Wake Up
"You're going to bite Stiles?" Peter asked as he and what was left of the pack stood in the Sheriffs Station. Scott shrugged anxiously, his arms crossed. "To get him through the rift. It's the only way."
Peter rolled his eyes, pointing at Scott as he walked towards him. "Just to clarify, are you planning on biting everyone in the train station?" Peter asked and Malia took a small step towards him, making the man turned to her as she spoke. "With Stiles back, he'll be able to help us figure out a plan. He's good at that."
"From what I can remember, so was Mel." Liam spoke up, looking between Belle and Scott who both nodded in agreement before Mason's brows furrowed and he rose his hand. "I have a question."
Everyone in the room turned to the boy as he lowered his hand. "If any supernatural could go through the barrier, why didn't Mel go with Peter?"
At his question, everyone's attention left Mason and went to Peter. Peter groaned at the eyes on him, pinching the bridge of his nose. "She said she didn't want to be left alone with me. Apparently, she's still upset that I temporarily paralyzed her."
Belle scoffed out a laugh, crossing her arms as she looked around the room. "I wonder why?" She muttered and Peter turned to her with a glare. "You know, every time you speak I regret turning you." He said squinting as he tilted his head.
Wanting to change the subject, Malia nodded. "So the plan is to get Stiles to come up with a plan." She said, not wanting the plan to sound as crazy as it did.
Peter turned to Malia, throwing his arms out widely as he looked around the room. "Malia, look around. We're the only ones left in Beacon Hills. If they take us, Lydia will be the only one left to haunt the place."
"That's why I'm the only person that's going in." Scott interrupted, shutting Peter up as he continued. "Liam, Belle and Hayden will stay here with Mason. As long as somebody is left in Beacon Hills, the wild hunt can't move on."
Peter rolled his eyes, nodding his head. "I like your plan, Scott. I really do, especially the part about turning Stiles. But it can't work."
"How do you know?" Belle asked and Peter turned to her in annoyance. "Logic. Life experience. What are the odds that he'll get taken? What if Stiles isn't there? What if there's no Beacon Hills for you to come back to?"
"You got a better idea?" Hayden asked and Peter turned to her, not even knowing her but nodding nonetheless. "Yeah. It's called, "Run like Hell." So, leave in five?" Peter asked, nodding his head and Malia groaned. "You promised you'd help us. We still need to find the rift." Malia said and Peter turned to her, shaking his head.
"I didn't promise I'd help you commit suicide." Peter yelled and Belle sarcastically sighed in sadness at the man's words, shaking her head. "Aw, dammit. That's upsetting." She muttered and Peter turned to her with a dropped jaw.
"Does this one always have to speak?" Peter asked, pointing at Belle before he turned to her. "God, I swear you weren't this annoying last time." Peter said and Belle simply sent the boy a smile.
Scott grew annoyed with Peter, shaking his head angrily. "If you can't help, we can find it ourselves." Peter sighed annoyedly, tilting his head at the alpha. "Scott, I admit that you have a flair for beating the odds. But, this? You don't walk away from. You run." Peter said before walking out of the Station.
...
After Peter walked out, Scott, Malia and Lydia left in search more answers, leaving Belle, Liam, Hayden and Mason at the station.
"So we should stay here. That's it?" Mason asked as they four of them sat at the waiting area seats. Liam huffed, rubbing his chin angrily as he rested his elbows on his knees. "It doesn't matter where we are. We still need to figure out how to fight them." He muttered, shaking his head before he sighed, looking down at the floor. "No one can fight them."
"Douglas can." Theo yelled from his cell in the other room, hearing the four talk amongst themselves. Belle but her tongue in anger, turning to Liam. "Does he need to stay in there? He's still Theo."
"Theo saved Scott. Remember?" Theo yelled in his own defense. Belle turned in the direction Theo was in, not being able to see the boy but she glared anyway. "Theo also was the little bitch who tried to make me jump off a building."
