3rd Person P.O.V.

It is officially the last day of 2018. (Y/n) was in bed when her phone began obnoxiously ringing. "Ugh! Find fine, I'm up." She groaned as she sat up patting her night stand for her phone. "Hello this is (y/n) (l/n), please tell me that this is important in some way shape or form or so I may hang up the phone. " "What a way to great your boyfriend." Devan said cheekily from the other end. "Yes but this is the same boyfriend who just woke me up from my peaceful sleep." ( Y/n) retorted. Devan laughed. "Well it's the last day of 2018." "Yes, I'm very aware Devan." "Good. Well get dressed and wear something casual but kind of dressy." "Why?" (Y/n) groaned slightly. "Because we're going on an adventure also we're going out for breakfast." 

"Alright, alright. Just give me about thirty minutes so I can get dressed and ready." (Y/n) said. "Alright, see you in a few (y/n/n)!" "Bye Dev." (Y/n) quickly hopped out of bed. She quickly did her bed. "Dressy casual? What could we possibly be doing?" ( Y/n) mumbled to herself. She decided on some pants and a (y/f/c) blouse with a suit jacket. She grabbed her phone after finishing her morning routine and stumbled down the stairs. (Y/n) quickly made her way to Devan's house. "Making me wake up early..." She mumbled slightly irked because of the time. 

She knocked on the door that was opened by Mrs. Key. "Hey, Mrs. Key! How are you?" "I'm good how about you (Y/n)?" She asked inviting her in. "Tired." She said stifling a yawn, she laughed. "You excited for what Devan's got planned for today?" She asked cheerily. "Yeah, even though I have no idea what it is." (Y/n) replied. Mrs. Key smiled knowingly, fully knowing what Devan had planned for the day, seeing that she helped in executing it as well. (Y/n) say in the couch in the living room waiting for Devan to come down.

"You ready?" He asked . "Most definitely. This girl refuses to do anything else on an empty stomach." ( Y/n) declared jokingly. Devan shook his head as he chuckled bidding his mom good bye. "Alright so where are we headed?" " to neverland! " Devan shouted, quickly grabbing (y/n)'s hand and running as he laughed.

Eventually they arrived at a local diner. "Breakfast!" ( Y/n) shouted gleefully running inside. Devan laughed following her in. A kind waitress took their orders and within a short period of time came back with their meals. (Y/n) ordered waffles and Devan ordered pancakes. They talked about random things until the were both finished. Just as Devan was about to pay (y/n) objected. "Nope. Not happening. you later last time." She said pulling out her wallet. " and you paid the time before. " he argued with a smirk. The two continued to bicker until (y/n) finally came up with a solution. "How about we go Dutch." " Fine, but I'll get you back for this. " Devan said.

As they walked out of the diner they walked to a nearby park. "So what's the plan for today, Dev." " Well, it's a surprise. But if you couldn't tell, at the moment we're going to the park. "Wait... are we headed...." They stopped in front of an area full of trees that was pretty secluded. "This is where we had our third date." Devan said turning to her with a smile. (Y/n) smiled fondly remembering them walking. "This is when you made me the happiest person on this planet and said yes to becoming my girlfriend." He said wrapping his arms around her shoulder as they bout reminisced on a date that happened not too long ago.

They messed around for a while before Devan decided it was time to go to their next destination. "The pier." ( Y/n) breathed out with a bright smile. "Yup." They strolled down the pier talking about random things. This was his the day continued. Devan taking ( y/n) to places they've been on dates, the mall where he ran around in an Elsa costume, and places that were just special to the two of them.

When they made it back home it was just about time for the Key's New Year's Eve party. Everyone was gathered in the house hanging out reminiscing and watching the tv as they broadcasted new years from different parts of the world. Everyone enjoyed their time, reminiscing over the best, worst, and funniest moments of 2018. Everyone went outside as they were getting ready to realise their fireworks. "You know, babe. I'm most grateful for you this year." Devan said side hugging (y/n).

"I am too." ( Y/n) said softly. Devan pulled something out as they were two minutes away. "I know it's a little late but here's the other part of your Christmas gift." He said with a smile. ( Y/n) hesitantly opened it up and her eyes glazed over with tears when she saw what it was. "You are the key to my heart (y/n), as cheesy as it sounds. you over all make me a better person and as we go into the new year I want you to be wearing this as a reminder that you and only you own my heart." Devan said.

He got her a heart necklace that had a key hole in the middle. (Y/n) smiled for the bazillionth time that day. She pulled him in a quick hug changing thank you over and over again. As they released he put it on her neck. "TEN! NINE! EIGHT! SEVEN!" Devan pulled ( y/n) close to himself. "SIX!FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" Just before they shouted one he crashed his lips onto ( y/n)'s just as the fireworks went off in the background. It was soft and sweet and it reciprocated all the love they had for each other.

As they separated they both smiled. "Happy New Year Dev." "Happy New Year (y/n/n)."

Happy New year's eve everyone! Sorry for the delay I was super busy today because my sister got her wisdom teeth removed. Please please please remember to comment what you want my next book to be the options are in the last chapter but here they are again.
