Levy's POV

"Have a great day," I say as the last person leaves the library.

I head over and turn the sign from open to close. I go and grab my things as I wave goodbye to the librarian. I hum as I start to walk towards my house. I hum as I start to skip. I bump into someone and I almost fall but catch myself.

"I'm sorry. I didn't see where I was going," I tell him as I look at him.

/da man she ran into/

"Looks like we got a pretty girls boys," he says as he smiles evilly.

I back up as his gang surrounds me.

"Let me go!"

"Sorry sweetheart, but that's a big fat no," he tells me.

I back up until my back is against the wall. I need help. Who will save me? Almost everyone is at dinner with their family. And that's when I screamed.

Gajeel's POV

I walk down the street heading towards the library. I sigh and look at the time to see it says 6:30. I should head home soon. I was about to turn around when I hear someone scream. I run towards the noise.

"Keep her quiet! We don't want anyone to bother us," I hear a voice.

I turn into the alleyway to see a man pin someone against the wall. I see her blue hair and orange headband and knows who it is instantly.

"Ya leave her alone," I tell them as I step into the alleyway.

"And what if we don't?"

I surge foreword and punch the man who pin Shrimp against the wall as he stumbles away from her.

"Ya ok Shrimp?"

"Y-Yeah. Thanks Gajeel," Shrimp tells me.

Some of the pull out knives as their leader gets up and grabs his gun.

"You will pay for that Bitch," I says as he points the gun at me.

I roll my eyes and throw a knife that I keep hidden in my comback boot at him. It his him in his shooting arm as he drops the gun. The others lunge at me as I fight them. Soon they are all on the ground. I look at Lev and smile at her. A BANG rings out as I feel pain shoot up from my torso. I look down to see a bullet hole where the bullir entered and exited. I turn to see the leader with the gun in his hand. I punch him hard as he flies back unconscious. I look over to see Levy holding her shoulder. Shit! The bullet must have hit her too. I go over to see blood on her hand. I curse as I rip the bottom of my shirt off. I fold it and press is against the wound. We step out into the setting sun. I look at the wall and curse again, since the bullet isn't there.

"Don't mover yer arm Shrimp. The bullet is in yer arm," I tell Shrimp as I walk over to her.

I grab a pair of tweezers that I keep on my jean pocket. I removed the bullet as Shrimp screams in pain. I put the cloth back over the bullet wound as she falls unconscious. I curse, yet again as I hold her unconscious body. I grab her bag and find her phone. I unlock it, since she doesn't have a password and look for her address. I find it and zip her backpack up. I sling it over my shoulder as I hold Levy bridal style as I run towards her house. I ignore the pain in my torso as I get closer. Her phone rings and I see that it's her mother calling her. I decline as as get to the gate. I open it and close it as I get to the door and ring the door bell. I hear footsteps come close. I woman opens the door and gasp as her eyes land on Levy.

"What happen to my daughter?!"

"She needs help. She got shot," I tell her as she calls for someone.

"And how did she get shot?! And who are you?!"

"I'm her friend. Some gang thought it was smart to try and mug her. I stopped them and then the leader shot at me," I tell her as I hand Levy to the man that runs up. "The bullet went through my torso and hit her in the shoulder. I was able ta get the bullet out and she passed out 'cause of the pain of getting shot."

"Call 911 Shelby. I will take care of Levy and her friend," the man says as the woman runs off. "Thank you. Come in. We must address your wound too. What's your name?"

"Gajeel," I tell him as I close the door.

"Where did this happen?"

"An alley near the library. If the police hurry they can arrest the guys before they wake up. I knock 'em unconscious."

"Ok."

Shelby comes back on the phone.

"Here he is," she says as they hand me the phone.

"Hello this is Igneel. Now where did the mugging happen sir?"

"Ya don't have ta be formal with me Ig. It happened near the library in one of the alleys. If ya hurry ya can get the guys. They are unconscious. There is probably blood in the alleyway and the weapon is a 44-caliber pistol."

"Ok. Good thing you are ok Gajeel. My men are going there now. I'm coming to the McGarden's house with an ambulance. Stay safe."

"I know. Here's Mrs. McGarden," I say as I hand the phone back to her.

