A/N: This chapter will deal with self harm, drugs, broken hearts, and depression.

Mount Justice.

After the invasion on the cave, everyone was rattled. Everyone was fine, except for Wally and Dick.
Wally had stayed by Dick's bedside the whole time until he woke up three hours later after the attack. Once Dick's eyes met Wally's, Wally knew something was wrong.

"Rob, what's wrong?" questioned Wally. At first Dick didn't answer and turned his head away from Wally as tears filled up in his eyes. His body then began to shake as he sobbed into his arms. Wally got up and was about to wrap Robin within his arms but he was shoved backwards. Wally's green eyes widen, "What was going on?" he thought.

"Dick-'' said Wally but stopped talking when Dick pushed himself up in a sitting position. Dick looked down at his shaking hands, then his eyes drifted over to his now bandage arm from the burn. Dick bit the bottom of his lip and slowly looked up at Wally behind his mask.

'Wally, I-I can't do this anymore.' Dick signed. Wally didn't know what he meant but he feared the worst, so he moved in closer towards Dick but he held his hand up to stop him from getting too close to him.

"What are you talking about Dick? You're scaring me here. Talk to me.'' said Wally. His eyes scan the boy's face, he could see how upset and conflicted Dick was. Wally sighed and sat down, waiting for Dick to explain all of this.

'I...we can't be together anymore.' Dick sign quickly then lowered his head, for he couldn't dare look at Wally's broken face.

"Wh-what?" questioned Wally, he felt like he couldn't breathe, he didn't understand what was going on here. Maybe Batman found out and forbid it, Wally didn't know. "But Dick-" said Wally but was cut off by Robin.

'It's has nothing to do with loving you, Wally. I do love you, more than anything and that's the problem. We can't afford to be weak and distracted by each other when we are on a mission or in danger. Look at what happened a few hours ago here. We were attacked and all I could truly think about was us, you and me. That's....it can't be that way. I should have been fully focused on the team and defeating the enemy at any cost! And I know you were so worried about me, I know that you tried your hardest to vibrate through that material but Wally... You could have seriously been hurt...Because of Me! I can't...I can't see you or anyone be hurt because of me, i'm not worth it. You and I...we can't be together. I care about you so much, that I have to push you away. I'm sorry Walls. I'm so sorry!' Dick sign. Now he buried his head within his hands and he cried. Wally was shell shocked, he had no idea what to say or do right now. He tried to reach out and touch Dick but he moved away from him. Wally lowered his head, tears forming in his green eyes, blurring his vision. 
He then moved forward quickly, gently pressing his lips to Dick's forehead. He held still for a few seconds, his eyes closed as tears slip out and traveled down his face. Dick could feel Wally shaking against him and that just made Dick cry even more so. Wally then pulled away and all the heat in the world seemed to be gone. Dick looked up quickly at Wally, he desperately wanted to pulled Wally back done and to kiss him, to be held within Wally's arms but he couldn't. He couldn't risk Wally becoming distracted on any missions, putting his life before the team's, the mission, the world or even before Wally's own life. Dick knew that he didn't matter, that he was nothing and Wally shouldn't be trying to save him by destroying everything else. He wasn't worth it. Wally was so perfect, and Dick wasn't. He was never good enough for Wally, and he never would be. Dick inhaled sharply as he saw the love of his life walk away from him, heart broken. Wally pushed the door open and stood there for a moment, his head lowered. he then turned around quickly, looking back at the person he loved the most. 

"I love you Dick'' said Wally and then he turn and left Robin all alone. As the door clicked shut, Dick jumped. His heart was shattered beyond repair and he knew Wally's has broken as well, because of him. Dick looked around the room and then his eyes drifted up to the camera. He got up quickly and disabled the camera, so no one could see what he was going to do next. 

He walked around slowly, his eyes scanning the room for anything that could hurt him more than the hurt he was feeling on the inside. ''I did this, I did all of this, I shouldn't be allowed to get some release. But I...I need to hurt more, because I hurt him. I'm worthless!" thought Dick. He found some pills, not enough to kill him but enough to knock him out for a bit, possibly a small over dose but that's it. He then found a scalpel and smiled a bit and more tears ran down his face. He walked slowly towards the bed and sat down. He quickly swallowed the small handful of pills and then pulled his sleeves up and brought the scalpel down upon his wrist. He looked over his past scars and he closed his eyes, his body was shaking once again. In his mind he could see the hurt all over Wally's face. He had hurt his best friend, the person in the whole wide world that knew him better than he knew himself. Dick couldn't handle it, so he pressed down heavily and then slowly drew the blade backwards, still adding pressure to it so the cut was somewhat deep. After the first cut, he continued to cut until he felt dizzy, maybe it was from cutting or the pills, he didn't know. He sat the blade down and looked down at his wrist, none of the cuts he just made were deep enough to kill him, but just enough to punish himself for what he did to Wally. Dick laid down on the bed and allowed to the darkness in the corners of his eyes to take him whole.

