    Back at the farm, Merrill was pacing the room, hands clutching his head. He was trying to hold it together, but it was all too much for him to bear.

"Merrill, she'll be alright," Graham tried to reassure him.

Bo and Morgan ran to hug him.

"You have to have faith, uncle Merrill. Let's pray for her," Bo said.

When suddenly they heard something in the front door.

Morgan and Bo were now shaking. Graham got up and held Morgan. Merrill held Bo. The noises were scratching on the door. Then they stopped. They then heard footsteps on the roof. Suddenly the attic door broke and landed on the floor. It was too late to get in the basement now, there on the stairs crawling was some sort of figure. It looked human, but the face was disfigured.

"My gosh. It is real," Graham said.

Merrill looked at him confused.

"Whatever you do, don't let it touch you. Merrill, get the kids in the barn quick! And get the fire extinguisher!" Merrill nodded and took Morgan and they ran into the barn.

They ran as fast as they could and just reached the barn in time. He and Graham then began to barricade the door with whatever they could find.

Suddenly the door broke through and the figure stood before Merrill and he stood in shock. "MERRILL BLAST IT!"Graham yelled at his brother since he gave him the candle.

But Merrill didn't move. He was shaking, but Graham saved him by holding his candle at it. The Thing backed away scared.

Merrill was still in shock, but he tried to snap himself out of it.

"Can't you burn it Graham. Throw the candle at it" he said as he held the fire extinguisher.

"I need Gasoline on him." He said.

Merrill quickly looked around and found a can of gasoline. He then ran towards the thing and threw the gasoline over it.

"Now Graham!" he yelled.

He then threw the candle and it blew up as it screamed. Luckily Merrill ran back before the explosion.

As the thing flailed around screaming, Merrill held the fire extinguisher in case it set anything else on fire in the barn.

Finally the Thing fell face down and Merrill sprayed it.

Graham looked down. "It's crisp now, it better not have survived that."

"How did you know what it's weakness was?"

"Dad's book. Come on." He lead him down in the cellar of the barn and opened the drawer to show him the book. He flipped the pages which showed different aliens their father may have seen in his past life. He stopped at the page that the year was dated 1982, "here, right here. He said it's called the Thing. It's extremely dangerous. Maybe even dangerous than Xander. Anything it touches it takes that form and mimics it. The original host would be long gone. It acts like a parasite. For when I saw it come down the stairs...it looked like it caught one of Officer Paski's partners."

Merrill shivered. He had to sit down. "Dad came contact with that!? How did he survive?"

"Well...Amber's father knew our dad. I think it has to do with her father of how he survived."

Merrill sighed and ran a hand over his face, "this is all a lot to take in."

"Maybe...maybe Amber's family is like...remember your Superman comic? Of how Clark came to earth? This is weird, but, I think it's true. We have a real life Supergirl...Wonder Woman, or Martian Girl in the real world." Graham said, "it was hard for me to believe it."

"Dad?" Bo came down with Morgan, but stopped once they saw the pod.

"Woe," the kids said in amazement.

"Is this what Aunt Amber came in when she was a baby?"

"No," Graham said, "Your grandfather found this in Antartica."

"In Antartica!?" Morgan gasped.

"So it's not Aunt Amber's."

"No, it belonged to another alien." He looked in the book, "he believes it belonged to The Thing."

Merrill made a face of disgust, "hey kids....stay away from that thing. You don't want to be anywhere near something that creature came in."

"Uh...Merrill, if it was a bad thing, I don't think we would be here. So I think they are safe."

Morgan accidentally opens the pod and found Amber's box.

"Treasure!?" Bo gasped.

"Uh...kids, that's actually...," before Merrill and Graham could stop them they opened and found the marble. "Don't LOSE THAT!!" Graham panicked.

"It's just a marble," Morgan said.

"It's not just a marble Morgan. According to your grandfather, it's a very powerful alien marble."

"Wow!" Bo gasped.

Merrill went to Morgan and took the marble from him "I better take that, buddy. Just in case. Then if I lose it, Amber will be mad at me, not you," he ruffled his hair.

Graham grabbed it from Merrill, "you just want to make her happy so she kissed you to show her you kept her stuff safe."

"Uncle Merrill loves Aunt Amber?" Bo gasped.

Merrill blushed," of course I love her....she's family. And actually Graham, I was just trying to keep the kids safe. If that marble is such a powerful alien thing, who knows what it could do."

"No...you love her more than family," Morgan smirked.

"Are you and Aunt Amber gonna get married, Uncle Merrill?" Bo asked.

Merrill blushed but chuckled, "Bo, you just want to be a bridesmaid...."

"I want to be a flower girl, but also I want cousins."

"......well, sure you can be a flower girl IF we get married. And maybe you'll have cousins someday, if that's what aunt Amber wants."

"I am sure that's what she wants," Graham smirked.

Merrill turned to him and shook his head at his brother annoyed.

"Can I be the ring bearer?" Morgan asked.

Merrill covered his face with his hand and groaned slightly "...fine, of course you can be a ring bearer, Morgan. But I'll bet you won't want cousins. I mean, you know the way babies are made, right? totally gross huh."

"I mean if you love her. Do you Uncle Merrill?" Morgan asked. "Dad told us she...she is still family...but she isn't your sister."

"It's true she isn't family by blood. She just came to live with us when we were all kids. So it's not wrong, just maybe a little weird for you guys," Merrill said feeling awkward, "But I do love her....more than a sister."

"I knew it!" Morgan cheered.

"Morgan!" Graham snapped.

"...sorry," Morgan blushed.

"Does Aunt Amber love you more than you being her brother?" Bo asked coming to him.

Merrill blushed and smiled, "actually...yeah, she does."

Bo smiled and hugged him. She then kissed his cheek. Merrill kissed the top of her head as he hugged her back.
