-THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS CLAUSTROPHOBIA AND SLIGHT PANIC ATTACK SO IF THAT TRIGGERS YOU, I WILL PUT A **** WHEN IT STARTS AND ENDS-

"Yukimura!" Coach Finstock screamed as he sped down the hall after Melanie. She quickly stopped walking, turning to her Coach with a worried look. "Everything all right, Coach?"

The man nodded his head. "Yes. Yes. Look, for your jersey, since you and your sister are both on the team-" "Kira joined lacrosse?" Melanie interrupted and Coach leaned back a bit, his face scrunched. "She didn't tell you?" Melanie pursed her lips and shook her head.

Coach sighed, shaking his head. "That's not my problem. The reason I need to talk to you is... We both know I won't be able to know who's who on the field when you two have the same last name on the back so I changed your jersey." He said, tossing Melanie her new jersey.

Melanie furrowed her brows, looking up at the man. "But that's what the numbers are for..." Coach laughed, patting Melanies shoulder. "Oh... you're a funny one." He left the girl alone in the hallway.

Melanie looked down at her jersey, opening it up to see what was changed and she immediately smiled. Right above the big 4 on her jersey, instead of her last name was 'Mel'.

Melanie chuckled, folding the jersey back up and resting it on her arm when she heard a "psst" a few feet away.

She slowly looked up. Derek Hale stood, peaking his head out the door of the boys locker room, motioning her inside. Melanie looked at him weirdly, following after him anyway.

"Can I help you?" Melanie asked as Derek sighed, looking at her with an annoyed expression. "You can heal people, right?" Melanie squinted at him, nodding her head. "Duh."

Derek rolled his eyes and grabbed onto her shoulders. He opened a random locker and pushed her inside. "What the hell, Derek?!" Melanie screamed as he shut the locker, locking her inside.

"The new beta. Scott says he has anger issues. I wanted to test them out. Now, you can't tell anyone this but my healing hasn't been the greatest after I got turned young so you'll be hiding in here and if I get too injured, you'll have to heal me."

Melanie sighed, nodding her head even though Derek couldn't see her. "Fine. How long his this gonna take? I kinda... freak out closed spaces..." Melanie muttered as her breathing grew uneven before Derek punched the locker she was in, making her yelp as the locker room door opened and Melanie quickly shut up.

****

Melanie heard someone walk in and quickly went on her tippy toes to look out the little holes of the locker but she couldn't see anyone yet.

"What the hell? Where's my stick?" Melanie heard Liam's voice from behind her before she heard the sound of a lacrosse sticking hitting lockers.

Suddenly, Melanie could see Liam on the right side of the locker she was in. "Is this yours?" Derek asked and Melanie could hear the smirk on his face before hearing the sound of the stick breaking and she could see the broken stick get thrown at Liam.

Melanie's breathing worsened when Liam's eyes turned yellow and he glared at Derek. Her lungs couldn't keep up with her body as she started to grow lightheaded, pushing against the sides of the locker as if it would open up more space for her.

Liam went running for Derek but the man quickly grabbed onto the freshman, pinning him against the lockers across from Melanie.

"Liam." Scott's voice called out and he suddenly appeared in Melanie's line of sight. She watched as Liam visibly calmed down but it didn't help her, still hating the trapped feeling of being in the locker and the amount of air she's lost trying to catch her breath made her start to grow dizzy.

"You're right. He is angry." Derek said, letting Liam go as Scott lifted up a lacrosse stick. "This one's yours." He tossed it to Liam who instantly caught it. The bell rang and Scott nodded. "Get to class, Liam."

Before Liam could get out of the locker room. Melanie's breathing started to grow even worse, the three werewolves finally hearing her as she banged on the locker door. "Let me out! I can't... I can't breathe." Melanie muttered and Derek cursed under his breath, practically running to the locker Melanie was in and opened the door for her.

The girl was barely conscious as she started to fall out of the locker but Derek quickly caught her. "I told you I can't be in there for long." Melanie mumbled as Scott and Liam walked closer to the two.

Derek shrugged. "I thought you were over exaggerating. You do that a lot." He let go of Melanie but she still wasn't fully okay and started to fall again, this time, Liam caught her.

****

"Liam. Get her some fresh air." Scott said and Melanie let out a 'hmph' noise and Liam nodded, letting her put almost all her weight on him as they walked outside of the school.

Liam carefully sat her down on the grass, letting her slump against a tree as he slowly sat beside her. "Are you... Are you okay?" Liam asked quietly and Melanie gave him a soft smile, nodding her head as she started to feel better.

"Why were you in there anyway?" Liam asked as Melanie rested her head on the tree. "Incase I needed to heal someone." Liams brows furrowed. "What?"

Melanie turned her head to face him. "That's the kind of thing I can do. A Mori Kitsune are natural healers, can control nature and can make things that aren't really there appear. Being a healer also means I can... you know... heal people, but it makes me take longer to heal than other kitsunes."

Liam expression grew even more confused as he turned his whole body to face her. "Wait what?"

Melanie smirked, turning to face him, their knees touching from them sitting criss cross in front of each other.

"First of all..." Melanie said before make her eyes glow their green, catching Liam off guard, making her laugh.

She quickly straightened up and put her hands out. "Gimme your hand." Melanie mumbled and Liam just looked at her, not doing anything. Melanie raised her eyebrows. "Your hand please?"

Liam shook his head as if he was waking himself up from a daydream and gave Melanie his hand. She sighed, closing her eyes and tilting her head up slightly. "Now... What's something you've always wanted?" She asked and Liam answered almost immediately as if he didn't even think before talking. "A girlfriend."