It has been three days since the Mountain was attacked by the red robots. It has also been that long since Wally and Dick last spoke to each other. Wally hadn't even seen Robin since he broke his heart. Wally knew that Dick was son quickly taken back to the Batcave after they broken up. Black Canary pulled Wally to the side, telling him that Dick had relapsed again, that he cut and took a handful of pills but that he was going to be fine in a day or so.
After hearing that, Wally's first instinct was to run over to Dick and to wrap the small boy wonder within his arms but he had to stop himself, Dick didn't want to be with him, they were broken up.

Wally soon saw Dick again but he didn't look at him at all. The team sat around while the League slowly rebuilt the cave. 
Oliver, a.k.a. Green Arrow walked over and sat a bowl of food in front of Wally. Wally shocked his head and looked sadly at the table. The team wanted answers about what happened here at the mountain, they wanted to know about Red Tornado and his siblings. 
Wally after a bit started to eat, he still felt terrible but he hoped that maybe eating would make him feel somewhat better, he really liked food.

Off in the distance, Batman was talking with Aqualad.
Just then, Superboy yelled and rushed over towards them, slamming Aqualad against the wall of the cave. M'gann quickly got up and went over towards them, the rest of the team standing by in shock. Superboy then revealed that Kaldur knew something about a traitor among the team and he didn't say anything to any of them. 

"You knew?" voiced Robin's wrist computer.
"What?! You didn't tell us? Why?!" said Kid Flash. Everyone was now looking at Aqualad for answers. Wally sighed, he was so upset by this, Dick almost died. Then Wally stopped. He then glanced over at Robin, maybe Dick was correct. Maybe them being together wasn't what was best for the team. His first thought after learning about a mole on the team went straight to Dick. He was worried about him when the cave was attacked. But M'gann almost died as well, hell they all could have been killed but he didn't think about himself or the team, he just thought about Dick. Wally sighed.

"I wanted to protect the team from--" began Kaldur but Artemis stepped forward and yelled at him. Wally watched the green archer, she was very upset, as were they all. But before this all could get out of hand, Batman stepped forward, his eyes narrowing.

"Enough.'' said Batman and that was enough to get everyone to stop and take a step back. "Red Tornado is a member of the Justice League, all of you will not pursue this, he is a League responsibility.''

"But Batman..." began Artemis but shut up quickly when he moved his glare onto her instead of the whole group. 

"The team has an assignment." said Batman. Soon, pictures came up on the holo screen before them all. They all looked them over and read some of the articles of information. Robin then stepped forward, gaining a look from Wally.

"Batman, please!" voiced Robin's computer. Wally looked at Robin than at Batman, Dick never really ever questioned Batman. He was always quite and remain Bruce's perfect solider. This was a change for both Robin and Dick. "Tell me, you're not sending us on this joke of a mission."

Batman walked over and stood right in front of Robin. He bent down slightly, looking directly at Robin. His eyes narrowed and he looked beyond mad at Robin, everyone felt shivers run down their spines. "I never joke about the mission'' Batman said harshly to Robin. Wally could see Robin's mask eyes wide and then he quickly lowered his head, not looking at Batman or anyone else. "Aqualad, you and your team will check this out. Now go.'' said Batman dismissing everyone. Wally walked forward but didn't miss what happened next. He looked over his shoulder at Batman and Robin. 

Batman was close to Robin's face once more and you could see the anger rolling off of him in waves. "You and I will have a discussing about this after your mission, do I make myself clear?" said Batman. Dick then nodded his head but didn't look up at Bruce. Batman then stood up and walked away from Robin. Robin then rushed off with the others, rushing past Wally. As he rushed past him, Dick looked over at Wally but he didn't stop. Wally sighed and followed the team.

Northern India.

9:38 PM.

