"He makes me feel so good
That man of mine
Though half of the time he makes me laugh, the other half he makes me cry
But every time we make good love
All the bad seems to go away
And I always give him something he can feel 'cause I got nothing, if I can't make him stay"

It was a Summer day like no other.
The sky as blue as a robin's egg. Clouds drifting slowly across it like happy dandelion weeds. The air dense and filled with a sweltering heat. The buttery rays of sun, beautiful but unforgiving.
Everyone was gathered at Jin's house for a pool party. Hoseok even invited the girl from his dance studio who he was interested in. Taehyung and Jimin would come later, for they had a photography event to go to.
To say the girl was anxiously waiting for his arrival was an understatement.
Celine sat on a chair, tanning next to Jin. They decided to wear matching all white bathing suits. Jin wore trunks, while the young girl wore a bikini. They looked like white suburban moms, with their Gucci sunglasses and recliners.
"Ahhh, isn't this just paradise?" Jin sighed out, taking a sip of his martini glass. He struggled a bit, the miniature umbrella poking up his nose.
Celine stifled a giggle, feeding in to Jin's lazy bliss. The girl wasn't going to lie. She loved his pool the best because he had a waterfall and a little ledge to sit on.
"You're the best host in all of Seoul."
He let out a single laugh, scoffing at her misinterpretation of his majesty. He moved down his sunglasses to the top of his nose, sending the girl a wink.
"More like the baddest bitch."
"You forgot about me." Celine said, whining about the fact he always gave himself the title.
The sun kissed brunette nodded his head, reminding himself that they were indeed both baddies. That's why they got along so well. Celine was almost as pretty as him, with her white bathing suit, tan skin, and red drink in her gentle hand.
Almost.
"My bad. Co baddest bitch in the city." The man reluctantly corrected.
They both laughed together, bitchy laughs too. The type you only hear in cliché high school movies. But the pair were always for the dramatics.
"Incoming!" Jeongguk yelled, hopping into the pool close to the pair. A huge swell of water hit the sun tanning couple.
Celine didn't mind, for it cooled off her hot body.
It felt like chopped ice across her skin. Jin didn't seem to pleased, considering the fact his Gucci sunglasses were now lopsided.
She moreso minded that Jeongguk was there at all. Again, hit with a pang of guilt that she wanted him gone and whisked away from his own friend group.
"Don't splash-"
Before he could even get out another word, Namjoon hopped in after Jeongguk, coating them again.
Celine laughed, as Jin sat back in utter defeat. Muttering something along the lines of "childish hooligans".
"So much for paradise." The eldest said, downing the rest of his martini glass in one swoop.
Celine joined the other two in the pool, cooling off while waiting for Hoseok to arrive. The girl was extremely excited to see he finally mustered up the courage to ask his crush to hang out. She wondered if she'd be bright and bubbly like him, or reserved and subdued.
Though her thoughts were interrupted while she continuously got splashed by her boyfriend, and her best friend's boyfriend.
"Can you guys not be children and splash me?" She said, scowling at them as she walked closer to the deeper end.
Namjoon smirked, his dimple on full display in a mischievous manner. Jeongguk wasn't even paying attention to her words, but at the cleavage her bikini showed.
"Sure, we won't bother you." Said the taller man, his jaw sticking out happily.
Jeongguk just licked his lips, nodding his head without saying anything.
"Alright, whatever."
She knew Namjoon probably was planning something, but that wasn't really the problem. It was the uncomfortable feeling of being visually devoured by a person she'd already been intimate with. It felt so strange at this point, to feel so violated by his gaze or touch.
So she tried to avoid it. The girl went to the edge of the pool, pulling over a large floaty. It was a huge pink swan, with a hole in the center so she could lay across it.
She reached the surface, gasping for air to find Namjoon and Jeongguk high-fiving and laughing. But she couldn't really find it within herself to get mad. But she did decided it was time to get out of the pool.
"You guys majorly suck." She said, walking up the steps and looking at the two ridiculous men.
Not paying attention to the person right in front of her, who's chest she accidentally smacked into. She leaned back rubbing her head, looking up to see Hoseok staring at her wide eyes.
