45-Looking Through Your Eyes

"Here in the night, I see the sun
Here in the dark, our two hearts are one
Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun
And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes"
Looking Through Your Eyes- Camelot

"I don't want to do this."

Jimin said, staring hard at the ground. Suit jacket pulled off, white cuffs pulled up to his elbows. Hair sprouting like moonlit grass form beneath the confines of his tensed fingers.

Hoseok stood in front of him, arms crossed and eyes sullen. Wondering why the hell they had to have this conversation in the city hall bathroom.

It quickly became apparent as Jimin unraveled, following in the footsteps of a full blown panic attack.

It had been okay, this morning.

The older friend picked up Jimin at 9:00 am, like he was asked. The man looked a little unsettled, but nothing too serious. Hoseok kept a close eye on him in the front seat, making sure he was okay as they talked causally.

The younger seemed fine. Hair finally dyed silver again, and cut sharp. Skin nice and clear, eyes and lips bright. A dark black suit on, tailored to perfection. Shiny rings littering his fingers. Only a little quiet, but that was expected.

He looked good. Innocent, yet strong. He looked like the CEO everyone obsessed over. The kind business man who never had a scandal. Never made a fuss.

Till now.

Park Jimin, would have to do one of the hardest things ever today. They were both aware of it.

And yet, it didn't hit the younger man. Not until Hoseok pulled up to the large, and ornate city hall. Where a sea of people crowded around the car. News reporters, journalists, and citizens.

"It's okay Jimin. You're fine. Don't pay attention to them." Hoseok said, eyes glancing worriedly at his friend.

"I'm not." The younger man replied quietly. Compliantly.

Jimin looked, grim and wide eyed out the window. The appearance of a young man, but the disposition of a child in horror. Hoseok watched, as his small face turned to look at all the people. Seeing it grow more and more down trodden with each passing seconds

Hoseok watched, as Jimin's eyes finally flickered away from the window.

Not knowing that his younger friend saw a sign saying:

"PARK JIMIN DID IT."

Not knowing his friend still felt partly responsible as well, for not taking Jeongguk's keys away. For not noticing the man was drunk.

For not telling Celine immediately that it wasn't him, but instead the man she had been dating for over a year.

The car ride became even more eerily silent, the orange haired man pulling around to the side of the building. Jimin just stared straight ahead, as the elder parked the car.

"It's time."

The younger nodded, eyes blank as he slowly got out of the car.

They walked inside, ignoring the yells with the help of body guards. The pair only walked a few steps before Jimin stopped walking. Hoseok turned to him, ready to ask why before the man sped off.

Hoseok immediately ran faster, heart pounding as Jimin ran. The elder was afraid he was trying to escape, confused when the silver haired man ran to the bathroom. Quickly following after, Hoseok caught the man diving into one of the stalls.

Hoseok stood silently, trying to catch his breath.

The sounds of Jimin getting sick, echoing around the beautifully tiled room. The coughing and spitting sending Hoseok's chest into a broken frenzy.

In that moment, Hoseok knew Park Jimin was not okay.

But the younger needed space. And time. For pretending was not helping him. This situation would be hard for everyone. And Hoseok knew it. It was expected that Jimin would crash and burn.

He was only human.

So they were left, alone. The silver haired man stumbling out of the stall, and onto a chair that happened to be in the corner. Chest rising up and down, as he caught his breath.

Instead of going to the waiting room, the pair remained inside. Jimin refused to leave the bathroom, looking traumatized. Eyes glassy and narrowed from trying not to cry. Cheeks flushed. Expression hopeless.

"I know, but you have to." Hoseok responded with a sigh. Wanting to comfort the younger man, but knowing his touch would only set him off.

Jimin was a ticking time bomb.

It was all an act this morning. The nice outfit. The well put together expression. The calm demeanor. It was all held together by glue and paper. Which instantly fell apart as Jimin slowly dreaded his impending interview.

"Hoseok, I haven't seen him since..." The man said, his voice sounding scratchy as he looked towards the elder for guidance.

