift to the ground. Staring too long at her often left him with red cheeks.

Celine came forward, grabbing onto his wrist. He heart leapt as her soft skin connected with his. He looked into her golden eyes, trying to find something, anything that would explain how she feels.

But she was a closed book.

"No, c'mon. I'll pay for dinner." She said, cutely trying to pull on him. The girl managed to pull him only a little, causing her to lose her balance more than him.

Jimin managed to keep her from tripping, pulling her closer to him.

"We never agreed on that." Jimin said, referring to the contract.

He watched as realization flashed before her eyes, dainty shoulders sinking.

They were too close already.

But instantly, her smiled perked back up.

"We don't have to. I'm just Celine and you're just Jimin right now." She said, as if that made all the sense in the world.

"What does that even mean?" Jimin said, finally letting go of his rigid stance on the sidewalk. He didn't even realize he had started walking with her until then.

Celine smiled gently, keeping a tight grip on the sleeve of his sweater.

"This moment is separate from all of that. Weren't you the one who said we could be friends too?"

Jimin let out a large sigh, looking down at the cute girl. He couldn't deny that. The ideology made sense. But that was before he really knew her.He wasn't sure if he could keep that promise now.

It's easier said than done.

"And what does this friendship mean to you?"

"It's means that I won't let my friend starve." Celine said, poking his puffy cheek with her index finger.

He wasn't surprise she was doing something buying food for him. Jimin was surprised how open she was being. There was usually something holding her back, weighing her down. He wondered what was making her so happy.

"That's fair, I guess." The man said with a smile. For some reason the winter air had no affect on him. The silver haired man felt all warm and fuzzy inside as the small girl pulled on his arm.

It was nice, how she wanted to take care of him. How she became his friend so easily. Jimin liked to observe her, to figure out what made her so intricate.

She was the type of person to do caring things, and then pretend she didn't. Celine didn't want attention, or care in return, she just liked making people feel happy. Though she had a hard exterior, she was the kindest anyone had been to him all day.

It's not like he wouldn't have gone. He had a hard time saying no to her.

"I know a great place, we're basically there." Celine said, pulling on him at a faster pace.

His eyes widened, almost tripping over his feet until they stopped at a bright neon sign.

Jimin looked at the place with resentment, wondering why she chose this place. He head turned to the side, taking in the excited girl's expression. Celine stood there, hands clasped in front of her face. The blue light from the sign made her skin glow, and her eyes sparkle in a way that made Jimin feel light headed.

"A convenience store?" He asked, wondering how such a boujee girl could pick a place like this. The sidewalk was littered with gum, a single man smoking outside. An old woman was the only person at the counter.

"Yes? They have the best noodles around."

"Says who?"

Celine let out a single loud laugh, making the man who was smoking the cigarette jump.

"Wow, you really are rich. Says any struggling adult." She said, crossing her arms.

Her statement confused her. From what he knew about her, she never had trouble with money.

"But isn't your family rich?"

He watched as her eyes widened, biting her lip nervously. Apparently she let that bit of information slip out by accident. It made Jimin feel strange. She trusted him enough to speak freely.

"Hmm, that's a story for another night." She said, letting out a groan. Celine had acted casual about the whole thing, but Jimin's curious mind wouldn't let the situation go.

They walked into the stores, the primary colors they wore blending into the long aisles. The chestnut haired girl wove in and out of them as if it were her job. Jimin followed behind closely, amused by the whole situation.

Jimin just liked being in her presence. Watching the way her hair swung as she walked. The way she always looked as if she were standing on her tiptoes. The serious way she was perusing all of the food options. All he could do was stand there, and smile like an idiot.

"The beef ones are the best. The flavor is amazing. You're going to love it." She said, her voice bringing him out of his trance.

"I highly doubt it." He said, just trying to push her buttons.

The funny girl let out a huff, picking up the two noodle cups from the shelf. She stood up straight, and giving Jimin a glare. It happened to be the cutest thing he'd ever seen.

