"Hayden... Hayden, wait!" Belle screamed as she chased after Hayden out of the club. Hayden shook her head, turning to Belle as she stood in front of her car just as Melanie and Liam got to the club. "Asking me to close my eyes was weird. Sticking a glow stick in my face, even weirder. But werewolves and dead doctors?" "Dread Doctors." Belle corrected, making Hayden groan.

"Whatever. Get away from me." Hayden snapped, going to get into her car but Belle quickly caught her arm. "What if I could prove it to you?"

Hayden slowly turned to Belle with furrowed brows as Melanie and Liam watched behind her worriedly. "Prove what?"

"This." Belle mumbled before her eyes turned bright yellow and she showed her fangs. Hayden let out a yell, punching Belle in the face, making Melanie yelp as Liam winced and Hayden got in her car, driving away.

Belle held her nose in pain as Melanie and Liam walked towards her, Melanie shaking her head. "May I say... That worked beautifully."

...

"Hayden? It's Scott. I know that you're scared, but we just... We want to help." Scott said as he knocked on Belles locked bathroom door that Hayden sat in alone. He held a finger up, as if to tell the group to be quiet and after a few seconds, he turned to them. "I can hear her heart beating. She's really freaked out. What happened?"

Belle shrugged, looking to the door before going back and forth between Scott and Stiles. "I don't know. She was okay when we got here. Liam went to text you for two seconds while Mel and I went to get blankets for her and she locked herself in."

"Why? " Stiles asked, making Mel turn to him, resting Belle's first words. "We don't know."

"She's definitely a Chimera?" Scott asked, looking between the three sophomores. Liam nodded. "She said she heard a voice saying, 'Your condition improves.'"

"Okay, that's unsettling." Stiles muttered, making Melanie turn to him, nodding. "Very."

Stiles sighed, walking towards the door and knocked very softly. "Hayden. This is Stiles. Your sister works for my dad down at the station. Look, just open the door, okay? You can trust us."

Melanie sighed, taking a step closer to the door. "We just need to tell you the truth, Hayden. And that kind of thing usually is better face-to-face."

"Listen, either you're gonna unlock the door or I'm gonna have to break it open." Scott said, making Belle turn to him with a betrayed look. "Dude, are you crazy?! My dad will kill me!"

"It's okay if you don't want to talk, or if you're not ready to believe us. But I just... I gotta know that you're okay in there." Belle said through the door and after a few seconds, the sound of the door unlocking made the five straighten up.

Hayden stood in the bathroom, looking down at her hands that had claws. She slowly looked up, her teeth sharper and her eyes bright yellow as she panted. "I believe you."

The next night, Scott had Melanie, Liam and Belle bring Hayden to the school for safety.

Melanie sat with her knees pulled to her chest on the floor, picking at her nails when she felt someone sit next to her. Melanie slowly turned her head and smiled at Liam, immediately resting her head on his shoulder out of tiredness.

"Do you think this plan is gonna work out?" Liam asked, resting his head on Melanie's as she sighed at his question. "It has to. We don't have any other."

Liam sighed, looking down and slowly grabbing Melanie's hand. The Yukimura instantly squeezed his hand, making small butterflies erupt in both of their stomachs.

...

"Don't worry, you learn to control it." Belle told Hayden as the girl washed her face in the locker room sink. Hayden sighed, looking to Belle through the mirror. "I'm not like you. I wasn't bitten by a wolf. I was... somebody's science experiment. This is so bizarre."

"I know, but you're gonna be okay. I promise." Belle said, putting a hand in Hayden's shoulder. Hayden looked down at Belles hand, feeling a small flutter in her chest before she looked back up to Belle. "What am I?"

Belle tilted her head sadly? looking at Hayden through the mirror. "You're Hayden." The Romero girl smiled at Belles words, taking her hand off her shoulder, holding it instead, making Belle smile.

...

"What were you going to do with these?" Belle asked, waking Melanie and Liam up. They slowly turned to Belle watching as she carried a link of chains as she spun around to Scott and Lydia who had wide eyes. "Brought them just in case." Scott shrugged, making Belle straighten up. "In case of what?"

Scott looked down, sighing. "In case we had a chance to catch one of them. If we can't make the school a fortress, then maybe we can make it a trap."

Melanie's eyes went wide at Scott's words. "They're coming for her, doesn't that mean she's the bait?" Lydia quickly turned to Melanie and Liam, shaking her head. "Mel, we brought her here to protect her."

"And now she's bait." Belle snapped, making Hayden shiver in fear. "Am I?"