Shelby takes the phone and goes to another room.

"How do you know Igneel," Levy's father ask me.

"My dad went missing a couple of years back. I also know his son," I tell him.

"Ok. My name is Hank," he tells me. "Who is your father? The one that went missing?"

"Metallicana," I tell him as the door knocks.

Hank goes to answer it. I sit down feeling dizzy, and then I realize that I never took care of my bullet wound. I curse quietly as Hank and Igneel walks in with the paramedics. They walk over to me as I shake me head.

"Take care of Levy," I tell them.

One goes to check on her while the other stay with me.

"You are not ok," Igneel tells me. "How are you not unconscious yet?"

I shrug my shoulders.

"Don't know. Guess I'm more stubborn than I though," I say as the paramedic  starts to clean my wound in the front.

I sit up so she can clean the entrance wound as I wince slightly in pain. She wraps it up as her partner comes over.

"We need to take them both to the hospital. They will be fine, but we need to stitch the wounds up and make sure they are not infected," he tells Hank and Igneel.

"Ok. I'm going to call Grandeeney and tell her what happen," Igneel says as he calls my mother.

I slowly stand up, ignoring the pain as I stand. The female paramedic takes Levy to the ambulance and the male paramedic helps me get to the ambulance. I walk in and sit down. The put Levy onto the stretcher as I sit. The ambulance starts to move.

Igneel' POV

I finish talking to Grandeeney as I eat a call from one of my officers.

"Yes."

"It's about where he said they would be."

"What is it?"

"All of them are here. We found the gun and it's missing a bullet. We also found a bloody knife in one of the men's shoulder. It looks like Gajeel as warble to hit him before the man got knocked out. Also, we can tie this case to Phantom Lord. The symbol of the school is on one of them's arm. It clear as day. We just need one of them to speak. We cuffed them. What should we do?"

"Bring them to the Police Station. I'm going to make a stop at the hospital and then see you there. I'm going to make sure they are ok," I tell her.

"Alright Igneel. I will make sure to that."

I end the call as I look at Hank.

"They caught the men that did this to Levy and Gajeel. Do you want me to give you a ride to the hospital? Or are you going to drive there yourself?"

"I'm going to drive there with Shelby."

"Ok. I'm going to go there and see if either of them are awake to ask them what happen. Have a nice day," I say as I leave the house and head to my police car.

I hop into my car and drive to the hospital. I pass where my officers are working to see them put the last person into the police car. The area is roped off. They drive towards the police station as I head towards the hospital. I get into the hospital to see Wendy and Grandeeney waiting for the doctor.

"How are they?"

"We don't know. They just got here. Levy is getting stitched up, though I'm not sure about Gajeel."

I nod my head as the doctor comes over.

"You must to Wendy and Grandeeney. And nice to see you Igneel. Levy is fine. We were able to stitch her up and we will wake up shortly, however, Gajeel is another talk."

"Is he ok," Grandeeney ask.

"He will be. The bullet had poison on it. He took most of it. And the cloth that was over Levy's wound got the rest out of her before it began to spread. He passed out shortly after he arrived. I'm not sure how he could have stayed awake," the doctor explains.

"Will my son be ok?"

"He is in surgery right now. We should know in a little bit," he tells her as my phone rings.

I step away and answer it.

"Hey dad! When will you be back?"

"I don't know Natsu. We got a late call from your friend, Levy's mother. She and Gajeel got to their house. Someone tried to mug Levy but Gajeel stopped them. The person shot them and they are in the hospital. Levy is stitched up and fine, but Gajeel's in surgery. The bullet had poison on it. He too most of it and the cloth that was over Levy's wound got the poison out of her before it could spread."

"I'm getting the gang and we will be there," Natsu says as he hangs up.

I put my phone away as Hank and Shelby comes in.

"Is Levy ok?"

"She's fine. She is stitched up and rest. You can ask the doctor. Gajeel is in surgery. There was poison on the bullet. Gajeel got most of it and Levy was lucky enough to not get any."

"Oh no..."

"I know. You should go visit Levy before her friends crowd her," I tell them as they nod.

The doctor takes them to see Levy. I follow to make sure she is ok.