"You don't need to figure it out. Because Douglas already did." Theo yelled and Liam straightened up, turning to Belle in the seat beside him. "If he knew how to fight them, then he might know everything about them."
"And guess who knows all about Mr. Douglas?" Theo yelled, hearing Liam from his super hearing. Belle groaned, getting out of her chair and walking to the back room where Theos was being held in his cell as she shook his head. "I swear to God if he makes one more snarky comment, I'm finding duct tape for him."
When they all got into the cell room, Mason walked up to the cell to look at Theo who sat on a bench in the cell. Mason walked write up to the cell, grabbing the bars. "That's never going to happen. We're not making that deal."
"I hold all the cards." Theo said and Hayden glared at him, crossing her arms as she leaned back into the wall. "You're locked in a jail cell. You have no cards."
Theo looked at Hayden for a few seconds before turning to Belle who held Kira's sword tightly in her hands and looking back at Mason. "You want me to tell you about Douglas. Break the sword."
"Does anyone else want to do the negotiating?" Mason said, looking back at the group, slightly intimidated as he walked back to stand beside Liam.
"I'll break the sword." Belle said, catching everyone's attention. Theos brows raised at the girl, sitting up in his seat slightly, intrigued by her change of heart. "Really?"
Belle smiled, nodding her head. "Yeah... It'll break when I shove it right up your-" "Belle." Hayden interrupted and Belle shut her mouth.
Theo smirked at Belle, only pissing the girl off more. "You break, I talk." When no one answered, Theo chuckled, shaking his head, "Come on, guys. Look, I don't want in anyone's pack. I don't want anyone's power. I just wanna stay alive."
"How do we know if we let you out, you won't run?" Liam asked, glaring the boy as he took a step closer to him. "Cause we're not letting him out." Belle said as Theo turned to her, making her continue. "He's going to tell us from in here." Belle said, lifting her chin higher. Theo smirked at Belles urge to not back down, shaking his head.
"I'm still going to need some incentive." Theo said, tilting his head at Belle. The Parker girl glared at the boy before lifting the sword slightly, twisting the hand and letting the sword breaking from under her hands. Theo smiled at the broken sword at her feet before looking up and locking eyes with Belle.
"He's a lowenmensch." Theo said and Hayden's face scrunched. "What the hell is a lowenmensch?" She asked, making Theo turn to her. "It's part-wolf, part-lion. He was a part of the Ahnenerbe, Himmler's personal project to use the occult to win the war."
Mason, who had learned about Lowenmenschs, looked at Theo with a confused look. "Douglass didn't beat a Ghost rider. He ran." He said and Theo nodded. Belle looked at the Raeken boy angrily before scoffing, shaking her head.
"I know I did not break that sword just for him to tell us we should've listened to Peter Hale." Belle grumbled before waking out of the room and back into the main room.
"Where are you going?" Hayden yelled after her girlfriend.
"To find duct tape!" Belle yelled back and Hayden rolled her eyes, holding back a laugh. Mason, who was still set on the previous conversation, turned to Theo. "If that was back in 1943, where's he been all this time?"
Theo shrugged, smirking slightly as he leaned back into the wall the bench was attached to. "Douglas kept looking. He found a scientist that he thought could help him. Three of them."
"I couldn't find the duct tape." Belle grumbled as she stomped back into the room, making the Raeken boy amused, tilting his head. "Aw... too bad." Theo said, smirking at the blonde girl.
Something in Belle finally snapped at Theos words. From all of his comments he had been making and not being able to get Melanie and Stiles back, Belle lost all her patience left for the boy and whip her head to him, trying everything in her not to turn.
"Shut up! Just shut the hell up, Theo!" Belle yelled, before letting out a drained sigh, falling back onto the bench that sat across the jail cell, putting her head in her hands. "Please." She muttered, making Hayden's face immediately fall, running over to sit next to Belle on the bench, wrapping her arm around her shoulder and pulling her into her side.