"I'll bet you. If you hate them, I'll buy you a real meal. If you like it, I guess you'll just have to take me out to dinner another time." She said, sending him a glance as she hurried to the front register.

The lean man quickly followed after her, trying to catch up to her pace.

Even though she won in every situation, Jimin still agreed to it.

"Deal. Just so you know I love steak houses." Jimin said, hoping she'd take note for when she lost the bet.

She let out a laugh, quickly placing the food on the counter. The old lady gave her.

"Whatever." Celine said in a sing song way. He instantly grabbed the bag off the counter, not giving her a chance to carry it. They went over to the microwave, pouring in water and seasonings. Within five minutes, thy had a gourmet meal.

They walked out of the comfort of the warm store, the loud bell ringing with the brisk chill wind. The pair sat at a metal table, plastic chairs draping against the cement ground.

"So why were you out so late?" Jimin asked, gathering up some noodles covered in broth. He blew on them, plump lips pushing out as he fended off the steam.

Celine looked down, putting the sleeves of her sweatshirt over her small hands.

"I don't know, just thinking." She said, without really any elaboration.

Jimin nodded his head, taking the first bite. He let out a cough, broth almost spewing out of his nose. They tasted horrible. The man put on a straight face, attempting to swallow the mass in his throat. He was able to do it, but slyly pushed the cup away from him.

Luckily she didn't notice because she was slurping away at her own cup.

"About what?" He asked, continuing to cough into his hands.

"Friday. When I hand over my portfolio to you." Celine said, finally making eye contact again. She was visibly worried, her eyes downcast and body following the same gray mood.

Jimin felt determined. Even if she wasn't good, he still wanted her to believe so.

What made her so unsure of herself?

Part of him knew it was Jeongguk. But something else had entered her mind as well.

"Don't be nervous, I bet you're great." He said, sending her an encouraging smile. It was hard to watch such a strong person look so vulnerable.

It made him curse Jeongguk under his breath. Jimin could feel himself getting angry at earlier. The man had done more damage then good.

"I don't feel that way. Everyone my whole life has told me I'm not. They always compare me to-" She faltered, not finishing her thought.

"To who?" Jimin asked, leaning closer to her. The closer he got to her warm figure, the further she ran away from him. Her golden eyes were alive, then shut down into a darkness no one could reach.

"No one. I'm not good enough to be compared to anyone."

"I hate that you put yourself down. Don't you know how much that can damage you? Even if everyone is against you, even if the whole world hates you. Love yourself, even if you're the only one who can."

"Very poetic, but it's easier said then done." Celine said, putting  her head onto her right hand as she leaned on the table.

Another moment, where Jimin wished he could have taken a mental picture.

"I know that. Because I struggle with it everyday."

The words came out before he could stop them. The honesty of what he said shocked him. He'd never had this conversation before with anyone. Park Jimin wasn't allowed to be insecure.

But like Celine has said, he was just Jimin with her.

She looked taken aback. Jimin had again crossed the line of their relationship. It was starting to feel less and less wrong.

Especially if it was meant to help her.

Fucking idiot.

She shook her head, bringing herself closer to him. Even to smell her rose perfume. Her large eyes scanned his face, making him feel more self conscious then ever. His heart sped up as her heart shaped lips came so close to him.

"How could you not love yourself? You're perfect." She said, using her usually biting tone of voice. It was so blunt and so sudden.

"Oh really?" Jimin asked, taking full advantage of the situation. He sat back in his seat, allowing his sharp jaw line to be shone. He sent her a daring wink, followed by his signature smirk.

I think the same way about you too.

Her cheeks reddened, as she watched him. Her hands absentmindedly pulled on her hair, "God, never mind. Pretend that didn't happen."

Jimin let out a chuckle, before getting serious again.

