Jealousy reeks
When I sat with Envian I always saw her glaring eyes fix upon me. She watched me like a hawk. I was pretty sure if she were to choose the representation of the family it would be a hawk. I never understood why she watched me not until later today.
The birds were chirping, deers were stirring, we were frosting cookies. Lilian had come home with some dough, new cookie cutters, frosting and sprinkles. I was still in my plaid style pajamas, but I didn't care. I was just excited to make cookies. I hadn't made cookies since my dad was with me.
I sounded like a little kid in a candy store that could have anything he wishes to have. Although I couldn't jump up and down because of my foot I still clapped my hands with joy.
Envian called me 'cute' I could feel that could hard glare that Jasper was giving me. I tried hard not to blush and just looked away. I knew he saw me, I knew he could Sense it. I could have sworn I heard Jasper scream in rage. I just thought I was hearing things.
Me and Lilian baked the dough, Jasper was reading her book named, "The lady who loved and man who cried." Envian was pinning Jason down on the rug. It looked like Jason was ready to pass out. Lilian decided to wash her hands and break them up.
I sprinkled the flour on the dough so it wouldn't stick. I rolled out the dough.
I walked over to the table where the cookie cutters were and grabbed a few. I put left some on the table. I cut the dough in half and put that one the table.
I had separated it because I refused to be anywhere near Jasper. Where ever she went I would back away. I couldn't bare to have my hair cut with kitchen scissors. In matter of fact Jasper was glaring at me snipping away at the split ends.
I had folded a little part of the dough over and with a Tooth pick I drew an E with a R beside of it and drew a heart around it. I folded it back over. I hoped I was the one that would get this cookie. Either way I could blame it on Jasper and they would listen.
Envian, Lilian, Jason and Jasper decided to follow, all came to the table. Jason started to grab a cookie cutter. Lilian swooped down onto his arm and forced it towards the sink.
"WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU CUT THE COOKIES!" Lilian bellowed.
Jason looked scared, Envian shook his head, Jasper grinned, and I hadn't realized the cold grim expression that was set upon my face.
"Sweetie, you okay?" I looked at her with a confused face.
"Yeah I'm fine."
Lilian walked over to the counter and started to cut out cookies. Envian and I walked to the counter with Lilian. I could feel the coolness of Jasper lingering behind me. I felt like she was ice and she was stinging at me. Slowly making me suffer. Slowly giving me frostbite.
Jasper decided to cut out cookies, she only did four before going back to the couch and reading. Lilian sighed and walked over to join Jason.
The crafty person I was wanted to give my reindeer eyes. I started going through cabinets and cupboards. I spotted a piece of paper underneath a shot glass. It read: diary combination: 61304 a.k.a the birthday of my crush.
My heart fell apart, I sat there for a second. Bewildered beyond belief. This was Envian's handwriting. I tried to make myself second guess but I couldn't. I knew my heart had been broken. Glue wasn't going to fix it this time.
"You okay?" Envian had appeared behind me. I clutched the piece of small paper even tighter.
"Yeah I'm fine, I just got kind of dizzy, I'm going to go lie down." I lied.
"That doesn't sound fine, do you need help getting up stairs?"
I looked at him with disbelief, "no I can make it up the stairs myself, I'm not paralyzed."
I walked up the stairs, fell onto the futon mattress and cried, cried my emotions out onto the floor. Right now, it seemed as if the floor was the only thing listening.
She knew, she knew his diary combination was 61304, it was her birthday. It was she who had gotten the diary for him. It was she who had loved him. It was she all along.