Behind him was a pretty girl, with short dark brown hair and bangs. Her eyes were really pretty and big, and she had lips like a celebrity. She was wearing a cute blue bikini top with a bow, and a pair of high waisted shorts as a cover up. Yet she also had the same shocked expression on her face.
"Um, hi Celine." Said the orange haired man. He was wearing yellow swim trunks, and a striped white and red shirt. He looked like a hot version of Ronald McDonald.
"Hoseok." Celine said curtly, now kind of feeling awkward.
"So guys, this is Hani." He said, gesturing back at the girl.
Celine realized that Jin, Namjoon, and Jeongguk made their way over.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." The girl said, her voice cute and peppy. She seemed like a bright person, but shy at first.
Someone that Celine could really get along with. It also helped that Hoseok couldn't stop smiling at her.
"It's nice to meet you too." The long haired brunette said back. Everyone else greeted her as well, being as nice as possible.
Even Jin was on his best behavior.
"You dance with Hoseok right?" Celine asked, pulling Hani to the side as Hoseok caught up with the other boys.
"Yeah, he's a great teacher." She said, pushing her short hair behind her ear. Automatically, the 18 year old could see the sparkle in the girl's eyes when his name was mentioned.
"I bet." The brunette said suggestively, winking at the girl.
She blushed, bursting out in a fit of giggles at Celine's brazen comment.
"I think we'll get along great." Hani said, warming up just a little to the girl.
Celine smiled widely back, happy at prospect that she wouldn't be the only girl in the friend group anymore.
"Celine, I heard that." Hoseok said, coming up beside Hani with a half amused, half embarrassed expression.
Celine gave the girl a knowing look, ignoring her male friend's disapproval.
"Love you." The satirical girl said, blowing a kiss at him.
"Whatever, you perv. I'm taking her away from your bad influence." He pulled Hani into his arms, making a disgusted face as he moved her away from Celine.
"Oh come on."
"I'm just kidding. I actually do have to introduce her to Yoongi though."
The girl nodded her head, gesturing for the couple to go. Yoongi sat up on the patio, watching everyone else. He didn't even come down when Hoseok first came in. Celine only greeted him within the first five minutes, which was strange because they always ended up talking the most. Besides her and Jin, or her and Jimin.
The girl figured she'd find out why.
She walked back to Jin, who had cleaned up his tanning spot. He fixed his glasses, and even made himself a whole new martini. From this angle, it was definitely obvious that the broad shouldered man was a model.
"Jin?"
"Yes princess buttercup?"
Celine rolled her eyes at the nickname, and continued to speak.
"Why is Yoongi so far away from the pool?"
"He can't swim." The man replied back, almost too nonchalantly. He immediately sipped his drink after, alerting her to the fact he was trying to cover something up.
"Did he never learn?" The mahogany haired girl asked, pushing for an answer.
Jin sighed, putting down his drink. He gestured for Celine to sit down on the chair next to him. She hurriedly complied, not wanting to miss the opportunity. He mouthed that they had to be quiet, looking around to make sure none of the others were paying attention.
"Something bad happened Celine."
It was words that she expected, but words that she had not actually wanted to hear.
"What?" She asked, genuinely shocked and concerned.
The edgy man was the kind of person who seem unbothered by anything. Like the world was fully in his grasp. But it was often those people, who had suffered the most.
Jin lowered his voice, a grave expression taking over.
"Let's just say Yoongi's father wasn't a nice man. He abused alcohol, and often abused Mrs. Min as well. He got really angry one time when Yoongi was practically a baby, filled up a bathtub and-"
His words stopped suddenly, unable to finish the sentence. But from that much, it could be inferred.
That when one of her best friends was a kid, his own father tried to drown him.
"Oh my god." She said out loud, her own voice sounding foreign. How could anyone be that evil?
How could anyone harm their own child like that?
It amazed her that Yoongi grew up so amazing. So strong. So brave and resilient. For most people, that kind of situation could have changed the course of their entire life for the worse.
But no.
Yoongi became an entrepreneur. He owns several businesses. His own music production company. Yes, he had told Celine he had ups and downs with depression, but he always fought through it.
