I literally started shipping this as soon as Red got mentioned in the Diamond, Pearl and Platinum manga (Bad explanation. I know)

I just think it would be cute for two different trainers (possibly two champions) to be in love!

If you think about it, Red is quite dark, ifygwim. (if you get what I mean) ... Just cause.

And it seems really cute for someone like Dawn/ Platinum, a bubbly and perky person, to be in love with Red.
