Author's POV
A few weeks have passed since the incident of Jin with the doll. And let's just say that...things haven't been going too well for Jin. Well, his job wasn't getting affected much but his brain was painfully and slowly going into complete insanity. Because it's very obvious that fate was having a fun time playing with him with its cursed thing called 'bad luck'. Tormenting Jin was its hobby which it was getting more involved in recently just like when Jin was younger. But this time it was attacking the man's sanity even more.
Things were going crazy in Jin's life ever since Joon's appearance. This man had really been doing things which not only made Jin more suspicious of him but just made him want to also pull his hair out with frustration and extreme curiosity. First, it's very obvious that Joon has a liking for Jin and he's not ashamed to show it, so he continuously keeps flirting with Jin, which obviously, is ticking him off.
Then there comes the slight giveaways about the fact that Namjoon knew things that Jin doesn't want anyone to know.
For example, during the time where, according to Jin, their 'unwilling' conversation got shifted to 'brotherliness' out of all the things in the world. And Namjoon just without noticing mentioned something.
'Oh sorry, how are you supposed to know the feeling of brotherliness when you don't HAVE a brother'. Yes, Jin actually didn't have a brother, but again, no one knows it.
It's very obvious to Jin as well that Namjoon might be purposely spewing out his knowledge about Jin's past and the question of how he knows it is what's messing with Jin's brain.
But now this is not the only suspicious thing about the man. Well to Jin he...also seems like a stalker. Here's the thing, nowadays, whenever Jin goes to his favourite places, at some point he will definitely, definitely, see Namjoon over there. During the first two encounters when he spotted Joon in the crowd, he thought that it was just an unfortunate coincidence. But when it happened more often, yeah, no, it was far from a mere coincidence.
He would go to his local and favourite cafe, he would spot Joon just casually sitting at his own usual seat while reading a book. He would go to the park that was around the same area, he would see Joon just quietly taking a walk in nature with complete calmness on his face. Yeah, you could say that maybe since Joon was living in the same area as Jin, so it was likely that he would be at the same places that Jin visited around his penthouse building. But well...that's not the case.
Jin remembered that one day he went to his usual fencing centre because well, it was one of his side hobbies. Jin would usually go fencing whenever he felt stressed or just wanted to have some fun. But well let me tell you, that place is actually kind of far from his house, so no way that it was just a coincidence to see Joon just taking off his helmet after what seemed like a battle with his coach.
And the worst thing was that Joon would already be at these places before Jin even arrived. Which at this point just meant that Namjoon was basically predicting where his love would be and he was not failing one bit at it.
Jin still remembered how much frustration built up inside him when he saw Joon for nearly the 3rd time in public. Just that first second he knew this dude was most likely stalking him or something at his point. That's probably a reason why Jin felt a constant gaze on him everywhere he went for more than a week.
Jin was an assassin, he knew when he was under surveillance. This is also a reason why he didn't currently interact with any of his underworld clients or bosses for any assassination deals. He couldn't keep his dark secret at risk.
One last thing that pushed all of Jin's brain cells to the edge was the recent incident with the doll.
The giggle.
The letter.
All of it.
There was something way more than just uncertainty about it. The doll was more...malicious in some ways. Hundreds of questions filled Jin's brain about that incident. Why would a doll want him to like it and in what ways? It was hard for him to contemplate anything about the doll. And then the giggle, after many hours of thoughts he was more than certain that it belonged to Kim Namjoon himself.
But how? How did he get in? Did he see Jin pressing the passcode to his penthouse? If he broke-in, then for how long was he there? Was he watching Jin sleep? Probably. But then...did he see the doll as well? How did he disappear right before the doll appeared?
Questions like these were what filled Jin's brain. He was going paranoid thinking about it, but luckily, he was able to separate his thoughts from his work because he has been doing that for years. But that didn't mean he did not think about it whenever he got the chance to.
Jin was slowly adding up everything that was happening to him and HAS been happening to him for the past few years. He realised that...somehow, just somehow all of it was correlated to Namjoon, but he didn't know how or why, again.

Currently, Jin was furiously punching the boxing bag with his gloved hands. Yup, the man was in a boxing gym, the city's most expensive boxing gym, to be specific. That was due to the amount of space, expensive and quality equipment, and famous boxing coaches they had.
Jin would usually take private sessions with his coach because well, if you forgot, then the dude's an introvert. He has no interest in the world to be furiously punching out his stress on the punching bag while a couple of people were checking him out. That already had happened a couple of times and he doesn't want any interference with his boxing sessions anyways. He also wasn't bothered about how expensive this place was, he had the money as always.
The reason he boxed was the same as fencing. He truly loved how he could take out his aggression and stress without anyone even noticing. He was really into sports honestly, he just loved working up his muscles until they would nearly tear off or his bones would almost break.
