Chapter 2
Xiali's POV...
I didn't have time to think about anything other than hopping inside the car and closing the door to escape the creepy stalker. The guy on the driver's seat hit the gas and rushes off out of the scene, leaving the creepy stalker standing near the dumpling shop alone.
"Ok, can you at least tell me why the hell did you know I was here?" I ask the guy with curiousity.
"Aren't you suppose to be a little happy that I saved you from a possible criminal?" he says with a chill tone as he keeps his vision on the road.
I sigh at the thought of his statement being right. Yes, I should be happy that this guy actually came at the right time to save me from that creepy stalker.
"I'm sorry. I should have thanked you for letting me in your car. Thank you for saving me, Ten," I say as I feel quite embarrassed.
"Hey! Don't sweat it. I'm glad that I was able to save you on time," says Ten.
I take a glance at him who is still focus on the road. I'm still wondering how did he knew where I was at this time, but I thought about talking about it later. I'm literally so tired from all the running.
"By the way, would you mind to join me for dinner and some drinks?" says Ten.
I thought about his offer for a moment. Well, I am kind of hungry, and I guess having some drinks with this guy won't hurt. Besides, I do need a drink right now to chill my mind from the whole stalker thing.
"Sure," I say.
"Cool. We'll arrive at my favorite spot soon," Ten says.
At Yue Liang Cafe...
We arrive at a small yet cozy cafe. The place isn't too loud, which I felt comfortable since I'm not really into loud places. Ten and I take a seat as the waitress approach us to take our orders.
"I'll have one pork noodle and a glass of white wine," Ten says.
"One pork noodle and a glass of white wine. And how about you, Miss?" the waitress ask.
"I'll have a bowl of pork soup and a glass of water," I tell the waitress.
"One bowl of pork soup and a glass of water," says the waitress as she puts her note away. "We'll be back with your order soon." The waitress starts walking back to the kitchen.
"So...you're not drinking tonight?" ask Ten as he raise one of his eyebrows at me.
"Nope. I have to go to college tomorrow morning. I wouldn't want to wake up with a bad hangover," I say.
Ten gives me a small smirk as he stares into my eyes. "Just a little drink won't give a bad hangover," he says. "I don't really want to be lonely AND drunk tonight, but I guess getting drunk is a lot more fun with a friend, am I right?" he says with a small flirty smile. Did he just try to flirt me?
I roll my eyes though I could feel my cheeks blushing a deep shade of red. He lets out a small laugh at he stares at me. Come to think of it, he does have a point that a little drink won't give a bad hangover, and I really do want to have a drink tonight. I guess it won't hurt to have a little drink. The waitress soon comes out with our drinks.
"Thank you. Oh, and I would like to order a bottle of red wine," says Ten as the waitress serves us our drinks.
"One bottle of red wine coming up, Sir!" says the waitress.
Ten turns his head to face me with a smile. I start to get mesmerize by his charming smile. The waitress soon comes back with a bottle of red wine and two empty glasses. The waitress opens the bottle and pours the red wine into the two glasses.
Ten raises his glass with a smile. I smile at him and raise my glass as well.
"Cheers!" says Ten with a small smile.
The two of us takes a small sip of the red wine. I take this chance to ask him some questions since I'm still confuse, while we enjoy our drinks.
"So...how did you know I was near the dumpling shop?" I ask him with curiousity.
"Well, let's say I happened to pass by when I saw you. I thought you were in trouble," says Ten before he takes another sip of his wine. "But hey, maybe I could reveal more details to you once I get drunk."
I roll my eyes as he lets out a small laugh. Is this guy really serious? He's gonna wait until he's drunk to spill all the details?
"Well, if you get drunk first, will you tell me more details?" I ask.
"Of course. But as a fair game, I would like you to also join me in this drinking competition," says Ten as he gives me a small wink.
My cheeks starts blushing again as I roll my eyes. "Then let the competition begin!" I say with a confident tone. I couldn't help but accept this silly offer of him. Not only did I want to know more details about how did he find me, but because a part of me actually wanted to get drunk tonight with him.
The waitress soon comes out of the kitchen with our food. She serves us our food before going back to the kitchen again.
"Cheers for tonight!" I say as I raise my glass.
"Cheers to the competition!" Ten says as the two of us ends up laughting before we take a sip of our wine.
An hour passed by, and we eventually drank more and more glasses of wine. I'm starting to feel pretty drunk, my words even became sloppy. My head is spinning and my body feels so tired.
"So...did I win?" I ask as I lay my head down on the table.
"Little sister, you're so drunk right now," says Ten with a slightly drunk tone.
"I'm not your sister," I say with a drunk tone.
"You're so cute," says Ten as he lifts up my messy hair that was covering my face.
The next day....