The man was gentle. Savage only with words, but never with violence. Kind in the sense he was always honest, and gave tough love to everyone he knew. Even though he was closed off sometimes, his caring nature for others was always at the surface.
"Yeah. So he's kind of afraid of water." Jin finished simply, his index finger and thumb pressing onto the bridge of his nose.
Poor, poor Yoongi.
Celine tried not to imagine a little version of him. With the same catlike eyes and little lips. With natural black haired and not dyed. Tried not to imagine a scared face and an older man holding him down.
But it was hard. And it hurt her.
"Jesus Christ . Are his mom and dad still together?"
Jin nodded his head, an angry shock filling the girl.
His mother didn't leave him. The man who almost killed her child.
"Sadly yes. He's tried to get his mother to leave so many times. But she's refused. All because she loves him."
"How could she?"
With a kid involved. Celine knew she was in a messed up situation, but a child is where she drew the line.
She believed in her own suffering, but not in the life of an innocent she would create.
"No one knows. Yoongi's pissed about it though. He's afraid one day his dad will hit her too hard, and you know. More than injure her. It's why he's so skeptical. Why I've never seen him with someone. He's afraid to be brainwashed by love the way his mother had."
It was another reason why Yoongi didn't like Jeongguk. He didn't like that everyone blamed the younger boy's parents for how he turned out. He thought that was a sad excuse for a bad personality.
Because the blonde haired boy, did not follow the naivety of his mother. The horridness of his father.
The man became a person that he was proud of, because he chose to. There was right and wrong. There was independence. It could have been so easy for the man to get into drugs. To turn abusive as well. To give up on life.
But he didn't.
What was Jeongguk's excuse? What could it possibly be?
And what was Jin supposed to do, tell Yoongi he was wrong? Because he couldn't. There was an absolute truth the boy's words that couldn't be denied.
"I would have never known. I want to help him."
"Don't worry about it. Min Yoongi is one tough guy."
The blonde man caught their stare, bored face immediately changing to a bright one. Celine waved, and he happily waved back. Her heart sprouted with warmth at the kind hearted look he gave the pair. Jin motioned for him to come over to them, and the man looked hesitant for a second.
He stood up, and Celine's heart broke as she realized he was assessing the best way to get over without getting to close to the pool. Finally
It happened so quick.
One minute, the man was standing in front of them.
The next, Jeongguk wrapped his arms around him, throwing himself and Yoongi into the pool.
Jin and Celine gasped in shock, quickly getting off the chairs. They watched as the dark haired man pushed the other man down, his pale hands reaching out of the water in fear.
Oh my god.
Is he trying to kill him?
Namjoon jumped in immediately after, quickly swimming over to the two struggling man.
"Jin, does Jeongguk know about Yoongi?"
"Yes, yes he fucking does. I'm going to fucking hurt him I swear to god!"
Hoseok walked over, putting a calming hand on Jin's shoulder. He didn't want another dangerous fight to break out.
Hani watched from the side, a scared and unknowing blush washing across her cheeks.
They watched as Namjoon struggled to stop Jeongguk.
"Let him go!" The purple haired man yelled out, putting the younger male in a haphazard choke hold.
The youngest man laughed loudly, sending a cold and morbid chill up every person's spine. For they had just realized what he was actually capable of. The friend they had always made excuses for, had finally gone way too far.
"Okay, chill." Jeongguk said, shoving a jolting Yoongi over to him.
Celine watched, as Yoongi treaded chaotically over to Namjoon, who quickly took the man into his arms. The blonde man cried as Namjoon held onto him. His eyes were closed, just the fact that he was in water was enough to make him panic. He was grasping onto the tall man like he was a life boat. The purple haired man tried to calm him down, soothe him as he drifted slowly, trying to get to the ledge of the pool.
Yoongi continued to scream.
He was traumatized.
She'd never heard a grown man yelp like that. Like a frightened little child. It was the most heart wrenching thing she had ever seen.
She was horrified. Fucking horrified into a deep, paralyzed shock.
As soon as he was lifted out of the water, Celine ran over. A sputtering Yoongi was left on the cement, coughing up water and rubbing his red eyes in shock. Like he couldn't believe he was still alive and on the ground. The girl smoothed the wet hair away from his eyes, rubbing his back and reassuring him that he was safe. He just kept staring forward, not saying a word. Face flushed from everyone watching him freak out like that.
