Sixteen

I stared down at my phone with a pain in my heart. I did hate the guy, but it still made me sad knowing Isaac was now an orphan.

Tomorrow night is going to be my first full moon. And I still had yet to tell them I rejoined Derek's pack.

"Dean." I spun around quickly at the sound of Lydia's voice. I slowly put my phone away as I looked down at her.

"Uh.. h-hi, Lydia." I stammered, looking around the school awkwardly. "Um... how are you? Y'know... since last night."

Lydia smiled up at me and shrugged. "I'm okay. Everyone has been telling me you had technically saved me, even though you only brought me a jacket." She said as I nodded. "Speaking of which..."

Lydia reached into her bag, pulling out the jacket I had given her, and handed it to me. "You can have this back." I took the jacket and nodded.

"Thanks. Um.. so you sure you're doing okay?" I asked again as she nodded.

"Yeah. They told me I went into a fugue state. Basically I don't remember anything from the last two days I was missing, but I lost 9 pounds so I'm great." Lydia chuckled quietly as I hummed.

"Right. Well, I'm happy to know you're doing alright. But, I have to get to the locker room. Practice, and all." I patted her shoulder as she nodded, the two of us parting ways as I started to jog to the locker room.

And as soon as I entered, I was grabbed by Scott.

"Jesus!" I yelled, Scott glaring up at me.

"Whose the other werewolf?" He growled as I scoffed.

"I'm not telling you. Find out for yourself." I pushed Scott off and looked over at Stiles, who turned away awkwardly.

I stared down Scott, who was currently blocking the goal I was trying to get the ball in. I rolled my shoulders back and placed my feet firmly on the ground, waiting to hear Finstock's whistle.

And once it did, I sprinted for the goal. I knew Scott was a good catch, but I was just as good as him with this bite.

I reeled the stick back, hurling it right past his ear and into the net.

"Nice shot, Edric! Maybe I should have you replace McCall!" Finstock grinned as I smirked, hearing Scott huff angrily as I walked back in line.

Scott already knew I was a werewolf, so there was no need for him to try and pick me out. But for everyone else, he tackled to the ground.

"Stilinski! What the hell is wrong with your friend?" Finstock asked as he yanked Stiles towards him.

"Uh well... he's failing two classes, he's a little socially awkward and if you look close enough, his jawline is kinda uneven." Stiles made a gesture to his won jawline as Coach Finstock peered at Scott, who did indeed have a very uneven jawline.

I didn't even realize Isaac had revealed himself to Scott until I noticed Scott walking up to me.

"It's Isaac, isn't it? Well... no need to tell me. He already revealed himself." Scott walked away as Isaac walked up to me.

"Seriously?" I frowned as Isaac shrugged.

"He was going to find out anyways. May as well make it easy for him."

"Dean it's the full moon tomorrow night." Stiles started whilst walking next to me. I sighed and nodded.

"Yep. I'm aware. My first full moon." I forced a smile as Stiles nodded.

"Yeah. Which means you'll have the urge to maim and kill. You need Scott and I'd help now that you left Derek's pack." He said as I winced slightly. Still haven't told them.

"Right. Well I'll be good for the next few hours so... I'll se you guys then." I patted Stiles roughly and started walking away.

"So you're saying you're perfectly fine right now?" Stiles asked, catching up to me as I stopped and huffed again.

"Yes, Stiles." I answered, turning to him.

"And you don't have the urge to maim?"

"No, Stiles." I spoke lowly, clenching my fists slightly.

"Or kill?"

"Stiles." I fumed as he stared at me for a moment.

"What?" He asked as I glared at him.

"Shut up."

Full Moon

My phone was currently blowing up with text messages from Stiles and Scott as I sat in Derek's car. We were currently on our way to go rescue Isaac from jail, because he's been accused of murdering his father.

I mean, I would have killed him, but I'm not really a violent person.

I am, however, a violent werewolf who would gladly murder an abusive parent.

I'm not admitting I killed Isaac's father... I would have, though.

"You saw the whole interaction with Scott and Isaac on the field today, didn't you?" I asked, turning to Derek. He still had his resting bitch face on.

"Yeah." He answered, not turning to face me.

"And you know for a fact Isaac didn't kill his dad?"