"Since you hulk smashed him to the ground? Yeah I know, I was there." The usually bright man dead panned.

Jimin shook his head, ink like eye lashes fanning across his cheeks. Looking so lost and alone.

"I don't even want to see him. What he did to the Kim's. What he tried to do to me. I don't even want to be in the same room."

His veined hands started to shake. Falling away from his hair, and landing open palmed on his lap.

Hoseok moved away from the sink, finally bending down in front of his friend. Making sure their dark eyes met, and Jimin listened to every word.

"It's going to be hard, to see him right there. So close when you have all this anger built up. But trust me, it will get better after this." The orange haired man choked out, finding it hard to speak as Jimin trembled before him.

The younger shook his head, an unamused smile painting his large lips. Like he already knew the outcome.

"None of you get it."

"And what is it that I don't get?" Hoseok asked, sending a pointed look at the younger.

"We aren't dealing with normal people Hoseok. Jeongguk's family isn't normal. You heard him tell the story with everyone else. His family paid the Kim's to stay quiet, and to kick Celine out. Used me for his innocence. And they got away with it, while working with the law. There's no justice in regards to that family. They will do anything to get what they want. And I'll have to see Jeongguk's smug face as everyone bows down around him for drunk driving and killing...her."

It was certainty, that he saw in Jimin's dark and harrowing eyes. Fear and unwavering certainty that his life would be ruined again because of this. Jimin gripped onto Hoseok, holding on for dear life as his face fell.

Hoseok wished that it wasn't true.

"But things are different now. It's not just you facing them alone. You have a whole other family backing you. If you look online, more people believe your side. Most likely this will tarnish his reputation anyways." The elder countered, urging his friend to see the other side. To not lose hope yet.

But it was hard to rekindle a flame that had already been burnt out many times before.

"I'm going to lose. Everyone and everything." Jimin said, tender eyes brimming with tears. The man moved his arms around his waist, as if to physically hold himself together.

He fell back harshly, neck strained and looking up at the ornate ceiling. Trying to get stuck in the patterns and swirls so that he could forget everything else.

Hoseok shook his head, knowing that he couldn't give up as well. Jimin had been going through shit for months. Loving someone, who he wasn't sure loved him back. Knowing that if Jeongguk found out, it would break him. Knowing that everything was going to go up in flames soon enough. But Hoseok needed to have strength for his friend. Jimin would do the same for him.

"No, you'll still have us. You'll still have Celine."

Jimin looked at him again, eyes telling a different story. He leaned forward, eyebrows furrowed in disappointment.

"I don't think I'd ever be able to look at her again, if Jeongguk walks away free."

It was silent, as the two friends stared at each other. One speechless, one wanting to say everything.

Hoseok knew, that Jimin judged himself more harshly than anyone else. That if he fucked up, there was no amount of talking him out of guilt. He was like that. He would beat himself down until he felt like he punished himself enough.

But Hoseok could tell, even with the anger and sadness in his friend's eyes, that he was worrying about something else.

"That's not what you're upset about is it?" The elder said, breaking the silence as he smiled sadly up at Jimin.

The man looked at him confused, silver head cocked to the side.

"What do you mean? Of course I am Hoseok."

"You still don't want to hurt someone you saw as your little brother, no matter how much he hurt everyone else." The orange haired man said aloud, softly. Only a whisper in the echoing room.

Jimin's face hardened to that of stone. Much harsher than the elder had ever seen him. Lips pressed tight together, fists clenched. Eyes raging as he spoke in with conviction.

"No, I hate him. I hate him for treating me like shit for years. I hate him for lying and ruining everything. He's disgusting, and I wish I never met him."

Hoseok gave him a knowing look. One that reminded the other of years of friendship. Of memories that would always be cherished. He knew the younger didn't have a hateful bone in his body. No matter what.

The boy loved all of his friends with every fiber of his being.

"Jimin."

The younger's face grew dark, his eyes burning with heat.

"I do, I hate him!" The CEO yelled out, startling Hoseok. Who had never experienced Jimin raising his voice at him.