I woke up with a pretty bad headache. My head is still spinning badly. I try to recall everything that happened last night, when I realize that I had fallen asleep in an unfamilliar room. Wait...where am I? This isn't my room. What happened?
I look at the right side of the bed to see an alarm clock on the small white table. I grab the alarm clock and see that it's 8 AM.
"Where am I? What happened?" I say to myself.
"You got pretty drunk last night, so I decided to take you here to get some rest."
I recognized that soft voice. I turn my head to see Ten standing in front of me with his hair wet and a towel wrapped around his shoulders. He is shirtless and is only wearing some black baggy gym pants. He lets out a small smile as he sees me staring at him with a mesmerize look.
"You like what you see?" he says with a flirty tone.
"Umm...sorry," I say as I snap back to my sense. "Where am I?" I ask him.
"You're in my room. The guest room was still a mess so I just put you here last night," he says as he opens his closet to look for his shirt.
I sigh as I lay down and cover my face with a pillow. I won't be able to go to college today with this headache, plus I need to find an excuse to give to my mom when she ask me where have I been all night. I stood up to get my phone from my bag.
I was about to call my mom and told her I stayed at a friend's house last night, when I hear a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" I ask Ten.
"Just my friend," says Ten as he opens the door to reveal a guy with thick eyebrows entering the room.
"Ten ge! Breakfast is ready. Kun ge also made some warm tea for us," says the guy.
"Thanks. We'll be down in a second," says Ten.
"Ok," says the guy before he glance at me. "And you...how's your head?" He ask me.
"Umm..pretty much, still in a headache," I say.
The guy gives me a cheeky smile. "I'm Xiaojun by the way. What's your name?"
"Xiali," I say.
"Coo," Xiaojun says to me. "I'll be heading down now. See you!" says Xiaojun to Ten before he walks out of the door.
Ten puts on his black t-shirt and turns around to look at me who is still lying down on his bed.
"Shall we have breakfast now?" says Ten with a bright smile as he stares into my eyes. Again I find myself lost in his beautiful eyes and mesmerized by his charming smile.
"Umm..sure. But I'm gonna call my mom first just so she won't worry about where have I been all night," I say.
"Ok. I'll meet you downstairs. See you!" says Ten before he walks out of the room.
A few minutes later....
I walk downstairs to see Ten, Xiaojun, and another guy having breakfast together in the dining room.
"Good morning," I say to the three guys as I pull out an empty seat next to Ten.
"Does your head still hurt?" ask the guy sitting next to Xiaojun.
"Yes. I think I drank too much wine last night," I say as I take sip of the warm tea. "I hope I didn't gave this guy too much trouble," I reffer to Ten who is drinking his cup of tea.
"Haha, no worries. Ten actually thought you looked hot when you were drunk," says the guy, in which he made Xiaojun burst into laughter.
"Kun ge!" says Ten with an annoyed tone. "I only said she looked kinda cute."
Kun lets out a small laugh as he looks at me who is in the middle of eating my porridge. "What's your name?" Kun ask me.
"I'm Xiali. And you?" I ask him.
"I'm Kun. Nice to meet you," says Kun as he gives me a warm small smile. I smile back at him.
"We also have another friend who will be coming back from Seoul today," says Xiaojun as he takes a spoon of porridge.
"I'm pretty sure he wants to meet you."
I look at Xiaojun with a confuse look. "Meet me? Why?" I ask with confusion before I glance at Ten who just finished his bowl of porridge.
"It's a surprise," says Ten as he gives me a wink. He gets up from his seat and walks to the kitchen to put his bowl in the sink.
I awkwardly stare at Xiaojun and Kun who are almost finish with their porridge. I'm starting to get confuse about all the puzzle pieces Ten's been throwing at me since last night. From how did he find out where I was, to this. I eventually finish my bowl of porridge. I stood up from my seat to put the bowl in the sink, when I hear the door bell ring.
At the living room...
"Ah, he's back," says Ten as he walks to the front door to open it.
"Hey bro! Welcome back," says Ten as he greets his friend who just got back from Seoul, Yangyang.
"Hey little bro!" says Kun as he walks to the living room followed by Xiaojun.
"Man, what a trip!" says Yangyang as he places his bags down and streches his arms out.
"Well you look like you could use a glass of water," says Ten with a smirk as he knew that Yangyang would be really happy to see Xiali.
Yangyang forms a small smile. "Where is she?" he ask.
"In the kitchen," Ten says.
"Ok, thanks," Yangyang says as he walks away. He was about to walk into the kitchen, when he sees Xiali walking out of the kitchen and almost bumping in to him. The two enter a surprising eye contact.
"Xiali?" says Yangyang as he studies her face carefully. He is surprised to see that his best friend didn't change much.
"Yangyang?" says Xiali in a shock tone. She couldn't believe she's standing in front of her childhood best friend who had been away from her for years.
To be continue...
