Gajeel's POV

I open my eyes as the sunlight filters into my room. I hear Levy's steady breathing. I let her go as I get up. I see some jeans and a t-shirt on the chair for me. I grab them and go into the bathroom. I quickly and as I quietly as I can, with my injuries, I put them on. I try to get my shirt op but stop, in fear of ripping my stitches. I walk out with just my pants on. I look around and see Levy's clothing in a neat pile on another chair. I walk over to the bed and sits down. I grab my phone and see the Juvia have texted me. I send her a message back as I look over as Levy. She looks so peaceful when she is asleep. She mutters in her sleep as she holds onto my arm. I blush faintly as I look down at the sleeping Shrimp. I sigh then get back under the covers. I pull her to my chest as I put my phone into my back jean pocket. Hopefully Wendy and my mother is fine. And tomorrow I get my father's letter. I start to wonder what he will write in it. Lev stirs in her sleep as she yawns and slowly opens her eyes up.

"Morning Shrimp," I say ta her.

"Hey Gajeel. How did you sleep?"

"Good. What about ya?"

"It was fine. I'm going to get change out of this," Levy says as I let her go.

She grabs her clothing and head into the bathroom to change. I sit up and get out of the bed as a nurse comes in.

"Hello! How do you feel today Mr. Redfox?"

"I fell fine," I tell her as Levy come in.

"That's good. How about you Ms. McGarden?"

"I feel great," Lev tells her as she nods her head.

"I will go get the doctor. You might be release sooner than we thought," the nurse says as she leaves.

After she close the door, I start to cough and wheeze. Levy comes over to me and gives me a tissue. I grab and cough into it. When I remove it, I see some blood on it. Lev then hits me on my chest.

"Baka!! You knew you weren't fine!"

"Calm down Shrimp. I'm fine. I must have bit my mouth," I tell her as I put the tissue into the trash can as the doctor walks in.

"Hello. We will check on both of you and if you are both fine you can leave," the doctor says.

We wait and does as the doctor instructs as he checks on us. After he is done, he leaves and we wait for him to come back.

"Ya ready ta go home," I ask Shrimp.

"Of course. I miss my parents," she tells me. "What about you?"

"Can't wait ta see Wendy and mom," I tell her as the doctor comes in.

"You are both ready to go home. Have a nice day," the doctor says as we grab our things and leave.

"Ya want me ta walk ya home," I ask Shrimp.

"Sure. Maybe you can stay for lunch," Lev says as we leave the hospital and walk to her house.

I walk next to her as we keep walking. It was a peaceful walk to her house. No one attacked us. I was still kept an eye out as we near her house.

Levy's POV

I can't wait to see my parents. They don't know I was release and I hope they don't get angry at me for not telling them. I walk next to Gajeel as we get to my house. We get to the front and I knock on the door. My mother opens it and looks at me as she smiles. She hugs me as my father comes over.

"It's good to see you out. Why didn't you call us? We could have picked you up," my mother ask me.

"I wanted to surprise you," I tell them as I smile.

"I better go. My mom might wanna see me out of bed too. See ya at school," Gajeel says as he say goodbye and leaves for his house.

"He seams like a nice guy. And your friends are an interesting bunch," my father tells me as I step inside and close the door.

"Yeah...sorry about you having to see that," I tell them.

"It's alright. What do you want to do," my mother ask me.

"I want to watch a movie. Just the three of us," I tell them.

Gajeel's POV

I walk home from Lev's place. Compared to her, mine is smaller and seams dull. It's a grey house that is about 10 minutes away from her. I don't feel 100% good, but I don't want Shrimp to worry about me. I just want to keep her safe and happy. I get to my house and open the door as I walk in.

"Skipping class I see. You are not better than me," Fred says from the couch.

My mother comes over and hugs me.

"I'm glad to see you out. How is Levy?"

"She's fine. I dropped her off at her house before coming home," I tell my mom.

"And is she skipping too," Fred ask from the couch. "And where were you last night?!"

"He was at the hospital. And so was his friend. They got mugged and were injured," my mother tells Fred. "They got the day off from school."

Fred scoffs and go back to watching boxing. I head to my room and open it to see Pantherlily look at me. I smirk and gives him a Kiwi. He purrs and eats it contently. I close my door and lay on my bed and take a nap.