The angry man looked away, crossing his arms. Hoseok remained quiet, not knowing what to say as he watched him.

It remained silent until Jimin bent his head down. Back still turned on the elder. Hands still clenched tightly. Hoseok knew that Jimin was crying when he watched the man's shoulders shake up and down as he tried to hold it in.

Hoseok got up, stepping closer. And finally wrapped his arms around the broken boy. His heart wept for him as he heard the tiny whimpers and cries coming from his beloved friend.

If only I could take the pain away from you, I would. If only I could bear a little of the weight on my shoulders, as well. I would.

"Maybe you do, and that's okay. But he doesn't hate you either. Or maybe, he's tired of hating you right now. Use that to your advantage." The taller man said, feeling his own tears well up. Hating how scared Jimin was, as he held onto him.

Jimin pulled away a little, facing his dear friend. Eyes pink, and pink cheeks stained with wetness.

"Why does it seem easier, to have everyone hate me. To have them all blame me, and not him?" The silver haired man asked, taking a deep breath.

Hoseok contemplated, looking directly into the younger's eyes. Seeing years of maturity and growth transpire in them.

The older man thought of Jimin. Thought of Jeongguk. Thought of Celine. Thought of Yoongi. His mom, his dad, and his sister. Thought of Taehyung. Thought of Jin. Thought of Namjoon.

And thought of Hani.

"Because love does crazy things to people." Hoseok sighed out, making sure that Jimin understood his every word.

******

Celine sat anxiously in the conference room, along with her other friends. They all sat in the second row, on fold out chairs. Behind twenty different media outlets that paid to be in there. The room was buzzing with excitement from the front of the room, with cameras and journalists.

Celine only felt dread. And the urge to vomit.

Today, was the only justice she'd ever get for her sister. She wanted everyone to know who did it. She wanted to make Mia visible to the world, for when she was alive, she was forgotten.

And Jimin, would finally be free. Finally get rid of the chains that held him down. Celine couldn't wait to see the relief on her love's face.

The girl watched anxiously, as the stage before them was empty of people. Just a long table, some microphones and two chairs. The Jeon's weren't seen anywhere yet. And apparently Jimin was still in the waiting room.

Jin sat right beside her, just as anxious. Biting on his nails as he stared at the stage. Looking around at the doors, where security and police officers watched the crowd. Taehyung sat to his left, looking just as solemn. Eyes blank as he stared at the ground. He only gave a small smile to Celine, as she quietly asked him if he was okay.

Yoongi kept bouncing his knee up and down to her right. She could basically feel his nerves, as he licked his lips and glanced around the room.

"Hey guys." A familiar voice said that startled them all out of their dazes.

Hoseok had just come back from talking with Jimin. He sat down next to Yoongi, Looking a little better than the rest of them. Though they were all dressed in formal attire, they all looked exhausted.

"How is he Hoseok?" She said, heart pounding with intensity.

The man smiled at her, bopping the top of her nose.

"He's fine. It's going to be okay."

Celine leaned back in her seat, white dress flowing out as she felt relief.

If he was okay, then I would be.

The girl looked around, to her left and right. At all the beautiful faces of her friends. Feeling her heart and eyes swell with affection, as she stared at each and every one of them.

All she wanted to do was run. All she wanted to do was cry and break down. But her friends gave her more strength than anything.

The other Kim's declined the offer to go. It hurt Celine when she found out. That they didn't care enough to go. That even now, they were abandoning her.

Like always, Celine was the only one left representing Mia from her family. But as she held hands with Jin and Yoongi, she knew that she wasn't alone at all.

The speakers in the room clicked on, alerting everyone. Jin lifted his head startled at the sound. Each friend taking a quick glance at each other in support.

It would all be over soon.

"We're ready to begin." The county sheriff said into the microphone, Celine cringing as it squeaked around the filled room.

The air was burning with electricity. Celine's gaze at the stage unwavering, her mind reeling and heart spinning. Feeling numb, throat dry as she waited.

Finally, Park Jimin walked on the stage.

