Author's POV
Byun Baekyung had given his most valued team of assassins a well-disguised space to work at. It was somewhere far from the main city, somewhere near the mountains, but leaning more inside the woods. The building was constructed intelligently to be disguised between nature both in broad daylight and in the darkness of night. The building including all the heavily tinted windows were bulletproof. It was engineered to be resistant to bomb explosions and earthquakes.
Baekyun and his team must have truly known the value of these agents and the secrecy of this mission as a whole.
The house was fairly big with a modern exterior and decent interior that made anyone believe that this was definitely not the temporary residence of 4 high-profiled assassins. But that was just a visual cover. It was the floors after the basement that hid most of the advanced technical machines. The most expensive of PCs set up for the Intelligence experts. Various machines operated to help in producing the most perfect disguises for the agents. Pieces of equipment assisted in generating gadgets and all sorts of things.
Currently, the 4 special agents were working on their own individual tasks. Occasionally assisting each other with some work if they required any help. No matter how much they hated each other outside of work, professionalism mattered in teamwork settings, so they did what was required to make things keep running smoothly without any unwanted conflicts.
Agust was invested in making a weapon that will kill both of the first two targets. It was a micro bomb which didn't completely have the elements of a normal bomb. No, it was practically close to being considered as a biological weapon, but it wasn't one exactly. The bomb was about the size of a pea, the shape of a very tiny chunk of a cookie, and the colour of Oreo biscuits, making it difficult for it to even be considered a bomb.
The said weapon had fluids inside that were tightly sealed inside a rough shell that would burst open on the press of a single command. The fluids were acidic chemicals and bacteria that would create a deadly combination with the acids of one's stomach itself that would take a person's life in less than seconds. So yeah, in a way it COULD be considered a biological weapon as mentioned before. And since the man was working with such dangerous chemicals and substances, he was obviously in a confined lab on the same floor, which had everything he'd need.
On the other hand, we had Levinor. The devil in disguise was at the very moment creating glasses and lenses with digitised information inside them. It was so that they could easily have the 3D map of the area, along with security system information, profiles of all the guests there and much more. It was also a form of activating commands and communication between the 4 agents.
Yes, this wasn't Levinor's speciality, but over the centuries he had seen intelligence technology develop very closely (it was just one of his personal interests he developed over time). And he had seen and studied how to generate delicate gadgets like these and fit millions of pieces of information inside them regardless of how small the device was.
The plan was that half of them will wear glasses and the other half will wear only lenses. It was so the device would complement their disguise plan. The frames were already designed, it's the contacts and lenses that were yet to be filled with completed information.
Levinor had already beforehand taken pieces of advice from the expert Agust himself. He didn't even bother looking towards Victor. The Glemna was too much of a rodent for the Devil.
Levinor absolutely loathed him. First of all because of their past relations as enemies in the many battles held before but now also due to the occurrence of a new reason. The Glemna was bringing his temptations towards the Devil's property. Even to the dark angles that was a terrifying sin they couldn't commit. Why? You wouldn't wanna know...
To Victor, the Devil's jealousy was clearly obvious. Whenever he'd even say a SINGLE word to the emotionless agent, he'd get hidden death glares from the disguised being. The amount of muffled rage that radiated out of him, spiked Victor's suspicion as he was more around Julian. Because it was not every day that you would see one of the Devils getting pissed when someone was with one of their humans.
Human? That was the oddest part.
Victor could take it into consideration that Levinor would be overly possessive over the person he liked, (which it was very clear that he did). But a human? Really? That wasn't possible! He was one of the people who despised the human race more than ANYTHING in this universe. Then how was it possible? And that was the part that was getting Victor more thrilled about the so-called 'human' than he should.
'Was Julian a human ever after all?'
Questions like these were creeping into his head now. And it wasn't a good thing on Levinor's side for many reasons. Because if any other creature from hell other than Jimin and Levinor knew about Julians's true identity, then his man would be in so much danger that the entire hell would be behind his ass for eternity.
And the tension that radiated out of Levinor not only came to Agust's attention but especially to Julian's. In an odd way, Julian felt almost amused seeing the strong frustration on the taller's stupidly handsome face. He felt satisfied seeing that this time he was the one suffering with rage clouded in his mind. Although he didn't know why or how he was behaving this way, he was fully enjoying the temporary moment. Though, regardless of being partially clueless, he did have a slight hunch that it might be because of the new lad other than Agust. And that was exactly why he wasn't completely loathing and practically socially distancing away from Victor.
