Amber looked down. They had been stuck in the basement for an hour now. The sounds had stopped since they all got downstairs. Merrill then came and sat by her.

"Are you okay? I know that seems a dumb question right now, but I just...," he put his arm around her, "...I just want to comfort you."

She looked up at him, "I-I'm just...worried. I...I never fought against anyone powerful than a criminal before." Her lips quiver. "How did my father did it? He had no powers and yet survived." She dropped her head tearing up.

Merrill hugged her and gently held her head against his chest, "you're stronger than you think, you just have to believe in yourself, big bird," he then gently held her face and looked down into her eyes, "remember how afraid you were when your parents first brought you here? But you're strong. This is...this is your fate...right? There's no way you can't beat these guys. You're amazing."

She looked at him crying softly. "You believe in me, puppy?"

"Of course I do. We all do," he smiled slightly and kissed her nose.

She blushed. Her eyes glowed pink like when they were fooling around. He blushed seeing her glowing eyes.

He ducked his head slightly and looked up at her from beneath his dark lashes, "I love you," he said quietly, so the others wouldn't hear.

She took his hand and leaned close with her nose against his, "I love you too," she said softly.

He rubbed his nose against hers gently, her glowing eyes was making him hypnotized. He leaned to kiss her, but he noticed Bo and Morgan watching them.

"uh...no, you uh...definitely don't have something in your eye," he said loudly to try and cover himself. He leaned back and cleared his throat.

Graham chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"Were you going to kiss her?" Morgan blurted.

Merrill looked at Amber then at Morgan, "only to wish her good luck."

"yeah, but...on the lips?!"

"Do you love Aunt Amber, Uncle Merrill?" Bo asked.

Merrill couldn't speak. Or even answer.

Graham then chuckled, "I think they do, but maybe don't bother them, kids."

Morgan and Bo then sat each side of Graham and looked scared.

Merrill was finally calm. He crossed his legs since he and Amber were sitting on the floor like Graham and the kids.

Amber heard the sound of a ticking clock in her head. As if she was counting the hour, the minute, and the second for the 24 hour mark. She wasn't gonna let anyone hurt her family. Or this world. God definitely gave her grandmother's powers for a reason like her father said. And she believed it. She felt Merrill didn't believe in such God anymore when the parents left, especially him not going to church anymore with the rest of the family. She felt like he was fading away from it, much worse as Graham. She knew the kids never stop believing. And that's what made her happy.

Soon morning came. Amber had been awake the whole night. She then went to the door and opened it. She went upstairs but saw something in the the kitchen near the pantry.

Amber walked toward the creature carefully. Once she was right behind it she pushed it in the pantry and shut the door. It started growling and screeching inside. The noise woke up the brothers and the kids and came upstairs, "help me block the door!" Amber cried.

Merrill and Graham grabbed everything they could find and blocked the door. Soon the creature on the other side stopped.

"Is it the monster?" Bo asked scared.

"Maybe...," Amber whispered.

"We need to stay in the barn," Graham said. They grabbed Isabelle and locked the barn. They went to the loft in Merrill's room.

The 24 mark was close. Amber looked down, "I need to go. I'm sorry, I have to do this."

She got into where the pod was and put on her suit. Once she got out she noticed the brothers and kids there. Bo and Morgan were crying. She went to them hugged everyone. She then turned to Merrill and held his face. She then kissed him and he kissed her back. He held her tight as they kissed. She then broke the kiss and held his face, "no matter what happens, I will always love you, Merrill Hess." She then walked out the barn, but there, Xander the alien stood infront of her in the front yard.

"So...will you now surrender, daughter of Rumple Gold?"
