Devan's P.O.V.

I woke up a little earlier today so I could check on (Y/n). Instead of waking up to the sound of nature I heard someone playing the piano. I looked out my window to see (Y/n)'s  window open and there she was playing piano. She is really spectacular and cute. I decided to get her attention. Since our windows were pretty close on shot a paper airplane in through her window. I saw her look up while still playing and she smiled then slightly blushed.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I woke up extra early remembering the past events of yesterday. I sighed and opened my window to let some fresh air in. I feel so drained. I decided to go over to my piano. Before that I took a quick and cool shower. After that I put my hair into a high ponytail. I put on some jeans and put on a white and blue top. I felt a little cold and saw Devan's hoodie. I decided to put it on. It smelled just like him. I snuggled into it and walked over to my piano. I decided to play the song I played at my mom's funeral, 'Loves Sorrow'. I sat there and played skilfully. Out of no where a paper airplane flew into the piano. I continued to play and looked up, I saw Devan. I smiled at first then blushed when I realized he was shirtless. I continued to play and by the time I was done Devan had changed. I walked over to the window and smiled a fake smile causing him to frown. "Can you tell me what happened yesterday?" I contemplated and decided I could trust Devan. "Yeah, do you wanna come in?" Devan nodded and disappeared from view. I ran downstairs to get the door. I opened it up to let him in.

3rd Person P.O.V.

As (Y/n) opened the door she let Devan in. He unconsciously smiled seeing that she was wearing his hoodie.  "Good morning." She said as the walked up to her room. When they walked in it was very different than Devan had thought it would look like. It had pale grey walls with many pictures and paintings around the room. Then close to the window was a piano and on the other side of the room was her canopy bed. She gestured for Devan to sit down on her lovesac while she sat on the bed. "So it started in middle school. When I was younger a girl named Hilary used to pick on me any and I mean any chance she could but usually Max was there to help me out of the situations. One day in eighth grade I got called up to the principal's office. My mom had to check me out because I had an appointment. On our way from the appointment it was pretty late at night and there was a drunk driver. It was so dark he didn't even notice us and drove right into our car. My mom ended up getting the most damage and a few hours later she died. When I went to school it felt like my life was over. Max tried to cheer me up and so did my dad but it felt like I had fallen into a state of depression." (Y/n) wiped some tears from her eyes and continued on. " Hilary found this as a way to get to me. She used to tell me that I couldn't even die right." By this time (Y/n)'s tears were uncontrollable. Devan came over and gave her a hug and sat on the bed so she continued. "Over time I had gotten over my mother's accident and life went on. Of course Hilary still bullied me but it was alright, usually Max was there to help me out because she was nice to him. One day in my Freshman year I was at my locker waiting for Max when Hillary came over. She slammed the locker door on my fingers into the locker. She told me that I was worthless and a waste of space. It continued to escalate. Eventually I had enough and said something back causing her to hurt me even more. I kept hoping and wondering when Max would come. By the time it was over I was bleeding in multiple spots, I had some bruises, and I had to get stitches. I was running out of the school when I saw Max talking to Hillary and he ran over to me and asked me if Hilary had 'talked to me for him'. I was so upset that I lashed out and ran out of the school. After that I never spoke to Max again and was home schooled. Eventually, with enough time, I forgave Max. When I came here and saw him I was happy but when we went to the store yesterday I saw him with Hillary and I didn't want history to repeat itself." (Y/n) couldn't stop crying remembering the horrid events of her past. Devan just sat there and listened. He hugged her and let her cry into his shoulder. Then he thought 'why would Hillary attack you so much? I mean she seems pretty mean but why you?'  Soon enough (Y/n) had calmed down and hugged Devan then whispered "thank you for listening." "Of course." They both got up and talked for a while about random things. Devan soon heard his phone buzz and it was Collins asking where he was. Devan said bye to (Y/n) and left her house.

When I got back to the house I saw Collins at the door wiggling his eyebrows. "So you were at (Y/n)'s house." I shook my head at his immaturity. "I was asking her about what happened yesterday." Collins looked concerned as I did. "So what did happen?" I told him the whole story. Collins was upset by the end. "So you're telling me that Max and Hillary... were at the center of this?" I nodded my head. "I knew there was something off about him." Collins said. "Wait. What?" I said. "When we first met him I felt there was something off about him, at the skating rink there was like some tension. I don't know bro, but whatever it is, I don't think that kid is good news." "Yeah, I mean why would he ask (Y/n)'s main bully to 'talk' to her. It just doesn't sound right." I agreed. We thought on the subject. Eventually we went and got breakfast and the rest of the day passed on. I couldn't stop thinking about (Y/n) and what she's been through. Later on in the afternoon she came over and visited. We played a few games and soon after she left. Eventually it became late and I talked with (Y/n) while we sat at our windows and soon after we both went to bed.