He had to do anything that would bring great irritation to the man he detested oh so much.
Anything.
This is how he ended up sitting in a separate glass laboratory right opposite the one with Agust and the open space Levinor was in. Victor insisted on getting his face mould made right at the moment so that he could start making everyone's mask for the sake of disguise and creating a whole different physical identity.
Face moulds were usually made out of latex because it's a flexible material which could peel off very smoothly and quickly. Since it's such a thin material, it easily replicates the exact area it's up on top of, which makes it excellent for making disguise masks.
This is exactly why Julian sat straight on a seat in front of Victor who was currently mixing the liquid while having his hands gloved.
Before this Julian had been glued to the many computers, glitching through all the legal systems to create new recognizable identities of people that have never existed and never will. He didn't want to follow the others to the lab, but he knew they all had to get their work done. So here he was...
Julian silently stared at the standing agent with his poker expression, usual intimidating aura and cold emotionless eyes. He contemplated reasons why Levinor was so permanently pissed at the standing agent from the very beginning and not just when his eyes landed on Julian.
To Julian, Victor wasn't AS annoying as Levinor. I mean that didn't mean that he would love to be in his company, but he would definitely not be annoyed just by Victor being in a 10-metre or further radius from him. He appreciated that the man didn't bother him too much by speaking constantly and being clingy like Levinor. He simply demanded what he needed and wanted, all professional and nothing too out of line. Just bland and simple. Yet he still managed to slip in some few casual questions here and there to which Julian didn't like much but seeing that Levinor was getting mad at them simply speaking, he most definitely answered.
"Don't touch my face more than necessary," The sitting agent muttered almost inaudibly, but still enough for the other to hear his words in the deafening silence of the room.
"I won't. Cuz if I do then Levinor is going to chop up my damn fingers," chuckled Victor finally turning to Julian with a small smile on his face. Before placing down the bowl along with other chemicals he was holding.
He soon went to the further corner of the room to get the thick plastic sheets that were neatly folded and stored in one of the many cupboards in the distance.
"I hope you don't mind me asking...but you know why he's so behind you all the time?" Victor questioned monotonously as he walked back with the said plastic sheets and a clear cap that looked like the ones you put on before wearing a wig.
Julian didn't want to answer the question but he thought the answer to it over once again. He didn't realise...but he was becoming playful with all the things which were correlated to Levinor...
I mean, what harm will come to him if he did tell him the reason that he ought to be true? More in more it would be Levinor that might come at a slight disadvantage, in which Julian saw no problems.
"He...he's just a narcissistic idiot who is too full of himself. He thinks that he can get anyone or anything he wants in the snap of the fingers. Regardless of who that person is. And from what I see, since he has finally seen a man who isn't falling for his stupid little tricks, his ego has gone down a little. And just to feed his little monster he's chasing after me, thinking that he can get me."
Julian spoke out emotionless as he humorlessly chuckled at the end before sighing.
"Sounds very much like Levinor," Victor commented as he cautiously started putting the plastic sheets around Jin's shoulder, as a shield from all the excess liquid that would fall down during the process.
Julian raised a brow at the person who was still gently laying the sheets on him, trying to touch him as little as possible just like told before. He narrowed his eyes but still kept that blank expressionless .
"So you HAVE met him before."
"During a mission. We were never on good terms from the very beginning. It was like hate at first sight." Victor lied realistically with an unreadable face, making his lie seem truthful.
Julian's eyes still narrow, not taking in the info as a truthful one. But he still brushed it off by nodding gradually.
And that was the last time they spoke and exchanged more words other than Victor reassuring Julian that he wouldn't kill the man by blocking all of his air pathways. It was just silent for the next hour or so, exactly how Jin liked.

It was midnight now. Complete silence in the woods other than the sound of some lonely hooting owls and a couple of sleepless crickets. Then the occasional howling of some wild wolves from an extreme distance. The pale crescent moon shone like a thin silver claw contrasting the sky's dimness.
The air was foggy and mildly damp. The aromatic scent of earth roamed mysteriously. It had rained and none of them noticed. They all had been too immersed in their work that even if an earthquake passed by they would have continued with their work.