Scott immediately shook his head, catching Hayden's fear. "No. No one's bait. But we can't be bodyguards to everyone every night." Liam furrowed his brows, looking up at Scott. "Then why aren't we talking to Stiles' dad? Why aren't we doing something better than hiding in a school?"

Scott sighed, looking down at Liam. "Because we still don't know anything about them or what they want, okay? They're winning and we don't even know what the game is." Belle scoffed, making the group turn to her. "What if they come in here and those things don't work? What if you have an asthma attack again? What are we gonna do?"

"I don't know." Scott yelled, making Melanie roll her eyes. "This plan sucks." She mumbled but Scott heard her, turning to her with an annoyed face. "You got a better one? Kids are dying! And she's next. So, somebody has to do something. Somebody has to save everyone. So somebody's got to be the bait!" Scott yelled at Melanie, making her flinch slightly since his voice got so loud, it shook the lockers.

Scott instantly leaned back when he realized he scared the girl as Liam grabbed her hand in comfort. Belle sighed, shaking her head as she looked at Scott. "Promise me you'll do everything you can to save her."

The alpha didn't answer, making Belle take a closer step towards him. "Scott... Promise." Finally, Scott slowly looked up to Belle, nodding. "I'll do everything I can. I promise."

Hayden started shaking her head from where she sat across Mel and Liam. "Guys... I think I might need a little help right now. I forgot my pills. I have a bottle in my locker. I can get them, but-" Scott immediately butted in, not letting her finish her sentence. "I'll get them. What's your combination?"

...

It was a few minutes after Scott left that the five heard a loud clanging noise from outside, making Lydia walk towards the doors. "I'm gonna go check that out. Stay in here." Lydia said before walking out of the locker room.

Melanie's eyes started to fall closed as her head started to pound, making the groan. Liam, Belle and Hayden all turned to her. "It's the currents, right? Kitsunes can't be near them long." Liam asked in confusion but Belle shook her head.

"No. This currents always been at school and we've only been here a few hours so it's gotta mean-" Belle was cut off by the sound of the locker room doors being kicked open, making the four teens eyes widen. "They're here."

They all slowly got up as the Dread Doctor got closer and closer to them. Melanie tried to muster up all the strength she could, having her katana appear in her hands but as soon as it appeared, someone grabbed it, pushing it into her stomach. Impaling her.

Melanie gasped for air, worrying the three teens as she started to fall over. Liam quickly caught her, looking at Melanie with wide eyes as she held onto her stomach as if she were stabbed.

The youngest Yukimura slowly looked up to see who stabbed her and saw Kira holding Melanie's now bloodied sword. Kira slowly looked to Melanie, her eyes glowing orange as she said something in Japanese. I am the messenger of death.

"Mel! Mel! What's wrong?" Liam asked as the Dread Doctors got closer and closer to the four teens. Belle looked up at the doctors as a hand wrapped around her neck from behind, strangling her. Belle clawed her neck in hopes to let the person drop her but it was no use.

"You always were a disappointment of mine." A deep voice spoke behind Belle and the girl didn't even to turn around to know who was talking to her. Her father.

She let out a whimper as she opened her mouth, trying to find any space for air to enter as Hayden looked at her with wide eyes, trying to find out what was wrong with her.

With two of the teens under hallucinations while the other two tried to bring them back. The Dread Doctors had enough time to grab all four of them and take them away from the school as if they were never there in the first place.

...

Melanie woke up to a faint buzzing sound. She felt an enormous pain in her arm as she laid on a slightly cushioned layout with her back facing up.

"Mel! Hayden!" A voice screamed in the back of Melanie's head making her slowly open her eyes. She noticed she was laying on a gurney and right across from her were Liam and Belle connected to two big green containers.

Hearing a small grunt of pain beside her, Mel turned her head down and noticed Hayden on a gurney just like her.

The sound of footsteps and clicking sent Melanie into a small panic as Belle and Liam screamed for her and Hayden louder.

One of the dread doctor came into Melanie's line of sight, breathing heavily through his mask as he held an empty needle. "Kitsune DNA." The doctor grunted as the other two walked towards Hayden.

Melanie's brows furrowed. "What?"

The doctor brought the needle closer to Melanie's arm and sunk the needle into her arm, taking some of her blood as Melanie screamed in pain. "Kitsune DNA."

—so idk if it make any sense but the dread doctors are taking Mel's dna to make ✨kitsune chimeras✨
I love how bayden is going so quick meanwhile we're waiting for either mel or liam