Belle groaned, shutting her eyes tight as she took in a deep breath. "I cant keep hearing your sarcasm. The two people I have to thank for getting me away from my dad, I can't even remember. I just can't take anymore sarcastic comments from you." Belle muttered, her head shaking ever so slightly.
Theo looked at the girl across from him sadly, a part of him feeling guilty for knowingly egging her on. He sighed, standing up from the bench before walking to the bars of the cell, grabbing a hold of them gently as he watched the Parker girl. "The Ghost Rider's whip didn't go deep enough to take him, but left a gash on his back. He was thrown into the tank and the wound infected the water. It mixed with the fluid from the vat and actually made him stronger. Soaking it in, absorbing the power for 70 years."
Belle slowly lifted her head to look at Theo, her eyes red from the stress. "So, he came out with the power of an Alpha, a Lowenmensch, and a Ghost Rider."
Theo nodded with the girl before shrugging. "A side effect no one could expect." Mason nodded at what he was hearing, glad he could understand what was going on as he looked between the teens. "So he can fight them. He could stop them."
When Theo nodded, Liam scoffed, shaking his head. "The Nazis lost the war. Why is he still obsessed? What does he want an army for?"
"He doesn't want it for them. " Theo said and everyone turned back to him as he continued. "The Nazis were just a means to an end. He wants it for himself. His own personal, supernatural Army."
Belle took in a deep breath, nodding her head as she looked between the group. "We need to warn Scott." She said and Liam nodded with her. "Yeah, come on. We gotta hurry. We can still find him."
Mason was the first to run out of the room and immediately skidded to a stop at a Ghost Rider standing at the door, looking right at him. Liams eyes went wide, grabbing his best friends shoulder to try and pull him away and to the back door. "Mason! Get back!"
Just as they got about halfway to the door, the Ghost Rider threw his whip, wrapping it around Mason and pulling him back, a green cloud of smoke wrapping around him.
"No!" Liam yelled as the smoke around Mason slowly faded away, leaving nothing and no one left. Liam took a deep breath, slowly turning to the Ghost Rider the took Mason, a low growl escaping his lips.
"Liam. Don't!" Belle yelled, knowing what he was thinking but Liam ignored the girl, growling at the Ghost Rider and running straight towards him. Liam jumped in the Rider, trying to slash him as he held on but the Ghost Rider grabbed the back of Liams shirt and threw him through the Sheriff offices window.
Belle's eyes went wide, going to run towards Liam but the Ghost Rider slowly turned to her and Hayden, making her freeze.
"Stay behind me." Belle muttered, pushing Hayden behind her but when another Ghost Rider broke through the Station window, looking right at Belle, Hayden shook her head, pushing herself in front of Belle just as the Ghost Rider tossed its whip and it wrapped around Hayden's wrist.
"No!" Belle screamed, grabbing Hayden's wrist to keep her held back as Liam ran out of the Sheriffs office, watching the two with wide eyes before running towards Belle and Hayden, grabbing onto the girl as well. Hayden shook her head at Belle and Liam risking their lives for her. "Belle. Liam. Go! You have to find Scott."
Belle shook her head, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I'm not leaving you." Another Ghost Rider appeared on Belle's side. The Ghost Rider raised his whip and threw it to grab Belle but just before the whip could wrap around her, Hayden grabbed the whip, watching as it latched around her other arm.
Belle looked at the girl with wide eyes as Hayden started to move closer to the Ghost Riders. She quickly walked under one of Hayden's arms so she was in front of Hayden keeping her back as Liam stayed holding on from behind.
Hayden shook her head at their persistent need to save her. "You have to. I'm not letting both of you guys get taken down with me. You can save me on the other side." Hayden said but Belle shook her head, not meeting Hayden's eyes as she glared at the Ghost Riders.