The bioship landed on the ground. Robin quickly moved within the shadows then signaled to the team that it was all clear.
Aqualad then tried to give orders but both Robin and Kid Flash weren't having it. Wally had noticed that Dick had been more on edge lately, snapping at things that before he would have remain silent about. Wally could only guess this new side of Robin was due to their break up. Wally sighed and closed his eyes for a second, everything seemed to be out of control and following apart right before them. 
He and Dick broke up, Red Tornado attacked them, and Aqualad lied to the team, he clearly didn't trust them at all.

Both Kid Flash and Robin turned to walk away from Aqualad and the team, stating that they knew what to do. Aqualad stepped forward, trying to stop them to maybe reason with them.
"Kid, Robin...'' said Aqualad. They both turned around to face their so called team leader. But before Kaldur could say anything, Robin typed on his wrist computer with anger glowing within his masked eyes.

"The three of us started this team! You should have trusted us, trusted us enough to tell us about the mole!'' voiced Robin's computer then he turned around and left quickly, with Kid Flash following behind.

Robin soon fell behind and allowed Kid Flash to lead the way, for he was distracted by his thoughts and emotions to lead them and Kid Flash knew this too. He looked sadly at his best friend and ex boyfriend. He still loved Dick so much and knew that Dick felt the same way but he just couldn't for some reason allow himself to be happy, even for a little bit.

Just as they were looking around they both heard screeching and turned around quickly. Vultures soon descended upon them, trying to grab them. Wally quickly moved away as Robin ducked down.

"Thought vultures only ate dead meat?'' voiced Robin's computer as he grabbed a few bird-arnags, ready to throw them. "I mean, I'm dead inside but still'' thought Dick as he threw his bird=arangs near the birds in the sky. He then ran, following Kid Flash.  As they ran Robin continued to think, his mind working super fast.

"They are super-sized. Kobra-venom maybe?" questioned Robin's computer. 
"Yeah maybe.'' said Kid Flash.

The Vultures continued their attack on them. At one point one almost grabbed a hold of Robin. But he moved out of the way and fell to the ground hard. Wally was about to run over to him, to pull him to safety but Robin held his hand out stopping him. He could tell that Robin wanted him focused on the mission and himself, not about him. Robin wanted Kid Flash and everyone else forget about him, that he wasn't important. Seeing that look sadden Wally but he decided to listen, because if he didn't then he may never get the chance to get Robin back. He nodded his head and ran off with the birds following him at their top speed.
After fighting with the vultures, Kid Flash made his way back towards Robin to see him pushing himself off the ground and weakly standing on his left foot.

'Twisted ankle' Robin signed but shock his head, he didn't need any help, he was alright. Wally just huffed. "Man this is going to take forever for Dick to realize that it is okay to have others worry about him, the he is important and needed like everyone else. That it is okay to be loved and to love someone, to have that person on your mind. That no matter what that person cares about you. That I care about him." thought Wally. They have done so many other missions before they were together and Dick was always on his mind. Them being together didn't chance that, and he wished he could just simply tell Dick this, but Dick being Dick put his walls up and shoved everyone and thing back. 

Just then they both heard M'gann's voice in their heads. The whole team was linked up. 

"Listen...'' said Aqualad but was interrupted by both Artemis and Kid Flash making comments. Robin shoved Wally to shut him up as he spoke through the mind link. Wally always smiled when he heard Dick speak in the mind link, it was his voice and he couldn't love the sound of it anymore than when Dick whispered to him sometimes.

"Kaldur, K.F. and I were attacked by super-sized vultures. But of course, since you believe we are mole, you probably think we attacked ourselves.'' said Robin. Wally smirked and shocked his head. Aqualad stayed silent the whole time while Artemis, Miss Martian, Robin and Kid Flash talked through the mind link.

"Did he really think you or I could have been the mole? That everything was a lie?" asked Kid Flash.
"We've known each other for years! How could all of that be a lie? How could we trust one another when the other person who was your friend, doesn't trust you? Were we ever his friends? Did he ever like us or trust us?" questioned Robin and everyone could hear the hurt within his voice. Finally after awhile  Kaldur spoke, trying to keep order within the team.

"Enough'' said Aqualad, "Captain Marvel has been taken and we now must act as a team to rescue him."

"Hmph. Under your leadership, I think not. You don't trust us, how can we follow you?" said Kid Flash. 
Aqualad then angrily replied to Kid Flash statement and everyone's thoughts. He was the leader of the team and as long as he was, he was going to lead them and do the mission.
"This is not up for debate! You all chose me to lead, and that is what I will do. Now after this mission if you all wish to chose a new leader then I will step down but for now you must follow me. Now listen, I am in command here!"

