Luna: *PA* DESTROYER ALERT! DESTROYER ALERT! ALL CITIZENS MUST EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY! ADVENTURERS, EQUIP YOURSELVES AND REPORT TO THE GUILD!

Back at the barn where you and Mei's moment was interrupted. You instantly separate from her and start heading toward the house to grab your equipment.

Y/N: Get your gear head to the front of the house.

Mei: Y/N wait.....About what just happened I-

Y/N: We'll talk later. Now gear up.

Mei: Right!

You rushed to the house and equipped your helmet, ammo belt, bandoliers, sword, revolver and rifle. Outside with Kazuma hears the announcement as Aqua pulls up in push cart with all her belongings. Megumin with her things tied to her back as well as Darkness and Mei.

Aqua: Hey, don't just stand there. We have to leave. It'll be here any minute.

Kazuma: What will?

Megumin: The Mobile Fortress Destroyer. It's suicide to fight something do fearsome.

Kazuma: Can someone tell me what a Destroyer even is?!

Darkness: It is and ancient weapon, and wherever it rampages through, not even the grass remains.

Then you walk through the front door fully equipped.

Aqua: Y/N, we have to go no-

Y/N: I'm not running.

Megumin: B-But Y/N-

Y/N: I didn't run from the Skaven. And I'm not running from this. Look, I'm not gonna order any of you to do this. I'm giving you all a choice, you can evacuate with the civilians and I won't think less of you for it. Or come with me to the Guild and we defend our home.

Your party hesitates for a second....

Mei:.....I'm with you Y/N, I'll show what I'm truly capable of!

Megumin: If Y/N is staying.....Then I'm staying too!

Darkness: I will also stand with you Y/N.

Kazuma: Y/N is right, come on guys. Let's head to the Guild.

Aqua: You're crazy!

Kazuma: We worked out asses to the bone for this house. And I'll be damned if I'm gonna let anything happen to it!

Aqua:....Oh alright.

After you all agreed to stay, Aqua reluctantly. Your party head toward the Guild Hall where all of Axel's Adventurers gather around Luna for a briefing.

Luna: You are the only hope this town has. Thank you for putting your lives on the line to help.

A female guild staff member holding a crystal ball using what the writer is guessing to be Clairvoyance and a familiar to monitor the Destroyer's movement.

Staff Member: Okay everyone, our intel show us the Mobile Fortress Destroyer is approaching from the northwest. Our town stands directly in it's path, it will be at our walls in one hour.

Everyone watches shocked at the giant machine but the soon the the connection is lost when the familiar following it is shot down. Now everyone mummers frightened by it's firepower.

Y/N: That's one helluva of defense system.

Then a female wizard raises her hand.

Female Wizard: Question, I heard it was made a long time ago with advanced magical technology. Can't we ask it creators how to neutralize it or how to break its magic barrier?

Luna:......When the Destroyer switched on, its creators were the first to die.

Kazuma: (How's a town full of newbs suppose to stop this thing? Talk about a hard level.)

Male Adventurer: If Kyouya were here, he'd know what to do.....

Male Adventurer: Yeah, how come he ain't here? He wasn't here when the Skaven invaded either.

You and Kazuma both glance at each other as you both know why Kyouya's not here.

Chris: Face it, we should get out of here while we can.

Darkness: We cannot, it is our duty to protect the homes of the townspeople.

Chris: I swear Darkness, you can be so stubborn.

Chris tugs on your jacket and Kazuma's cloak as you stand there pondering.

Chris: Hey you two, you got any bright ideas?

Kazuma: Not off the bat I don't...Hmm....Oh! hey Aqua, you think you but through its magic barrier?

Aqua: Hmm....I have no way to unless I try.

Luna: Are you saying you can break the Destroyer's magic barrier?!

Kazuma: N-No one's saying anything! I was just wondering!

Luna: Well, can't you and your party at least try?

Kazuma: Uh I-I guess.

Luna: Alright, but we still need the firepower to kill it.

Male Adventurer: Oh, we got that. Sure she's small but she packs a wallop. You know the crazy one.

Male Adventurer: Yeah, that weirdo's the bomb. Literally.

Masked Adventurer: That little nutjob can blast it to pieces.

You noticed that everyone is staring at Megumin and she's annoyed that no one is saying her name.