"I'll find Mel. I'll keep her safe." Hayden said, sending a reassuring nod to Liam before turning back to Belle who had finally turned to look back at her. The Parker grew held back a cry as she shook her head. "I love you." She whispered and Hayden smiled.
"Then go." Hayden cried out. Belle looked at Hayden for a few more seconds, kissing her cheek and crawling back under Hayden's arm as Liam let go of her, running to back by the hallway that led towards the back door. When Belle got close enough to Liam, the boy grabbed Belles wrist, pulling her back beside him as they watched Hayden. The Romero girl kept her eyes on Belle, a small smile on her face before she stopped fighting the Ghost Riders.
Green smoke covered Hayden until she was gone completely. Belle felt her heart drop as Liam stood behind her with wide eyes before he shook off his shock and started to run towards the back door. "Belle! Come on!" He screamed as he ran before he heard Belle groan.
"Shit. Shit. Shit!" Belle cursed and Liam immediately turned around. He turned around and saw Belle by the door, holding onto it for dear life while a Ghost Riders whip wrapped around her waist.
"Belle!" Liam yelled, going to run towards her but another Ghost Rider appeared behind her, looking right at Liam. Belles eyes went wide, shaking her head crazily as she watched Liam worriedly, the boy doing the exact same to her.. "No! Don't get any closer! You're not getting taken too!"
Liam shook his head at her words, taking a step towards her. "Bel-" "You're gonna stay here and try to get Melanie and Stiles and everyone else back. I'll do the same from the inside." Belle interrupted, shaking her head as she felt her hands burn from her grip on the door, trying everything she could to hold on even for just a few more seconds.
Liam looked at her worriedly as he watched tears start to fill in her eyes. Belle shook her head, shutting her eyes tightly to get the tears away before she looked back up at tyne boy, sending him a small smile. "Go, Dunbar. I've been through worse."
Liam looked at Belle for a few mores seconds before another Ghost Rider appeared, this one wrapping his whip around Belles neck. Belle gasped for air, shaking her head at Liam. "Go!" Belle screamed and Liam looked at her one last time before running out the back door of the station.
Belle held onto the door until she knew Liam was gone. A small smile grew on her face as she let go, glad at least one of her friends got away safe.
Belle fell back, the cold taking over her body before it all went away and she as gone.
...
Melanie sat in between Stiles and Gwen in the station; Stiles wide awake and Gwen asleep, her head resting on her sister, Phoebe's, shoulder.
After being in the train station for a while, Gwen convinced Melanie to tell her everything, leading Melanie to tell Gwen about the supernatural and everything they had gone through and surprisingly, Gwen didn't care and instead, wanted to help Meanie and Stiles.
"Stiles... Melanie..." A voice rang. Melanie and Stiles straightened up at the voice, instantly recognizing it. "Lydia?" Stiles asked, shooting out of his seat to look around ti train station for the girl.
Melanie followed after him, just a few steps behind him when the intercoms rang.
"Attention, all passengers. The train will be arriving in 25 minutes." A drained voice spoke through the intercoms. Melanie's brows furrowed as she stopped following Stiles. She could've sworn she recognized the voice but the speakers made the voice so muffled, she couldn't pinpoint where she knew the voice from.
When Stiles realized Melanie left his side, he ran back towards her, grabbing her hands and pulling her towards the tunnels to find Lydia.
As they got closer and closer to the tunnels, people started to crowd around the entrance, stopping the two teens from moving. Stiles' eyes went wide as he shook his head, trying to see above the crowd in case Lydia was right there. "Lydia?"
"Stiles? Melanie?" Lydia spoke again and Melanie looked around anxiously, trying to find Lydia in the crowd.
"Stiles!" Lydia screamed before three gunshots rang through the air, everyone in the way station ducked, not wanting to get shoot. Stiles turned his head to the sound, his eyes widening at who shoot the gun. His dad.