"In all honesty, that's what we always say to other people right? When someone says they hate their hair, we always say it's beautiful. When people insult themselves we can never see the faults that they see. Self hate is all our insecurities manifesting into fake flaws. The only thing that is flawed is our confidence."

"What are your flaws?"

"My face is too chubby. My neck is too long. My lips are too big. My chest is too bony. I'm too short. I'm too nice. I let everyone walk all over me. I'm too weak. I didn't eat all day because I felt like I would bother my friends if I asked."

"But that's not true. How could you even think that? You're so pretty that I feel jealous looking at you. You're a kind person, why be ashamed?"

Stop saying that. Stop making my stomach twist into knots. Stop being kind and affectionate.

"See? That's the point. When I see ugliness, you see beauty." Jimin said, trying to point out her hypocrisy.

If she didn't know she was amazing, who could. In Jimin's eyes, he could never compare to her.

No one deserved her.

Not even the perfect, golden Jeongguk.

"Yeah, but you're actually great. Me, I'm not anything like you. I don't like the way my hair looks. My face is too round. I hate my eyes. I'm kind of a bitch. I want nice words to come out but they always end up meaner than intended. I'm talented, but not enough for anyone to care. I've made so many mistakes." She said, speaking wildly with her hands.

Jimin shook his head, his jaw almost dropping," And I thought I was bad. You may just be more insecure than I am."

Celine rolled her eyes, making her long lashes stand out against her glowing skin,"Thanks Jimin, but aren't you supposed to reassure me that I've got it all wrong?"

"No. First of all, you said you hate compliments pertaining to your appearance. Secondly, I want you to tell yourself that you're wrong."

"But I can't, then I'd be lying."

"It may start out as a lie, but eventually it will become the truth."

"Huh?" She asked, face scrunching all up.

She looked so cute that way. All bundled up in her blue hoodie. Lips poured out and smooth. Hair tousled and gently waving down her shoulders. Jimin often had to pause and remind himself to stay calm.

Once an angel, always an angel.

Jimin leaned forward onto the table, crossing his arms on the cold metal. He stared directly into her eyes, smiling at the way she bashfully blinked. It wasn't a good idea, for he had again become lost within her. Forgetting what he had even wanted to say in the first place .

His voice came out deeper, more intense than he had hoped,"Like for example, I like talking to you. But I also really want to kiss you right now. I'm going to tell myself I don't want to kiss you until the thought goes away."

She nodded her head, contemplating what he said for a few seconds. He was glad she hadn't realized the true nature of his words.

That is, until she leaned even closer to him, forcing him to move back. Even then, there noses had made contact, chilling the other.

"What if I want you to kiss me." The tempting girl said, looking up through her lashes.

Jimin gulped, feeling his chest tighten. Why was she like this? He was trying to be good, and do the right thing. Not wanting to fall for her trap, though he unintentionally set it up. Jimin was trying to be her friend. But she made it so hard. He tried to lean a bit further away, but her gaze kept him grounded.

"Um, that's not the point Celine." Jimin said, glancing to the side.

Avoiding her lips.

But she didn't listen. Jimin's heart pounded as he felt a soft kiss on the corner of his mouth. It had only been for a second, but the tingling sensation ran across his entire body. He faced her completely, unable to deny her at this point.

She's going to be the death of me.

They met completely cold lips meeting. The smooth friction instantly creating warmth. Her lips felt right against his, matching the same intensity and eagerness. The kiss was gentle, and again was outside the premise of their Sugar Daddy agreement.

Is that why it felt so special? Is that why I have butterflies right now?

It felt like they were pushing, pulling, and becoming connected. It reminded him of waves meeting the shore. It was natural, pretty, and meant to happen.

His pulse raced through him, he wanted to touch her. But she had already pulled away.

He wanted to pull her back into his arms. To keep kissing her until she felt safe. But he knew that it wasn't his place to do so.

"Sorry, but I really should get going." Celine said, looking away from him. All that had connected them before unable to be seen on her face.

"Yeah, same." Jimin responded, knowing that their time had ended for the night.