Megumin: H-Hold on a minute, if you're talking about me! Don't day call me by any name other than my own! Anyone who does it again, and I'll show how crazy I am. I'll incinerate you all right here and now.

Everyone takes a step back at Megumin's threat.

Darkness: Your Explosion magic could put the odds in our favor. It could save the town.

Megumin:......As fearsome as it is, I doubt it's powerful enough to take it down in one blow.

Chris wraps her arm around your head.

Chris: Let's not forget our Ranger here. Y/N you still got those cannons of your?

Y/N: I do.... They might slow it down bit. But no enough to cause it significant damage.

Everyone sighs in worry as Wiz pushes her way through the crowd.

Wiz: Excuse me, I'm sorry I'm late. I'm Wiz, owner of the Magic Item Shop. I also happen to be a certified Adventurer. And I've come to help however I can.

Male Adventurer: The Shop Keeper's here!

Male Adventurer: She's broke, but she's no joke!

Male Adventurer: Dirt-poor shopkeeper for the win!

Kazuma: Yo, calling her out for being poor is not cool.

Y/N: Yeah, that's kinda douchey.

Kazuma: And why in the hell's everyone cheering her on like she some kinda celebrity?

Dust: Dude you don't know about her? Before she opened her shop here, she had a rep for being the great Arch Wizard.

Kazuma: *whisper* They'd crap their pants if they knew she was really a lich.

Y/N: *whisper* Or one of the Devil King's Generals.

Luna: Alright everyone! The emergency quest will now begin!

Everyone now motivated started heading out of the Guild to gate to make a stand against the Destroyer. But someone grabs a hold of your jacket you turn around and see Sophie showing great concern on her face.

Y/N: Sophie I-

She says nothing as she wraps her arms around your neck and gives a deep passionate kiss. Caught off guard initially but you put your hands on her waist and return the kiss. She removes her lips from yours and presses her forehead against yours smiling.

Sophie: Just come back alive Y/N. I'll be waiting okay.

Y/N:.....I will......I promise.

You run out of the Guild Hall to catch up with the others. Sophie presses her hands against her chest as she watches you leave.

Sophie: (Good luck Y/N.)

EMERGENCY QUEST: PROTECT THE CITY FROM THE MOBILE FORTRESS DESTROYER!!

With time not on their side the Adventurers and Axel's engineers organize a desperate defense. They build hasty fortifications in front of the gate. They also raise your field guns onto the walls. Your clones position them and sight them in. At the same time you have a Rifle Platoon digging slit trenches fifty yards in front of the gate.

3 Squads = 1 Platoon

Aqua, Megumin, Wiz, and Mei were all atop the wall nervously awaiting the Destroyer. Darkness on the other hand positioned one hundred yards away from the gate. Her sword planted the ground as she stands firm also awaiting the mechanical beast. You and Kazuma run over to her to try to convince her to not be in line of fire.

Kazuma: Come on, Darkness. You can't stand out here waiting.

Y/N: I know you get off on the pain and all. But will you please-

Darkness: I understand why you would think what you do given my usual behavior. But I am a knight, remember? Do you think I would put desire before duty?

Kazuma: Yeah, that's exactly what you're doing.

Darkness at first scoffs at Kazuma's statement but then regains herself and clears her throat.

Darkness: In truth, the people here are my responsibility. They might not know why or even care. But still, it is my duty to protect them.

Y/N: Why here in particular?

Darkness:....My real given name is Lalatina Dustiness Ford.

Y/N: Lala-what?

Kazuma looks at you and you just shrug your shoulder.

Kazuma: A what?

Darkness: I am a Dustiness Ford. My family governs this territory.

Y/N: Your family is high ranking noble?

Darkness: Please keep a secret.

Y/N: Fine.

Darkness: I am a knight, as such I must protect my people. It is my duty and honor to. As it is your duty to Sigmar and to the Empire Y/N. Agreed?

Y/N: Yeah.

Darkness: I am sorry for being selfish and stubborn.

Kazuma: Well, when come to being all selfish and stubborn. There's a certain Arch Priest I know that blows you away.

Y/N: And I can be a little stubborn myself. But can you hear a request from another knight and as your friend?

Darkness: Of course Y/N, what is it?