"What the fuck Jeongguk!?" Yelled Jin, getting into the man's face, even pushing the younger man. He just laughed in return.
Namjoon shook his head, face filled with rage. Celine had never seen such a look on the calm man's face.
"You almost killed him!"
The dark haired man smiled, walking away from his friends. Celine tried to pull Yoongi closer to her as her boyfriend approached, but he pulled away from her and stood up. She quickly stood up along side of him, wanting to be there to protect him.
Placing herself slightly in front of Yoongi.
She was fucking scared of Jeongguk. But she loved her friends more fiercely than the own cowardice that ran through her veins.
"What do you mean? We were just having a little fun, he's fine. Aren't you Yoongi?" Jeongguk asked, lifting his eyebrow at the older man.
The two men exchanged looks, one triumphant, the other fearful.
Celine never felt so disgusted looking at him. He'd finally done it. He had finally made her hate him. It was in this moment that she didn't give a fuck about anything anymore.
She was leaving him. And soon. She couldn't deal with his destructive nature anymore. He wasn't the person she once knew. The one who would never place his friends in harms way.
I want to hurt him. I want to hurt him.
"Do you enjoy it Jeongguk?" Celine asked, voice underlined with seething anger.
His gaze flicked to her, icy arrogance turning fiery. Surprised she dared to defy him in front of everyone.
"Enjoying a little prank? How could I not?"
It was silent. Like a string pulled taut, on the brink of snapping as everyone was silent around them.
Celine laughed darkly, "No, Jeongguk. Do you enjoy the fact that the only reason why you are still even invited around your friends is because they pity you? I don't know what more embarrassing at this point. You overstaying your welcome or the fact you almost killed someone and it doesn't phase you. Look at your fucking friend and tell me you don't feel the slightest bit guilty. Do it, show everyone the absolute monster you are because mommy and daddy pay for you to be."
Celine walked forward a few more steps, relishing in the absolute shock in the man's eyes. The only emotion that could be found in their dark depths.
And then the anger.
The anger that had kept her at bay when they were alone.
But Yoongi stopped her from meeting the man, seeing the way Jeongguk's fist balled up. The way his chest swelled and his jaw set. Worried Celine would meet the end of his rage.
The blonde haired man placed a hand on her wrist. She whipped her head around angrily, questioning why he stopped her. The older man just shook his head, sending the fiery girl a small smile. He didn't want her to do something she would regret just to help him. He didn't deserve it.
Yoongi looked to Jeongguk, and for a second there was burning hatred. But it soon fizzled out, leaving trails of bitterness behind.
"Yeah, I'm fine." The man said, face emotionless. His tiny lips were colored a cold blue, his face hinted with almost a greenish tinge.
He looked at all of his friends. Hoseok, Jin, and Namjoon all reflecting different emotions. The first was sadness, the next was reluctant anger, and the last was defeat. It was obvious that Yoongi didn't want them to be mad. He wanted everyone to believe that he was okay.
Because Jeongguk had won anyways.
He sent the dark haired man a smile.
And then turned and left.
Jin and the rest of them turned on Jeongguk, all taking turns yelling at him. Hani stood off to the side, looking awkward. Celine barely paid attention, for she ran after the friend who was always there for her. She wasn't about to let him leave like that. The pale man almost made it out the front door before she got to him.
"Yoongi." She said, wet feet slapping against the marble as she stopped.
He paused, hearing her soft voice call out to him. His long fingers frozen on the doorknob as she called out to him.
The man slowly turned around, looking at her with sad eyes.
"I'm leaving. I'm sorry Celine. I'm sorry I can't protect you from an asshole like him."
She shook her head, feeling thankful that she had a friend like him. Yet felt sad that he felt like he had an obligation to help her out of every situation. She wanted to tell him that in a couple weeks, he wouldn't have to worry. But right now, she wanted him to worry about himself.
"You don't have to. I'm fine on my own. Go home and rest."
The fragile man nodded, and he looked so small. She wanted to wrap him in a blanket and give him a warm drink, but knew that wouldn't help. He liked doing things by himself.