"Isaac isn't a killer. He's like... He's like a puppy with presidential power." Derek said as I frowned.

"That's the weirdest... yet most accurate simile I've heard." There was a long silence as I pondered my next words. "By presidential power you mean—"

"Yes, I mean the bite." Derek cut me off as I nodded.

"Right." I mumbled as the two of us pulled up to Isaac's house. "Wait... I thought we were going to the station?" I asked, seeing something move out of my peripheral vision.

Scott McCall.

We all stared at the open freezer in the basement. There were claw marks all around it.

"This is what you were talking about when you mentioned the freezer." I said as Derek nodded slowly. Scott turned to the two of us.

"This is why you but Isaac?" Scott glared at Derek, who didn't remove his gaze from the freezer.

"Everyone wants power, Scott. Some of us want it for a reason." Derek turned his eyes to me, Scott doing the same.

"You did it to save Jeremy." Scott stated the obvious as I nodded.

"If you had the choice, you'd do it to save your mom." I whispered as Scott looked down. "Isaac said yes to get out of this situation, I'm sure you can understand why."

"Did you tell Isaac about the Argents? About being hunted?" Scott asked as Derek nodded.

"Yes, and he still asked."

"Then he's an idiot." Scott glowered as I scoffed.

"Says you. Aren't you the one that dated a hunter?" I snapped as Scott turned to me.

"You saw what happened to the omega, Scott. If you join me, you'll learn control. Even on a full moon." Derek said as I looked between the two.

"If I'm with you, I lose her." Scott mumbled.

"You'll lose her either way, Scotty."

I got out of Derek's car as we parked at the station, stopping when I saw Allison get out of Stiles' Jeep. "Woah woah woah... you brought her too?"

"Is there a problem?" Allison asked as I scoffed.

"Yeah, there's a problem. You're a hunter surrounded by werewolves. This is like a buffet for you." I said as Allison shrugged.

"We don't have time to argue, you two." Derek snapped as Stiles finally got out of his Jeep.

"Okay, the keys to every cell are kept in a password protected lockbox in my dad's office. The only problem is that we have to get past the front desk." Stiles explained, all of us looking at Derek.

"I'll distract her." Derek started walking, Stiles quickly stopping him.

"Woah— you? You're not going in there." Derek slowly looked down at Stiles hand, which was on his chest. "... I'm taking my hand off."

"I was exonerated." Derek said, Stiles scoffing.

"You're still a person of interest."

"Just let him flirt so we can get Isaac out." I yanked Stiles away from Derek, who quickly went back to walking into the station.

"Seriously?" Stiles frowned at my hand, which was gripping his shirt as I nodded.

"Yes. Because we would have been standing here for too long talking about Derek being a criminal." I turned my head over to Scott and Allison, who were quietly going over the plan.

"Guys come on. We don't have all year."

I crept around the police station as I searched for Isaac, ducking behind walls when I saw an officer walk past a few feet ahead of me.

The quiet whistling drew me towards one of the farther ends of the station, seeing Isaac resting against the wall rather than sitting on the bench.

"Isaac! There you are." I quickly fumbled for the keys Stiles had handed me, inserting it into the cell and unlocking it. "We gotta get out of here quickly before—"

"Hey! What are you two doing?! You aren't supposed to be in here!" I spun around in fear as Isaac stared at the officer.

"Oh I'm uh— we were just—" Isaac didn't even hesitate to try and lunge at the officer, causing me to have to yank him back as the man held a taser up.

"You two out your hands up now!" He ordered as we did so reluctantly. I slowly started shuffling closer to him, the man clearly smelling of fear. "The hell is wrong with your eyes?" He asked me as I sighed.

"Dammit." I whispered, jumping at the man and knocking him out quickly. Stiles appeared a few moments later, Scott then appearing before a full on brawl awoke, Isaac shifting to his werewolf form and trying to attack anyone he could see.

Then Derek appeared, and roared loudly, causing Isaac to return to normal and press against a wall fearfully, whimpering almost apologetically.

I stared down at the unconscious officer that I had just knocked out, looking over at Stiles, who was looking down at the cowering Isaac.

"How did you do that?" Stiles asked, turning to Derek, who hummed.

"I'm the Alpha."