Like a burst of light, a ray of light across the room. Silver hair smoothed out, dark eyes intense, and pink lips serious. Gray curling smoke amongst the cameras and people. He walked swiftly, and smoothly into the first chair at the table. Expression blank and unforgiving.

He looked good. The love she felt for him, reaching out beyond the distance between them. But Celine could sense the destruction that lay within him. She could feel it.

He's right there. So close.

Celine leaned forward in her seat, almost standing up. Trying to get him to look at her, to at least make eye contact. The only things keeping her anchored, were Jin and Yoongi. She wanted to run to him, to tell him everything was alright.

So that he wouldn't be alone.

To say she was sorry once again.

You can do this.

"God, he looks so small up there. So lonely. He didn't want to do this. He never wanted to speak out against Jeongguk he was afraid-" Jin said, lips downturned as he stopped mid sentence. Eyes flashing from the stage to Celine.

"Afraid? Of what?" The girl said, gripping onto Jin tighter. Immediately responding to the idea that Jimin wouldn't feel safe.

Maybe Celine wasn't the only one who received a threat.

The elder shook his head, eyes wide as he denied her worry. The man rubbed the top of her hand with his thumb, attempting to calm the girl down. He could see it in her face, and her body, that she was stressed beyond recognition.

"He'll tell you one day."

"Have you forgotten he doesn't want to talk to me right now?" The brunette said, feeling her voice crack. From the strain of the past couple months, her willpower had been slowly draining.

"Oh Celine, my lovely Celine. You know absolutely nothing, my turtle dove."

The girl had done everything she could possibly do, to right the wrongs in er life and others.

But when Jeongguk and his parents walked on the stage, the whole world seemed to darken. The stood off to the side, all dressed in black like the angels of death. Grim and proper, not a look of worry and doubt on their faces. But Celine couldn't see Jeongguk, too well, for his head was bowed.

Looking like Roman gods watching a gladiator fight in their honor.

A pit of hate burned in her stomach, made her cheeks go red.

Three murderers, all ready to execute the innocent.

Yoongi and Hoseok looked angry, as the family just stood there. Jin and Taehyung remained pensive, never looking away.

"I don't know what's going to happen Jin." The girl said, watching the scene almost like a play.

Jimin's manager came to sit beside him. The only direct support he had.

Jin sighed, eyes looking more uncertain than she'd ever seen them.

"Neither do I, Celine."

The pair turned to the front, not uttering another word. Not knowing if they could truly console one another at this time. The possibility of Jimin, and his innocence. The outstanding odds of the arrogant Jeon family.

Because Jimin was supposed to tell the truth. And then his business wouldn't be in danger. His name would get removed from the police records. Jeongguk would have a ruined repuatation, and more than likely suffer with business ventures.

It was all so simple.

Except Jimin's heart was larger than his pride. Than his love for money. Than anything.

Celine knew that.

And that's why she was scared. That's why her heart threatened to stop. That's why she could barely breath, as everyone waited in silence.

Everything was up in the air.

Waiting for what fate had to bring them.

Hopefully, wherever Mia was, she would smile down upon them.

Jimin looked around, camera flashes blinding him every two seconds. Making him feel dizzy and drunk, like he couldn't string a sentence together himself.

Like a movie, he was reeling through the scenes. Words stuck on a script he did not know.

He felt like he was the only moon in a sky of twinkling stars.

Wishing the a supernova would happen, and wash all the light away. All the people, who didn't know him, but had already made judgements. The people that didn't care about the death of a girl, but only the reputation of two rich boys.

Jimin was tired of trying to prove himself to people that didn't care about him.

The only people he cared about were right in front of him.

His heart soared, as he saw them, only in the second row. He couldn't help but smile a bit, as he felt the urge to cry out to them.

Eyes flicking across the faces of his five favorite people in the world.

Taehyung. Jin. Hoseok. Yoongi. All looking so worried, so sullen. Because of him.

Jimin let his eyes linger too long in Celine, who dressed in white looked like a dove. Her golden eyes flickered to him, wide and emotion filled and he felt his whole body freeze.