She was all mine. And then she was gone.

"Oh shit, do you need me to walk you home?" Jimin said, not wanting her to be alone. He couldn't imagine that the small girl would be able to defend herself if she walked home alone.

"No, I can get an uber."

"Alright, I'll wait with you until it gets here."

"Why?"

"Because it would suck if you got kidnapped." Jimin said, bringing in humor to the statement. He didn't want to freak her out or anything. Telling her that he cared wouldn't be the best idea.

"Yeah, that'd be a bummer." She replied, slightly nudging him. They shared a smile, reveling at the dark clouded sky.

"Celine?" Jimin started, voice becoming weak.

He didn't know how to bring up the topic. The man felt ashamed, and embarrassed.

"Yes?" She responded back, probably wondering what else he possible had to say.

"I'm sorry if I was rude last night."

Jimin had hated the way he acted. Jeongguk was her boyfriend. He was nothing to her.

How could ever expect anything different?

He waited as she pondered his words. Recognition had shown in her eyes. She looked up at him, eyes filled with concern.

"You weren't. I'm the one who left." She sounded genuinely sorry about it. But he didn't want her too.

"Yeah, but it's fine. You're not obligated to have sex with me. If anything happens, just let me know."

"Thanks, that's good to know."

"I put the $7,000 in your account already." Jimin said, leaning back in his chair. The man whispered that part. He knew with her stubborn personality that she wouldn't take it well.

Celine immediately reacted, almost jumping up out of her seat.

"Jimin why?! You didn't have to do that! You really shouldn't have!"

I wanted to.

Jimin just stayed silent. He couldn't explain to her that her company was enough. That he'd give her $100,000 no matter what she did. She made him that happy.

"Don't worry about it." He said, waving her off. The 21 year old was just as stubborn as she could be.

"Jimin, take it back."

"No, buy yourself pretty paint brushes and a nice palette. That's what matters right now."

"But it doesn't matter. Buying all of that won't help my technique or material."

Jimin again saw the streak of insecurity. He wanted to wash it all away. To cleanse her mind of every negative comment she had ever received. He wanted to build her up. Mold her into the divine person she was meant to be.

"No one has given you a chance before, have they? Even when you really needed it."

Her eyes became glassy. For a second he thought they would kiss again. Instead she spoke.

"Jimin I-" Celine said, stopping after a second.

He wasn't sure what she was going to say.

But he knew it wouldn't be good for either of them.

"I'll see you around. I owe you a dinner." Jimin said with a wink, getting up out of his seat. Though he hated the noodles, he'd never tell her. He knew how much she wanted him to like them.

He'd eat a million more cups to be with her.

"I told you so." She said with a knowing smile.

One that shattered his heart so many times.

"Goodnight Celine. Sweet dreams." He said, taking one last look of her. Sending her a smile filled with all the gratitude he had for her.

Wanting to relive this perfect moment in time.

"Goodnight." Her soft voice repeated back.

Jimin was gone.

And Celine was left to her thoughts.

Don't go.

Stay.

It took him walking away, to realize that Celine was in trouble.

He was starting to become addictive.

She couldn't stop now, she had succumbed to his aura. The presence that was Park Jimin.

Like Eve taking a bite of the tempting apple, Adam had invited her to a glorious sensation.

Feeling complete.

(A/N): Here's an update for 1K READS! THIS IS CRAZY TO ME, SINCE THIS IS THE FASTEST IVE EVER GOTTEN READS!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT IVE RECEIVED ❤️❤️💛💛

This chapter is one of my favorites. And also 10k words so, you know my wrist are hurting. I want people to see that friendships are just as meaningful as relationships.

As a side note, I hope everyone likes where this is going. I'm trying my best to develop their feelings slowly and realistically. My writing is meant to mimic the complexity of the situation and leave out apparent emotions, leaving the situation open for interpretation. I know how each character truly feels, but I don't want to reveal that just yet.