Jinyoung walked out to the main balcony of the huge building. That specific area was hidden behind a few enormously horrifying trees so nobody could spot the soul, especially in the deadly darkness of drizzly nights like today.
He had just finished creating a mould for all the other three and he had already started tweaking features to create the mask into a whole different person. The job was difficult. But what isn't difficult?
The man sighed as he leaned against the railing, breathing in a pint of the human realm's natural air. He still wasn't used to it. The scent here was just too...bland. Not the best way to describe it but that was what he usually thought whenever he breathed in this world. Everything was just too muted down and less extreme than other dimensions. Probably because humans were weak little assholes who couldn't deal with shit. Again, it was just what he thought. :D
Jinyoung clamped his eyes to calm his soul down a little bit, getting lost in the sound of the woods. He eventually unhinged his eyelids back again before trailing his hand to his back pocket and swiftly grabbing a pack of Black Devil cigarettes.
To supernatural creatures, none of the human drugs were ever effective. The extremely powerful ones of good quality had an effect but it was close to practically nothing. But it was still something to do especially when one wanted to be distracted.
He was just about to put the thin black cigarette between his lips before long cylindrical fingers without being noticed, instantly snatching the fortune-costing death stick.
Jinyoung wasn't frightened, but he did pause in his movements, instantly knowing who the rude bastard was.
The fairly tall man grabbed a long black (similar shade to the tobacco stick) lighter with a golden dragon at the lid area, before lighting up the thin stick using the blue flame. He kept the lighter back as he soaked in the nicotine and then using his two fingers released the cigarette along with grey fog.
The devil in disguise leaned himself against the railing, staring into the distance without exchanging a single word with the other being.
Jinyoung simply scoffed at his quick actions. He actually hadn't even noticed the fella sneaking behind him. He himself lit a cigar and started releasing smelly fumes along the other.
Namjoon had too much going on in his head, especially due to the Gelmna beside him. He loathed him but he still needed a current distraction.
"You seem pissed," Jinyoung quietly commented as he sucked on the dangerous thing.
Namjoon gritted his teeth. Just Jinyoung's voice was enough to make him want to rip out his throat.
"Yeah no shit," Namjoon blandly replied, his voice sounding emotionless and sick of bullshit.
"Because someone else got the attention of your pretty boy?" Jinyoung couldn't help but creep out a sly smile behind the cigarette. He was slowly getting in the mood to play with the devil.
Namjoon scoffed before roughly licking his lips. "Well, he's my pretty boy, and if someone's in the radius of my pretty boy, then I WILL be pretty pissed about that. I think it's fair as well, don't you agree?" His voice was venomous, like a sweet brutal knife ready to attack from behind. The Devil's gaze pierced through the Glemna's soul but the other avoided it.
"But...why?" Jinyoung questioned. "How come him...of ALL other creatures." His own eyes bored back into Namjoon's.
"Because I can do whatever the FUCK I want, Park Jinyoung."
" Regardless of that, I can't help but wonder why a human out of all creatures, though." A sarcastically curious smile laced his face.
Namjoon's eyes hooded as he raised a brow at his words while narrowing his eyes further.
"You...you absolutely LOATHE humans, Kim Namjoon. You completely despise them. Then why Julian? Why did a human like him grab the great Levinor's attention?" A deadly smirk started appearing on his lips as he stepped a little closer to Namjoon. His cigarette hung loosely between his two fingers as his free hand held his elbow.
"It's a true mystery...that I will kill to find more about. I truly want to know why you are hunting after him now. And this time I promise you. I will win against you." His smirk turned into a satanic grin.
Namjoon's jaw was tightly clenched along with his fist. His eyes were threatening to turn into the naturally glowing crimson they were. How could this lowlife even have had the audacity to speak to him like that?
Jinyound knew he pissed the Devil himself. But this was slowly turning into payback for him taking away the throne that belonged to Jinyoung from the very beginning.
The Glemna playfully released the dark smoke right on Namjoon's face before giggling and parting his way.
Namjoon frustratedly fanned away the smoke. His fingers brutally crushed the cigarette with a wrath-filled mind.
"He's mine...mine and ONLY...mine."
God, I have such a werid obsession with obsession- Do any of you?