It was only for a second, that gold and silver intertwined. She smiled softly, thought Jimin could tell she had been crying all day and night.

The man quickly looked away, feeling his stomach fill with butterflies.

He glanced at Jeongguk, the man he had dreaded seeing. It felt like the first time, and the last. His little brother, and someone he had never seen.

It was everything the 21 year old had expected to see.

His mom's hand clasped around his shoulders, looking like a raven's claws as she dressed in all black. His father standing stoic to the side. Dark hair streaked with silver, and a smug smile on his face.

Yet Jeongguk, Jeongguk was nothing like Jimin prepared for.

It was the dark knight that Jimin envisioned. The happy look of glee that would be present in his eyes.

The man was pale, more-so than an icy winter morning. Red and blotchy The lustrous shine to his black hair gone. Lips turned down. His eyes looking like a broken China vase, as they remained on the ground at his feet. The arrogance that had had kept him tall and proud, had shrunken away. That pride, that selfishness that he could conquer the world was gone. A little boy again.

Like his soul had finally returned, and morality had wreaked havoc.

Jimin had not known it was an act. Not known that Jeongguk had spent the last week not eating and sleeping so he could look pitiful.

No, no one knew that.

"Please Park Jimin, give a statement pertaining to the happenings of August 12th. The day that Kim Mia was killed in a drunk driving car accident. The police report says your name, and you were released on bail. Yet, we were given information that the investigation was faulty. Tell us what happened that night." Spoke the sheriff, who held a mic and stood at the bottom of the stage.

Jimin could barely hear him over the rush of his own heartbeat. Throat tight, and bile seeping into his stomach. The man looked around, feeling blacked out and breathless.

His eyes finally rested, on the flightless bird. The one with the broken wings, and black drenched essence.

Jeongguk looked at him, shaking his head. A single tear falling down his face. His lips trembling as he mouthed the word brother.

The elder man slammed his hands down on the table, startling everyone.

"I can't do this." Jimin said, voice shaking as he spoke into the mic. Feeling so loud, but quiet to the rest of the world.

An audible gasp rose up among the crowd. Jimin refused to look at his friends. At Celine. He didn't want to see the look of horror on their faces.

I can't do it. I can't condemn him in front of everyone.

But I know who can.

Jimin thought of Hoseok's words.

"He doesn't hate you either. Use that to your advantage."

The Jeongguk that had stepped on the stage was the haughty man he expected. The one that thought of his trust fund while standing next to his smiling parents.

He was broken.

And Jimin knew only one thing could fix him. Redemption. Not for anyone here.

Jimin knew that he would never forgive him. Not after everything.

It was silent for a few minutes, as everyone waited. Expecting Jimin to admit his fault. Mrs. Jeon smiled proudly, squeezing her shoulders son in victory.

Until Jimin turned his gaze to him for truly the first time in a while. Forgiveness and love so easily painted in them, it could be a portrait. It was easy to pretend, when everything was on the line. And Jimin had no guilt, not after how much Jeongguk had used his own sadness to manipulate Celine. Jimin's face begging and pleading, as his eyes started to fill with tears as well.

For once, please do what is right. For you, and for me. Do it.

"Jeongguk, you should tell them what happened."

Mr. Jeon laughed out loud, placing his hands in his suit jacket.

"This isn't his crime to admit Park, just plead guilty now and get this over with."

Jimin ignored him, only looking at his son.

The man stood their, unmoving. Never faltering from the elders gaze. Looking extremely conflicted.

Jimin swallowed loudly, heart erratic. Afraid that he would let everyone down. That he would let Celine down.

But he had to try.

"Please Jeongguk. If our friendship ever meant anything to you, please say it. Because I can't. I can't." He spoke softly, watching as it unhinged the boy.

Jeongguk flinched back, lower lip shaking. His eyes burning into his old friends. The tears falling freely as April showers onto his face. His mothers grip on his shoulder now feeling like a vice instead of comfort.

He looked at his mother, words pouring out like melted honey. Eyes like broken shards of onyx.

