Cole tightens his grip on my hands as I try to break loose. He's way to close to kick now, but I'm not going to back down.

He looks me in the eye and I look back defiantly. It's just a battle of will and it seems we're both too stubborn to back down. Which means it's time to play brain games.

I crinkle my nose. "Is that a garbage truck or your breath?"

He stays quiet.

I open my mouth to say something else when Jay and Kai burst in.

"What's going on? We heard a thum- woah, Cole, what are you doing? Lloyds gonna kill you if he walks in!" Jay says, watching wth wide eyes.

Kai wastes no time and comes up to me, taking my forearm and twisting it to my back. Cole gives him my other arm and takes the remaining rope from the bed to tie them together, again. Quick note that I didn't just let them do this. You better believe I was kicking and thrashing the whole time.

By the time I looked back Jay was gone. I look straight ahead as they finish off the knot and try to ask me how I got loose.

Do they really think I'm going to tell them? How idiotic can they be?

No, I think. They don't even want me here. Lloyd does. And if he's the same that he was as a child he doesn't care about his own safety, but rather doesn't want me back with Father. Which means I need to escape before he has a chance to to attached to me again.

Lloyd was the one who left me.

And no matter how loud people scream my name, I only need to focus on my own thoughts.
