The team stepped through the airlock, and within, there was another steel door that leads inside the base. Then the airlock closes, making it dark in the small chamber. However, the steel door that leads into the base opened and everyone can see how dark the hall is, save for the soft glowing lights at the edges on the floor that provides a bit of light. Each of them turned on their built in flashlights to light their way, but the yellow lines on Nuribs armored space suit glowed.

"I got a question for you: what is your armored space suit made out of?" Asked Christine.

"It's made of carbon titanium alloy, so it is as hard as diamonds. The researchers of my kind created this type of lightweight alloy to protect against the crushing gravitational pull and blasters, but I will not tell you on how they combine carbon with titanium in the making for these space suits" Nurib answered.

"For John, Valerie, and me. Our space suits are made from the standard issue titanium steel alloy, it's lightweight and offers some protection" she explains.

"I guess both of our races are good at making alloys" he remarked.

"Ok, you two. We have to stay together, so who knows what lurks in the darkness" said John.

Nurib and Christine both nodded, as they followed John. However, Nuribs feet felt cold as he walked on the metal floor, but he kept his pistol close in case if something jumps at him. When the team entered a room, they saw a couple of corpses on the ground that wore hazmat suits.

"Sheesh! Whatever done this to them must be a maniac!" John said as he felt disgusted.

Nurib came to one corpse and took off the helmet, and he gasped in shock that it was a human who died screaming. Upon further inspection, it looked like some creature must have drained his blood to the point that he's but a dried husk.

"We're dealing with a bloodsucking creature" said Nurib.

"Like a vampire? I thought vampires only exist in books" said Valerie.

"I don't know this "vampire" you speak of, but it could have been an alien creature or parasite with a thirst for blood" he said as he felt scared.

Whatever it was, it sent shivers down the team's spine as they don't know who or what they're dealing with. Nevertheless, they pressed onwards deep into the pitch black facility to explore. Unfortunately, they weren't alone as something was lurking in the shadows, biding it's time for an easy prey. The team walked to the right hallway, but Nurib strayed into the left hall. He looked around while waving his flashlight to see where he's at, but he felt vibrations coming from behind him.

"Who's there!?" He asked as he turned around.

After spending two minutes of staring into the darkness, he turned around and continued walking. Then, out of nowhere, a tentacle wrapped around his right ankle and pulled thus causing him to fall. He flipped himself over and shine his flashlight, his yellow glowing eyes traced the tentacle to where the creature is and gasped in fear. The creature has shiny black eyes, two tentacles, and shining sharp fangs that listened into the light of the flashlight. He couldn't see the rest of the creature, but he knew that he walked into its trap and he's nothing but prey. Then the creature slowly pulled him towards it, as it wanted to suck his blood for nourishment. However, it gave him time to try out the plasma pistol. He immediately fired plasma orbs at it, screaming in a mix between fear and desperate for survival. The creature snarled, as the plasma orbs bounced off harmlessly. He looked at the plasma pistol, wondering it's defective or if it's not intended for combat.

"What is wrong with this pistol!?" He asked in a fearful tone, before throwing it at the creature.

The plasma pistol hit the creature in the head, thus releasing him from its tentacle hold. Instead of running away like any horror movie character, he immediately ran towards the creature before punching it in the face. Then it spat some type of adhesive fluid at his helmet, so he immediately took off his helmet.

"Now you know who I am! I am an Aureum, the strongest race in the galaxy!" He boasted.

The creature lunged at him, and bit him at his bare foot. He cried out in pain before stomping his right foot on it's head, caving it's skull in. He kept stomping it until it moved no more, but he felt a mix between fury and madness as he twitched his left eye.

"Yeah! How does my feet smell!?" He yelled.

Luckily, three of his teammates rushed in to see what was going on.

"What is going on!?" John demanded.

"What... is... that... cresture!?" Gasped Valerie, as she felt scared looking at the corpse of the creature.

"It must be the same one who killed the workers, drained their blood to satisfy it's hunger. It attacked me the moment that I strayed from you all, with intent on draining my blood. I tried to use my plasma pistol, but it proved to be ineffective. I threw the pistol at the creature, and it stunned it and released its hold on me. After that, I fought back. First I punched it, then I killed it by stomping my right foot over and over until it doesn't move no more" Nurib explained.

Everyone can see that his yellow glowing eyes are bloodshot, thus telling them that he's slowly driven insane. Christine looked at his left foot, and she saw bite marks at the top and bottom of his foot. The bite marks breached through the skin, causing reddish orange blood to come out (It's true that the Aureum blood is reddish orange).

"You're bleeding!" Christine pointed out.

"Yeah, the creature bit me at my left foot. I forgot to project a barrier to protect my feet, since I am barefoot" Nurib said.

Valerie picked up a roll of gauze and bend down, Nurib lifted his left foot so she can wrap the gauze around it to stop the bleeding.

"How does your other foot feel?" She asked.

"It aches, from where I was stomping the creature to death" he replied.

"I hope you're not infected with that creature bite, I couldn't deal with an alien vampire in this team" said John.

"Again, what is this "vampire" you speak of?" Asked Nurib.

"Nevermind you guys, I need to run some test on this creature. To see if it does infect people with its bite, and come up with a cure" said Christine.