It only took her a second to realize, what he was about to do.

"I'm sorry Mom."

(A/n: idk how to make this more clear, sorry if it's not. He's doing this so his parents get the brunt of the trouble so he can look "good" in front of his friends and Celine and the rest of the press. To make his parents the only villain.)

The younger male walked forward, and out of his mother's grasp.

The victory that had seemed so certain, all fell away as her son walked forward. All the years she had protected him, wasted as he got closer and closer to the mic.

She walked forward, heels clicking dangerously against the ground. Her husband standing back in shock, his fist hitting the wall. Quickly security had grabbed him, taking him to the back of the room.

"No Jeongguk! Get back over here right this instant." The woman yelled out, grabbing onto his arm again. Feeling as if the world was crumbling around her, as panic enveloped every part of her body.

This was the fear that you felt, when losing a child.

You're going to ruin everything. You're going to damage our empire. Our legacy. Your future.

Jeongguk smiled at her, holding onto her hand, before gently pulling her off. He quickly turned his back, motioning for security guards to get her off the stage.

When his mother and father went down, he wouldn't be going with them.

Jeongguk would make sure he stayed afloat the chaos.

Just like they had taught him.

Save yourself, no one else.

The woman was screaming and crying, as she was carried off. Yelling threats to everyone involved. Yet no one listened, as they avoided her control.

To everyone else she looked like a concerned mother for her child. But Jeongguk had to refrain from laughing out loud. His mother knew exactly what he was doing.

She was mad he would be getting away with most of it, and they wouldn't perish together.

Jeongguk walked to the mic, right next to Jimin. Looking stronger than he had a couple minutes before. Eyes wide and apologetic, as he stared at his old friend.

They nodded at each other, before the younger started to speak.

He was going to do it.

In front of all these people.

In front of the country.

In front of the world.

His business would suffer. His family would be punished by the media. They would lose out on money for a while.

But he would be free.

"I did it. I killed Kim Mia. It was me. My parents were trying to look out for me. That's all they were trying to do, and I'm grateful for that. But I'm a coward. I'm a coward for letting Jimin take the blame for me, because everyone thought I was too young. Well you know what I wasn't too young for? Drinking and driving. I wasn't too young to steal my parents car and drive around the city under the influence. And I wasn't too young to smash into that vehicle and crash into..."

The man paused, unable to say the name. His body convulsed, as he felt disgust for himself take over. He looked down, head towards the table.

Jeongguk then felt a hand on his back, a strong touch. He looked to the side, to see it was Jimin.

Jimin nodded his head, urging him to continue.

He took another shaky breath, before continuing the truth.

"Or maybe I was too young. But I'm older now. And I'm ready to take the blame."

He paused again, turning completely to Jimin. Forgetting about the cameras and the phones and everything else in the room.

Getting rid of all of the hate between them. For the cameras.

"Jimin, you're my best friend. And all these years I've taken out my guilt on you. You were so selfless, so courageous, and you let your name be soiled because you loved me. I was jealous, because I knew in all my years I would never be as great as you. I tried to push you away because I wanted you to hate me for it. You never did. You never gave up on me. You are the best of me. And I'm so sorry. You don't have to forgive me. I don't forgive myself."

And more importantly, I can't win. So I'm letting it go. I'm letting you and that bitch go.

The elder smiled at him, finally breaking down.

Jeongguk turned to the crowd, his heart beating with adrenaline as he found her face.

And the final part of his very successful act commenced.

"And Celine. There's no amount of words for just how sorry I am to you. To Mia. I'm sorry I can't do this, I need to leave right now."

The man stuttered, the mic suddenly dropping from his hands. He strangely paled, as the whole audience stared at him in shock. The man quickly ripped himself from Jimin, as he ran out of the city hall conference room.

Celine watched, in utter amazement and confusion.

"Someone needs to find him." Celine said out loud, her own voice sounding foreign.

Jeongguk was not okay, to her knowledge. And she was worried in that moment, that he would do something to hurt himself. Jin, Yoongi, and Hoseok remained silent, still in shock of how everything transpired.