And she'd have to reluctantly let him go.
"Okay. Just promise me one thing?" He said, a serious look in his eye as he stared back at his friend.
"Of course." She said, urgently nodding her head. Listening to every word.
His dark eyes flashed dangerously, flitting around as if to make sure they were alone. He leaned forward, whispering to the girl.
"Don't believe everything you're told."
Before she could even ask what that meant, he was out the door.
The words swirled around her mind, sounding significant but holding no meaning to her. He looked serious when he said it, he looked scared. The girl would never forget the expression.
Or the advice that he thought was so important to tell her.
She was jolted out of her thought when the front door opened.
"Hey guys." She said casually, greeting Taehyung and Jimin as they walked in.
Her heart ignited as Jimin sent her a beautiful smile. She really needed his comforting presence after that whole ordeal.
She went over, hugging Taehyung first. The man enveloped her in his inviting arms and lifted her up. She giggled, liking that his good mood was back.
She looked at Jimin, who pouted and gave him a hug of his own. She held on for a little longer, Jimin grasping onto her a lot tighter. His lips rested into the crook of her neck as the man nuzzled into her.
Taehyung awkwardly backed away, taking his pool noodle and going outside to meet the rest of the friend group.
"Can we talk in private for a second?" Jimin asked, a little breathless and eyes shining. They had only seen each other a couple days ago, but it felt like a lifetime.
"Yeah, sure." The girl replied back, just as frazzled.
He grabbed onto her hand, locking their fingers together. He pulled them into Jin's nice living room. Nice because all the furniture was imported from Italy, and had a golden and warm red theme. It was actually Celine's favorite room in the house. The top of the ceiling was literally painted with half dressed angels, littering the sky with their divine glory.
He took her over to the red velvet couch, placing them both in the center. She looked at the bright way his eyes crinkled, and his pretty lips were curved in a smile, and debated whether she should tell him what happened. Slowly, the decision became clear that she would wait. The brunette knew Jin would tell the man later. The girl knew how explosive the man could get, and if he knew that Yoongi got hurt? The world would burn down.
Jimin's eyes flickered to her chest, and his cheeks burned. The girl questioned why he quickly looked back up at her eyes. Celine had forgotten that she was only wearing a bikini till this moment, and laughed at the bashful expression on the man's face.
"Your birthday's next week." He said, raspy and endearing voice cutting through his embarrassment.
Celine laughed, wondering why he was bringing it up at such a random moment. The bad connotations around her birthday dissappearing for only a second.
"Yes, it is. You want a gold star for remembering?"
The man laughed through his nose, leaning forward into her a bit. The apples of his cheeks continued to shine pink as she talked. The man uncharacteristically twisting his hands together in a nervous pattern.
"No, but I do want you to say yes."
"Say yes to what?"
The silver haired man went into his backpack that he was carrying and pulled out a piece of what seemed to be blank computer paper. He stared at it for second, and sighing.
Celine looked down, holding it gingerly in her hands.
Paris was scrawled across the top in English, the cursive written in black ink.
Underneath was a fairly drawn Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph, and the Seine River. The girl was first impressed by how well it was drawn, and almost audibly said the words awe aloud at the older man's cute drawings. The fact that he drew a card for her, knowing it was her favorite place. He was like a little kid, giving his parent a drawing and waiting for a good response. She was about to thank him when he spoke first.
"Will you come to Paris with me?"
It was silent, as she stared at the genetically perfect man with a blank stare. The request not fully computing in her brain. But then it hit her, everything all at once.
No fucking way. No fucking way Park Jimin.
"Are you serious?" She sputtered out, basically choking on the words.
It was the last place she had visited with Mia, right before her birthday. The last place her family had been all happy together. Paris, France meant the world to her.
Jimin smiled brightly, his eyes disappearing as he took her hands in hers.
"As serious as Yoongi whenever Jin makes a joke."
Celine basically hopped off the couch, wide smile spreading across her heart shaped face. Her throat felt tight, as happy tears pricked her eyes.
"Oh my god you're kidding me! This is so amazing! Thank you, thank you so much! I've been wanting to go back ever since I went the first time. I can't believe this right now. This is a dream come true!"