Everyone soon regrouped and followed Aqualad's orders. They all soon came to a building in the center of the jungle. Inside they figured was where Captain Marvel was being held at. Just as they all soon gained access to the building, alarms soon went off and monkeys jumped down and began to attack them. They soon defeated them and began to attack Mallah and The Brain. 

Suddenly, all the lights went off it the building, everyone took their fighting stance and prepared to be attacked, but once the lights came back on, both Mallah and The Brian were gone. 

"Their gone.'' voiced Robin's wrist computer.

The team all made their way to the bio-ship, Conner with a new pet following behind. Wally who was standing near Conner and M'gann heard their conversation and thought it might be good to tell Robin exactly what M'gann told Conner, that it is sweet how protective he is but on a mission they are teammates not in a relationship, Dick would always be the love of his life and if Dick thought that them being heroes would hurt each other then they needed to make it clear with one another. That they were together but on missions they were just strictly teammates and not boyfriends.

As everyone was talking. Robin stood alone at the entrace of the Bio-ship. Kaldur sighed and walked over towards the boy wonder.

"Listen, I just need to know something.'' voiced Robin's wrist computer quietly, so only the two of them could hear it. "Why did you keep the mole intel a secret? A secret from me?"

Aqualad turned around and faced everyone, making Robin move backwards, trying not to stand in everyone view.

"I didn't want to alert said traitor that I was on to him or her. The tip came from Sportsmaster, which whom I do not trust. But even though it seemed unlikely, as leader I had to think about the possibility of a mole within the team, so I stayed quiet.'' said Aqualad, "I can still step down from leader if you all wish it so.''

"It makes sense and no we don't want you to step down as our leader.'' said Robin's wrist computer. Robin then smiled at Kaldur who nodded his head. They all then headed home to the cave.

After the debriefing about the mission Wally raced down towards Dick's room, he knocked once and then entered to find the boy wonder sitting on his bed, his legs crossed under him. 

"Hey Dick, do you got a sec? I really need to talk to you about something.'' said Wally as he walked closer towards Robin. Robin just shrugged his shoulders. Wally walked over and stood right in front of him. He reached his hand back to rub the back of his neck. He was thinking about this the whole time on the flight back to the mountain but now standing in Dick's room he couldn't seem to piece it all together.

"I-I umm....I was thinking... that umm'' began Wally.
'Spit it out K.F.' signed Dick and Wally sighed.

"I was thinking about what M'gann said to Conner earlier on the mission tonight. That they are together but...on mission they are teammates. And it got me thinking about us and our situation and I was wondering that maybe... maybe you and I could... I don't know try it also. Or... mmuph" said Wally but was cut off by Robin leaning forward and kissing him on the lips. Wally then pulled back away from Robin, his eyes wide with shock.

"I-I I..." stuttered Wally, foe he had no idea what to say.

'Wally, I do love you and that is an amazing idea, but...it still doesn't change everything. I know you've always kept an eye on me during missions and I am so grateful for that but I can't risk your life for mine. I'm not worth it and before you tell me that I am I need you to understand that I feel worthless, useless. I feel dead inside. I feel like no matter what I do I will never be good enough for you or anyone. I need....I need to figure myself out first before I can ever start to be truly happy. You make me happy Wally, you make everything so much better but I can't always lean on you, I gotta to figure out how to stand on my own two feet. I love you Wally, I love you so much but right now we can't be together, I need space. I need to heal and I need to see what you and everyone else sees in me. I don't know how long but...' signed Dick but was stopped when Wally jumped on top of him and kissed him.

They continued to kiss and kiss, their kisses growing deeper. Wally's hands began roaming Dick's body. Dick moan slightly within Wally's mouth and he pulled back. Wally was still pressed against Dick, his body on top of Dick's body. Wally smiled down at him. He loved Robin so much. He nodded his head. He understood what Dick had said and he was going to respect it, respect him and give him some space and time to figure everything out. He then moved downwards and kissed Dick on last time on his lips before running out of Dick's room.
Once outside, Wally pressed his back against the wall, catching his breath. He just now hoped that it didn't take Dick forever to learn to love himself and to see his own worth. Wally sighed and headed home to his aunt Iris and uncle Barry, for he really needed to rant to someone about Dick and himself.

Finally alone in his room, Dick felt terrible. He was still completely in love with Wally and Wally was the same with him but they just couldn't be together not yet. Just then his com in his ear buzzed and he heard Batman ordering him to the Batcave. Dick sighed and got up to leave, not knowing that everything was going to change in a few minutes.