When the crowd started to stand again, so did Melanie and Stiles as the Sheriff lowered his weapon. "Give the kids some room." The Sheriff said. Melanie turned to look up at Stiles and smiled at the big smile on his face as he ran towards her dad.
"Dad!" Stiles yelled, pulling the man into the hug. Melanie slowly walked towards the two, wanting to give them some alone time. Melanie knew she was being selfish but in that moment, all she could think about was how hard Stiles' tried to fight to find his son and her parents wouldn't have even cared, even if they did remember her.
The Sheriff closed his eyes and sighed in happiness as he held his son, glad he got him back. "Oh, God. Oh, I found you. I can't believe I found you."
When he opened his eyes, he saw Melanie a few feet behind Stiles, watching the two of them sadly. The man frowned slightly, pulling away from Stiles and walking towards Melanie.
The girls eyes went wide at him coming towards her but when he pulled her into a hug, she froze completely. "Kid, how you doing?" The man asked, rubbing her back. Melanie smiled, slowly hugging the man back as she nodded. "Surviving."
"Dad, I- We can hear Lydia. I think... I think we can get to her. I think she can get us out of here." Stiles said and the man nodded, putting a hand on Stiles' shoulder. "You both need to get out of here. Don't worry about me."
Stiles' face fell at his dads words, shaking his head. "What? You're kidding, right?"
Noah sighed, shaking his head at his sons hesitation. "Go. Get help. Find your friends." He said demandingly, looking between the two teens before he turned back to Stiles, sending him a smile. "We'll find each other again."
Suddenly, horses neighing echoed through the station and Melanie turned her head to the tunnel with wide eyes.
"I'll hold them back. Now get the hell out of here." Noah said but neither teens moved, not wanting to leave him but when the horses grew louder, the man's eyes got wider. "Go. Go!" He yelled at Stiles and Melanie and they finally started running.
They ran down the subway tracks until they were at the way station they had last seen Peter. Melanie skidded to a stop at what was waiting for them at the end of the tunnel. A big, bright green portal with three shadows inside of it.
"Melanie! Stiles!" Lydia yelled again and they both could tell the voice was coming from the portal. "We need to go in." Stiles said, looking down at Melanie and the girl nodded before running towards the portal, not even wasting a second.
As soon as the two got to the portal they felt it fight back, not wanting them to go in. Melanie groaned as she she pushed through, taking another step further.
"Stiles. Melanie! Keep going. I can see you, don't stop!" Lydia screamed. Melanie continued to walk, she felt herself getting tired by the second. When she noticed Stiles starting to fall behind, she grabbed his hand without looking so he wouldn't get left behind, keeping her eyes ahead of her on the shadow of Lydia.
Melanie's vision grew brighter and brighter until all she could see was a bright, white light and her eyes fell closed.
...
"Mel? Melanie? Wake up!" Melanie could faintly hear in the back of her head. Melanie groaned, shaking her head as she refused to open her eyes. She heard the voice that had spoken to her groan before they grabbed her shoulder and shook them. "Melanie!"
Melanie shot awake her eyes widened as she screamed, adrenaline rushing out of her. When she she felt the person who yelled her name grab her shoulders carefully she slowly turned her head and saw Stiles before she fully processed what was happening.
They were in Stiles' Jeep.
Melanie felt nothing but happiness as she looked around the Jeep, taking in everything about it she had missed. "Holy shit! I've missed this crappy thing." Melanie cheered, her hands roaming around the car she felt that she hadn't sat in in forever. Stiles sent her a playful glare at her words that Melanie just laughed at, shaking his head. "Sorry."
Stiles shook his head at her al half-ass apology, knowing she wasn't really that sorry. He let out a happy sigh as he gripped the steering wheel happily before turning to Melanie. "Let's go find our friends."
"No." Melanie said, making Stiles turn to her, his brows furrowing at the happy smile on her face until she spoke up. "Let's go find our pack."