No it wasn't enough to forgive him. She just hoped he wouldn't hurt himself in the process.

"Don't worry I've got him." Taehyung said, running up out of his seat to quickly run after the man.

Celine looked up at the stage, to see Jimin standing up. Smiling as he stared up at the ceiling. Hands out to the side in a relieved gesture. His beautiful smile crinkling his eyes into small lines.

The girl covered her mouth, tears entering her eyes as well as she stared up at him.

He's finally happy.

And that's enough for Celine.

From the corner of the room, stood a purple haired man, pretending to be a journalist.

Kim Namjoon looked on, shocked at how everything went down.

The man smiled, dimples engraved in the tan skin of his cheeks.

It all worked out in the end.

Namjoon removed his hand from his pocket.

And walked up to the stage.

Finger rested lightly on the trigger.

Jimin looked shocked, his eyes wide as Namjoon stood beside him with a gun. Everyone in the audience still buzzing, not paying attention to what was happening.

"Namjoon?" Jimin said, his voice soft and raspy as the tall man stood next to him. His eyes flickering to the cold piece of metal.

"He's got a fucking gun!" Yelled Yoongi, standing up.

Hoseok standing as well, trying to get around people so that he could get up to the stage.

Celine gasped, blood draining from her face. Watching as silver metal lifted into the air.

She saw the fear in Jimin's eyes.

No.

No.

She let out a scream, trying to push past the people that ran around her in a frenzy. Her voice louder than anything in the room.

The man lifted the gun, pointing it at his target.

And fired.

The whole room quieted at the sound.

Jimin's eyes wide, a hand on his chest.

Namjoon looked forward face serious as he lowered the gun.

"I like you too much to kill you, Park Jimin."

The man stayed silent, as Kim Namjoon walked to pick up a mic.

The whole room stared on, at this unknown man as he spoke. In fear and trepidation as he held onto the gun he fired at the ceiling.

"Mrs. Jeon paid me to assassinate this man right here, before he told the truth. But I couldn't. I just-" The man choked on his words, nervously swallowing as he was overwhelmed with emotion.

Looking right into the eyes of Kim Seokjin.

Celine's body boiled with anger, her nails digging into the skin of her palm.

That woman, took away her sister.

And she almost tried to take away Jimin.

Celine was different now. She was stronger. And she would never let Mrs. Jeon get away with it.

There would be hell to fucking pay.

Celine gasped, hitting her friend. Tears streaming down her face. Lips bloody from being bitten, face pale from fear.

"He admitted to almost killing Jimin!"

"But he didn't!"  Jin said, never looking away from the dimpled man.

Jimin walked forward, giving the taller man a hug. Before security and the police all rushed to the stage to arrest the man. Namjoon complied easily, dropping the gun and letting them take him away.

Jin pushes past his friends, following the purple haired man out of the room.

"Hey, I'm the only one who's allowed to put him in handcuffs!" He spoke back to his friends, before quickly attempting to talk to police.

Yoongi stayed with Celine, while Hoseok decided to go with Jin. The blonde haired man holding onto Celine and hugging her for dear life. She hugged him as well, thankful to god that everyone remained safe.

So happy to have him and everyone else in her lives.

But everything slowly melted away, as Celine looked before her.

Park Jimin, stood directly in front of her. Unmoving. Like a white lily in a field of yellow daises.

Hair a mess, eyes red from crying, body exhausted from the threat of his life. But he'd never looked more beautiful.

Jimin stared from the stage, not afraid anymore. As chaos erupted around them. Everyone screaming and yelling.

It didn't matter.

He was alive. And well. And acknowledging her.

Jimin's dark eyes sparkling, staring down. Pink lips wide open with unspoken words. I love yous written in the air between them.

It was in this moment, they realized nothing else mattered. That they should spend very day together, instead of everyday apart for silly little reasons. Any day could be their last, and they would forever promise to be together until that happened.

He smiled at her.

She smiled back.

And she knew that everything would be okay.
