Levy's POV

It's the first day of school on the new year. Christmas is over and it's getting closer to summertime. I quickly put on jeans, a tank top and my heeled boots. I get all of my school things together, all of my homework is down as I head down to make something to eat. My parents are already at work. I sigh as I eat a cinnamon pop tart. I put my backpack on as I walk to school. I live 5 minutes from school so I usually walk to school. I hum and skip as I walk to school. I run into my friend Lucy as we walk and talk about school and books. I say goodbye to her as I walk to my AP English class. I sit in my seat, which is in the back of the class a so set my desk up.

Gajeel's POV

My alarm goes off as I shut it off. I groan as I sit up. My cat Pantherlily is curled up in a ball on my stomach. I pet his head as he purrs happily. I put him off of me as I get ready to go to my new High School. The day before winter break, I sorta got in a fight...so Phantom Lord expelled me and I joins Fairy Tail High. Juvia also change schools. She was the one to convince me to go to Fairy Tail High. I sigh as I get a Kiwi from my closet and hands it to Lily. I have no idea how that cat likes Kiwi's. I ruffle his head and leaves my room as I close my door. My stepdad doesn't know about Pantherlily and he would probably whip me if he figures that out. He won't do it in front of my mother or Wendy, he never does. He's a fucking coward. I head down to see my mother in the kitchen. He stomach is getting bigger as the child grows inside of her. She is 4 months into her pregnancy with my new sibling. Wendy is excited for another sibling and I'm hoping that my stepdad, Fred, stays away from 'em. He's not gonna hurt 'em or my mother or Wendy. One reason why I get most of the beaten that he sends out in this house. He doesn't touch Wendy, and I make sure of that. I head out after eating a stale bagel. I grab my keys to my motorcycle and head over to it. I hope on after grabbing my school bag and head to school. It is a 10 minute drive to school. I pull up into the student parking lot and lock my motorcycle up so no one can steal it. I shove the keys into my jean pocket as I walk to the main office. I walk in and see the vice principal.

"Hello. My name is Makarov Dreyar. I am the vice principal. You must be Gajeel Redfox."

"Yup," I say.

"Here is your schedule. Enjoy. One of the students from your AP English will show you around for the rest of the day. Enjoy," Makarov tells me as I leave and walk to class.

The late bell rings but I don't care. I walk towards my AP English class.

Levy's POV

The late bell rings as our teacher walks into the class.

"Welcome back from break! I hope you had a great time," Laxus Dreyar, our teacher, tells us.

Someone knocks on the door and Mr. Dreyar goes to the door. He opens it at someone steps in. His raven hair is held back from a headband. He is wearing a white t-shirt with a black jacket over it. His jeans are ripped and are a dark blue. His red eyes scan the classroom as they finish talking.

"Class, welcome our new student, Gajeel Redfox. He transferred from Phantom Lord High. Levy McGarden, can you please give him a tour of Fairy Tail High? You both will be giving passes to be able to skip the rest of your classes. All of the teachers know this," Laxus tells me.

"Ok," I say as I pack up and walk to the front.

I hear people whisper different things, but I ignore them. I leave the class with Gajeel behind me. After the door close I look at him and hold my hand out.

"My name is Levy."

"Gajeel," he says as we shake hands. "So where to Shrimp?"

"Shrimp," I ask confused.

"Yeah. It's my nickname to ya since yer so small," Gajeel tells me.

"I'm not small!!! You are just too tall," I tell him as I puff my cheeks out in annoyance.

"GeeHee. So where to?"

"Let me see your schedule," I say as I hold my hand out.

He hands it over to me as I look it over.

"We have most of the classes together. The only difference is you have music when I have study hall for the last period of the day," I tell Gajeel as I hand his schedule back to him. "I will show you that. Follow me."

I start to walk off as he follows me.

"So are yer parents in charge of the McGarden Paradise?"

"Yup."

"That's cool. What do ya want to do when ya graduate High School," Gajeel ask me.

"Open up a bookstore/café. I'm not into the business that my parents are in, though I don't think they really care. What about you?"

"I want ta open a Metal Work Store. I'm good at making jewelry and other things with metal," Gajeel tells me.

"Do you have anything you made of you know? I would like to see what you can do," I tell him."

He puts the necklace that he was wearing off and shows it to me. It is one of a dragon, curled up around a blue gem. The dragon seams to be made from Iron and it have a red eye.

"The eye is a ruby and the blue stone is a sapphire," Gajeel tells me as he hands it to me. "I made it in the freshman year at Phantom Lord."

"I like it. How wear you able to do the detail?"

"Practice," Gajeel tells me.

I hand it back to him, but he gives it back to me.

"Ya keep it. I will feel better if ya keep it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah," Gajeel tells me.

"Thanks," I say as I smile and place it around my neck. "We are almost at the music hall."

Gajeel's POV

I follow Shrimp as we get closer to the music wing of Fairy Tail High. I relax a little bit, knowing that the necklace is in safe hands. I didn't tell her that is a locket, no need to tell her. Inside is a photo of my mom and Wendy. I don't want Fred ta find it. He would take us away and sell it. Then make me make more. That it what he did with a flower pin that I made for my mother. I said no to him and he whipped me. That's how I got my scars on my arms. That happen 2 years ago. Levy shows me my classroom for music. Afterwards she shows me the different wings and then we head out to sit under a cherry tree. It is 4th period. We both have lunch next period and she wants me to join herself and her friends from lunch under the cherry tree. We talk about our life. I tell her about Wendy and my mother and how she is 4 months pregnant.

"Hopefully everything goes well with the birth," Levy tells me.

"Me too. So who are ya friends?"

"Here they come now," Levy says as she points to a group that are walking towards us.
