He was going to do it.
Her close proximity was absolutely killing him. His striking blue eyes disappeared under his eyelids, softly fluttering shut. By the way her grip on his upper arms tightened, he could sense that she was doing the same.
She wanted him to do it. So. Bad.
His forehead already resting on hers, eyes slowly closing, and her eyes followed.
The image flashing through her mind, before the distance between them was closed, was how they got in that position.
They were in the library, searching for new books to read that day. There was one particular book she saw and wanted, so she got on her tippy toes and reached, for the book was on a very tall shelf. She went too high, and tipped over, falling into him.
Her fingers were curled around his arms, his arms tightly wrapped around her waist. He didn't want to let go, she didn't want him to let go.
And there they were.
With a swift movement, he brought his head down even farther and met her lips with his.
The kiss was soft and gentle at first, both scared that the other would regret it and end the kiss as fast as it started. His arms were tight around her, and he almost feared he was squeezing too hard, even though he wanted her as close as possible.
Then she began to press more, clawing at his shoulders, pressing closer to him, if even possible. His hands gripped her hips, pressing his lips against hers at a rapid pace, and her responding eagerly. Her hands made their way up to his neck, fingers pulling at his hair.
They would have continued if oxygen wasn't more important. Their pace slowed quickly, until they unfortunately had to tear their lips away from each other.
Her hands stayed clasped around his neck, his arms and hands stayed firm at her waist. Both kept their eyes closed, just taking the moment to catch their breath and gather their bearings.
"Can- can we do that again?" Stumbled from his lips, eyes partly open. Her eyes were still shut when she quickly nodded, bringing his lips back to hers with a force.
This kiss had more passion, all the stolen looks while reading together, the blushing, and everything in between rising to the surface and declaring something that was being said without words.
Hands floating to his chest, she gave a gentle push, and he pulled away immediately. There was now a safe two feet between them.
"It's just that... We're in a library," she said, breathing heavy.
He chuckled and shrugged, she smiled and shook her head.
Then they continued to look for books. When they were done, they silently read, side by side, until she had to go home for dinner.