"It's nothing."
I would spend all the money and time in the world to see that smile never leave your face, Jimin thought to himself. But he didn't say it, as he watched the girl's eyes turn glassy. The words caught in her throat, but the happiness clearly painted on her face.
"Why Jimin? Why're you doing this?"
"I'm your sugar daddy." He said simply, like it was expected of him. Like it didn't take too much thought or care.
Though this time...
Celine didn't believe it.
She leaned forward, taking the man into her arms. His familiar and warm body fitting with hers. Letting the tears that had threatened to spill out finally come loose.
There was no way she'd ever be able to thank him enough. She was eternally grateful to the person who made her life better in every single way.
"And my best friend. Thank you Jimin."
********
Yoongi left Jin's, feeling his lungs and heart about to burst.
All he wanted to do was run back in there, and tell everyone. Punch the asshole in the face until he wasn't pretty anymore. Make it possible for Celine and Jimin to be happy.
That son of a bitch did that on purpose.
He was threatening him.
Jeongguk was making sure what he said earlier today, would make Yoongi stay quiet.
The blonde haired man really couldn't believe it.
He'd never been fond of the younger boy. Unlike everyone else, he wasn't dazzled by his charms. The older male didn't fully trust him with anything. Nevertheless, he still cared about the young boy. He was a friend.
But now?
He was sickened by him.
Earlier in the day, Yoongi overheard Jeongguk talking on the phone.
About Jimin and Celine.
About him causing a car crash.
About Celine having a sister, which Yoongi did not know about. Which a lot of people didn't know about.
For the girl was dead.
Dead because of Jeongguk.
But Jimin took the blame, and the man was going to use that to pull them apart.
And the worst part was, the younger man was talking loudly. Arrogant right in the middle of Jin's kitchen.
So Yoongi took matters into his own hands.
He walked up to the man, pulled at his phone, and threw it at the hard floor. The black IPhone shattered like a piece of pottery. The dark haired man looked at it, face blank. It wasn't the only phone he had.
Yoongi was breathing harshly, chest raising up and down. All the new information running rapid in his head. Disbelieving the even the spoiled man before him could be capable of something like that.
The man wouldn't let him hurt Jimin. The man had done so much for Jeongguk. And apparently, sacrificed his innocence for the younger man. The fact that Jeongguk was even willing to do wrong to his best friend like this, was beyond sadistic.
"You think you can get away with this?" The blonde haired man asked angrily, voice raising.
Jeongguk shrugged, looking unbothered.
"I always do."
"Well not this time."
"Yoongi, it's going to be ten times worse if you say something." Jeongguk said, eyes and voice darkening. But the older man wasn't scared. The young man was just trying to threaten him. He knew that he was fucking caught.
"Yeah, for you." He said, turning his back to go outside. He was going to tell Jin and Celine after the pool party had ended.
"No, for you. Watch your back. You never know when something bad will happen."
Yoongi laughed bitterly, knowing the boy wouldn't hurt him. And walked away.
The younger boy couldn't possibly hurt him.
But, now the man knew that wasn't true.
Jeongguk was willing to hurt him, in order to keep quiet.
That's why he was pushed into the pool.
And to tell the truth.
Min Yoongi was scared.

(A/N): So how does everyone like Yoongi's backstory?
I'm hoping that you can see the deeper connections within the plot. Every character has a PURPOSE.
Obviously you know....
Jimin (a pure character that everyone loves) Celine (a conflicted person that means good, but does bad things) /Jeongguk's purpose (a person so arrogant, that they cannot see the faults of their actions).
And Yoongi's as well now. He knows about what is happening before it's going to happen. But will he tell? Will he not? It's all a matter of choice. And what people will do in a time of danger.
Jin's? Well, his too because he is the kind of mediator of everything. He knows the right decision in every situation, but despite that no one really listens to him. He represents an almost divine understanding, like he's above everyone else. Not in a superior way, but in a way that shows he has more experience.
AND YET STILL NO ONE LISTENS
But what is...
Taehyung's?
Hoseok's?
Namjoon's?
You'll have to read and see. But leave theories, I'll be happy to read them :)