Melanie let out a little snort, opening on eye to look at Liam. "I meant an object."

Liams eyes grew wide as his face heated up in embarrassment. "Uh... Um..." Liam stuttered and Melanie shook her head, sighing. "You're taking too long. Nevermind."

Melanie shut her eyes tighter, thinking of two stuffed animals; a werewolf and a fox and after a few seconds, she heard Liam gasp, making her believe her powers worked. She quickly opened her eyes and smiled at the two plushes.

She immediately grabbed the wolf, pulling it to her chest as she handed Liam the fox. "There you go. I get the werewolf and you get the kitsune." Liam smiled at her words, looking down at the fox stuffed animal before looking back up at Melanie, a big goofy smile on his face until he saw Devenford lacrosse bus pull into the school parking lot.

"Can you hold this for me?" He mumbled, handing Melanie the plush fox to hold before getting up and marching towards the bus as kids started to pile out of the bus and the school. "Oh no." Melanie mumbled, getting up and running after him, putting the two stuffed animals in her backpack as she met up with Belle and Mason who watched Liam worriedly.

"Brett!" Liam screamed at a boy walking out of the bus. "Ah, here we go." Mason breathed out, making the two girls turn to him. "Who's that?" Mason shrugged, watching Liam and Brett. "Oh, you know... Liam's worst enemy."

Melanie sighed, looking back to the two boys. "Oh, great." "I just wanted to say... Have a good game." Liam said, sticking his hand out for Brett to shake but the boy just laughed. "That's cute, Liam. Is that what they told you to say in Anger Management? Apologize and everything's fine? You demolished Coach's car."

"I paid for it." Liam seethed as Melanie's eye trailed down to Liam's hands that started to bleed, her eyes went wide as Brett took another step towards Liam. "Yeah, you're going to pay for it. We're gonna break you in half out there. And it's gonna be all your fault."

Melanie walked up beside Liam, wrapping his fist in her hands subtly as she glared at Brett towering over her. "Watch it." She glared, making Brett laugh. "Oh, and what are you gonna do about it, short stack? Kick my shins?" Melanie and Liam went to pounce at him but Belle came up, pulling Melanie back as Scott grabbed Liam and Stiles got in between Brett and the freshmen.

"Hey, what's going on prep students? Welcome to our little public high school. How you doing? Stiles. That's a firm handshake you got there. Uh... we're very excited for scrimmage tonight. Uh, but Let's keep it clean, all right? No rough stuff out there. All right, see you on the field. Go." Stiles rambled before turning around and pointing at Scott, making all of them run to the locker rooms.

As soon as they got into the locker room, Belle let go of Melanie, turning on one of the showers and Scott and Stiles immediately pushed the wolfed out Liam under the water.

"Okay, you calm yet?" Stiles asked and Liam growled. Melanie clenched her jaw, walking over to the sinks to wash Liam's blood off her hands and when she got back in the showers, Liam was calmer. "Okay! Okay!"

Liam slid down the wall, pulling his knees to his chest as Belle looked at him curiously. "That car you smashed... You told us that was your teacher's."

"He was also my Coach. He benched me for the entire season." Liam explained and Melanie's brows furrowed as she took a step towards him. "What did you do?"

Liam looked u at her, shrugging. "I got a couple of red cards." "Just a couple?" Stiles asked, not believing him and Melanie sighed, walking to about a foot in front of him before crossing her legs and sitting across from him. "You gotta be honest with us. Liam... What else happened?" Melanie mumbled and Liam groaned.

"Nothing. I got kicked out of school. They sent me to a psychologist for evaluation." Liam mumbled, not meeting anyone's eyes.

Belle crossed her arms, looking up at him with raised brows. "What did they call it?"

"Intermittent Explosive Disorder."

"I.E.D? You're literally an I.E.D?" Stiles gasped before he chuckled, turning to Melanie. "Hey, maybe that's what's wrong with Mel."

Melanie whipped her head to Stiles, glaring at him. "Bite me." Stiles eyebrows raised at her. "You ready wanna say that with three werewolves in the room? One might I add, we just found out has I.E.D.?"

He let out a dry chuckle before continuing. "This is great. Gave super powers to a walking time bomb." Stiles said, giving Scott a thumbs up that he rolled his eyes at. "Did they give you anything for it?"

"Risperdal. It's an antipsychotic." Liam mumbled and Stiles chuckled. "Oh, this just gets better."

"But I don't take it." Liam said and Melanie's eyes went wide as Stiles chuckled. "Well, Obviously."

"I can't play lacrosse on it. It makes me too tired." Liam tried to reason, turning to Melanie with pleading eyes but she just looked down at the tiled floor.

Scott sighed. "Okay. I think you should bail out of the game. Tell Coach your leg is still hurting." Liam sat up, startling Melanie a bit, her head shooting up as Liam shook his. "No, no! I can do this. Especially if you guys are there." He said, looking in between Melanie and Scott.

Scott slowly shook his head. "But, Liam, It's not just about the game. We think whoever killed Demarco might be on our team." Melanie and Belle spun around to face Scott. "What?!" The two girls yelled and Stiles' eyes went wide. "Oh, we didn't tell you about that?" Stiles asked and the two girls shook their heads.

"Wait. Who's Demarco?" Liam asked, confused. Stiles sighed. "The one who brought the beer to the party. The guy who was beheaded. Remember?"

"We think the person who ordered the keg killed Demarco." Scott said and Melanie looked down in shock, mumbling a 'wow' as Liam had a look on his face like he was hiding something. "Liam? What, you know something?" Scott asked, making Melanie look back up to him.

"I don't know who ordered the keg. But I know who paid for it."