The after-effect pain just gave him the satisfaction of having done more than enough. Jin liked looking thin but being extremely strong. It just was a plot twist on people's expectations of him. Jin also did many other physical things like taekwondo, horse-riding, rock-climbing, ice climbing, diving, surfing and much more.
He honestly loved trying things that could easily kill him and have his life at risk. Regardless of not having an interest in most things and time for it, Jin absolutely loved intense and dangerous sports. He once even did bungee jumping from like an extremely high mountain. And after the first try, he promised himself he would take it to the next level and start taking base jumping lessons.
He would also sometimes do those sports with absolutely no care for safety. For example, extreme mountain biking without a helmet on the edge of the cliff and rock climbing without a harness or rope AND helmet again.
It sounds more like he was being reckless and careless which he WAS, but for him, it was to intensify the danger and make the experience to be more nerve-wracking. He just loved the extremely addicting adrenaline he got from risking his life so much.
Anyways, right now he was raging out his frustration about all the incidents in his life on the punching bag. He was already done with his training with his coach, but right now he was just practising and building up his skills and power a bit more. He was so close to literally ripping the punching bag from the other side due to his extremely powerful punches.
He was wearing a black sleeveless gym hoodie with the hood on. He also was wearing his normal black gym shorts. His arms flexed a lot with every punch he brought. Sweat dripped down on the floor as if a slow water tap was left open. All of his clothes were completely drenched with his strong scented sweat. His jaw was clenched and his eyes were hidden behind his wet sweaty bangs. His head was covered with the black hood and literal killer energy radiated out of him. But the hotness that came out of him was over the top at the most.
People will literally kill to see Seokjin in his complete hotness with his hot burning skin exposed and his clothes sticking to his wet body, exposing the shape of his greatly sculpted shoulders and extremely luscious-looking abs that were to die for.
Jin punched the bag one last time before finally stopping to take in as much oxygen as possible. He put down his hood with his gloved hands and opened the strap of both of his gloves using his teeth. Soon he removed them and threw them on the bench where his water bottle was. He ran his fingers through his drenched hair, pushing it back which caused it to reveal his sexy forehead in all of its glory.
All of sudden, he started laughing...really hard. It was more of a psychotic laugh, really. It seemed as if he was going crazy or something. Though, after some time he finally calmed down and licked his parted lips which formed a smirk eventually.
"He...he's trying to play with me, with my brain." He spoke to himself.
The person that he was referring to was obviously Namjoon. Jin at this point finally realised something.
"He's pulling me into a trap just like I would to someone else." He chuckled once again.
"He's smarter than I thought. But well...I guess he's just like me in some ways."
His face was instantly replaced with a dark poker face before he aggressively picked up his belongings and quickly headed to the changing area that was nearby.
A Few Hours After
Jin walked through the dark and nearly empty gigantic park. It was obvious that there were barely any people since it was dinner time and most people would be in their house by now, preparing for the next day already.
Jin was wearing his light blue sweatshirt and casual black joggers. It was all topped with a big down string black bag that was slung on one of his shoulders. It carried his boxing gear, dirty clothes, and shoes.
The man walked through the extremely dark and secluded area of the park. The only light that came was from the street lights that were then in the far area. He was surrounded by tall trees and the smell of fresh nature.
Dried leaves crunched under his clean white sneakers as he walked on the park pathway blocks. The only other sounds that could be heard were of the crickets and slight movements made in the tree branches by the small bats.
Jin was at more ease by now due to releasing his anger and finally understanding things. Namjoon was playing with his mind and he was kind of sure about it. This is because he thought from his own perspective of what HE would do if he had a prey like himself.
Curiosity was one thing that could make Jin go crazy and do something foolish and that's exactly what Joon was attacking. But all of this must have a motive, and that was something that Jin was unaware of. Was it because Joon loved him? But why would he go to such lengths JUST because he loved him? Maybe Namjoon was an agent from a mafia group that Jin might have caused problems to in the past? And now Joon had vengeance on him? Perhaps.
Anyways, Jin kept walking and consuming the darkness that surrounded him. His mind was finally getting relaxed as the peace didn't seem to be threatening, but as a person who was always a target by all of his enemies, he didn't let his guards down completely. He was ready to fight if he sensed a threat.
As he was walking, he heard subtle footsteps behind him, trying to crunch as few leaves as possible, but well, I guess they failed. Because Jin immediately paused on his movements, and without a warning, snapped his body to look behind. His hand was on the knife that was in his back pocket.
He expected it to be some sort of guy with a gun or something for a second but instead...it was the one and only person he detested to death more than anyone.
Wow I wonder who it is -_-
