~Chapter 2~
The day moved at a snail's pace as soon as the men left. I didn't know if I could go back to my apartment. But, after my shift ended, the window of decision closed and I was driving through the dark streets, making my way back to my apartment. When I pulled into my parking spot, I stayed frozen in my seat for a moment. What if they were waiting to slaughter me as soon as I walked through the door? What if they were waiting to get me and torture me? I breathed out, a breath I didn't know I'd been holding and slowly got out of my truck. Just as slowly, I made my way up the steps to the second floor of the apartment complex. The suspense was making the hair on the back of my neck was standing on end. When I got to the red door of my apartment, I was shaking and my anxiety was taking hold. Then, I tensed up and swung the door open, basically thinking 'Screw it' at this point. I scanned the living room and it was trashed. I scowled, thinking some pretty colorful things as I walked in the door. I dropped the bag I had and started attempting to clean up the living room, but I stopped dead when I heard a floorboard creak in the kitchen. I furrowed my eyebrows and walked slowly to look into the kitchen. That's when I saw the big guy from the diner, Billy I think it was, in his hulking form, smirking at me evilly. "Well hi there, pup..." I growled and narrowed my eyes as I pulled the pocket knife from my belt and I tried to lunge at him. But I was taken down to the floor by a crushing force, the force landing on top of me, "Don't struggle..." I heard the british accent from before and I tensed more, not daring to move because I couldn't do anything if I ended up dead. It was probably my fate anyways, but I was going to at least prolong it. I heard Billy laugh an awful laugh and I was pulled to my feet. The boy was holding my arms in a way where he could snap them if I decided to move, so I was pretty much sunk at this point. Billy came up to me and I felt something cold run across my jawline and I tilted my head up slightly as I realized it was a knife. "You know, I respect your tactics, Kasai. You managed to stay away from us for quite a while." He smirked and grabbed my chin with one of his hands, "Huh, your name means fire... But I think your light is slowly fading, don't you...? A kid who hasn't had contact with her parents and is a mute FREAK doesn't have much to live for, I'm guessing..." He smiled grimly, "Now... Our men are gonna make your life a lot worse than it is already." I couldn't even speak against this man so all I did was ripped my face away from his hand, while his laugh rang through my trashed apartment. The boy the was holding my arms tightened his grip on my arms and I winced, making a tiny sound of pain. The only thing I'd been able to do for the past 8 years.
Billy grunted to the boy, "Mizu, take he to the van, you're gonna have fresh meat tonight..." I froze as he said this... What did he mean...? Fresh meat...? I was moved only when Mizu drug me out of the apartment and to a black van. Wow, stereotypical much... I felt something get zipped around my wrists and I was thrown into the back. Mizu said nothing, not even meeting my eyes when I turned to give him a death look. He slammed the back doors closed and I winced at the loud sound. I didn't know where we were going, all I knew was that I wouldn't make it out of wherever it was alive.

We drove for hours, hitting bumps and potholes, which told me we had run out of road a while ago. I found that extremely unsettling because if I managed to escape, there would be nowhere I could run to... When the back doors finally opened, I winced as the sunlight hit my eyes. It was dark when we had begun driving, which meant that we drove over night. Meaning that we could be anywhere... Mizu's steady voice said in monotone, "Come on. Don't make me drag you." I scowled at him and spit towards where he was. He chuckled slightly and reached in, grabbing my shoulder and pulling me out of the van. Before he moved his hand I lowered my head and bit down hard onto his hand. He cursed loudly but didn't make a move to hurt me. Billy, on the other hand, had no problem with it. He punched me square across the jaw and I fell to the ground from the force of it. I looked up at the hulking man and growled slightly, to which I was yanked up by Billy and he drug me along while Mizu clutched his injured hand that had blood dripping through his fingers. I spit my own blood out of my mouth from when Billy hit me and kept the snarl present on my face. But soon, Billy seemed to realize that I would probably bite one of the again so he stopped only long enough to gag me we a rag that was in his pocket. I narrowed my eyes as I was lead down corridor after corridor. It was like a maze, trying to find my way out of here struck me as impossible. Either way, I knew what was coming when I heard a blood-curtling scream echo through the building and I had flashbacks of Callie. I looked to my feet as tears threatened to spill over and I was trembling slightly.
I was never getting out of here. They'd keep me here until they got my broken vocal chords screaming just like the scream we'd just heard. Begging for mercy that I knew I wouldn't receive...