Y/N: Will you please stand behind the trench line.

Darkness: You are asking me to retreat?

Y/N: Not retreat, redeploy. Trust me getting catching a stray bullet or shrapnel is the kind of pain you want. *rubs stomach* (I know that all too well.)

Darkness:.......Very well Y/N.

Y/N: Thanks......Lalatina.~

Darkness: NEVER CALL ME BY THAT NAME AGAIN!!

DARKNESS: 💢KONOSUBA!!

Darkness reluctantly re-positions herself directly behind your slit trenches. You and Kazuma head back to the wall to make final preparations.

Y/N: You see anything yet Mei?

Mei: It just crossed into my sight just a few minutes ago. It's almost here.

Y/N: Once it's in range the guns will start bracketing it. You call out corrections.

Mei: Got it.

Y/N: Once Aqua takes down the barrier and the guns are zeroed. We open up on it with everything got. Wiz and Megumin's Explosion spells should take it down.

Mei: You sure this will work?

Y/N: It's the best plan we could come up with.

You signal to Luna down the ground and she grabs a megaphone.

Luna: ATTENTION EVERYONE! THE DESTROYER WILL BE IN SIGHT SHORTLY! PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR BATTLE!

The Adventurers ready their weapons, in the trenches your clones load clips and magazines into their rifles and aim them down range.

Atop the wall artillery crews load rounds into the guns and start sighting them in as the Destroyer comes over the horizon. The giant spider easily breaks through a mountain and quickly starts closing on the town scanning for targets and comes into artillery range.

Mei: It's in range!

Y/N: GUNS STAND BY! FIRE ONE!

The round whistles towards the beast and strikes it's magical barrier just near it's head.

Mei: Gun 1, adjust 10 degrees right 5 degrees up!

The first gun makes the adjustments.

Y/N: FIRE TWO!

Mei: Come down twelve degrees and eight degrees right!

As the gun crews make adjustments continue to fire salvos at your command with Mei calling out corrections. You see that Megumin is visibly scared you see that everyone is scared.

Aqua: Hey Wiz, You can do this right?!

Wiz: I'll give it my best shot Lady Aqua. I may not look it, but I'm the highest rank undead.

Aqua: So does that mean yes or no?!

Wiz: If I should happen to fail, then we'll all return to the dust together.

Aqua: Quit joking around you! That's not even funny! Kazuma, Y/N you guys okay over there?!

Megumin is shaking and sweating you run over to her to calm her down.

Megumin: It'll be okay. I can totally do this. I'm strong enough.....

Kazuma: (We're not okay.)

Megumin: I-I'm a genius mage.

Y/N: Megumin it's gonna be okay. Calm down.

Megumin: I-I'll blow it to a-ashes w-with my Explosion magic.

Y/N: Hang on! Not yet!

Mei: Y/N, it's getting closer! It's now or never!

Y/N: Aqua! Do it now!

Aqua's staff comes from out of the sky and she catches it. Her power and aura are amped to a thousand as she spins her staff over her head.

Aqua: SA-CRED!

Five magic circles appear front of the wall glowing yellow.

Aqua: DIS-PELL!!

Five yellow beams stream out of the circles and hit the Destroyer's magic barrier. Aqua struggles at first to breakthrough as the Destroyer continue it's advance.

Y/N: C'MON AQUA! RIP INTO IT!!

Aqua cries out as puts her all into her attack and the beams become so big it causes the clones to hunker down in the trenches. Darkness continues to stand firm as the beams shatter the barrier.

Mei: The barrier's down!

Y/N: ALL GUNS! FIRE AT WILL!

The gun crews fire rapidly rounds strike the Destroyer's head causing visible damage.

Y/N: RIFLE SQUADS! LET HIM HAVE IT!!

The clones rise up from the trenches and open up with a heavy volume of fire on the Destroyer.

Kazuma: Now's our chance!

Wiz: I'm all set, ready Megumin?!

Megumin is still hesitating and trembling you grab her shoulders and turn her around.

Y/N: Megumin, look at me!

Megumin: *blushing* Y-Y/N?

Y/N: Megumin, I recruited you because said you were the best wizard in your clan!

Megumin: I-I...I'm.....

Y/N: You always flaunt about how powerful your your magic is! Well is that really true?! OR ARE YOU JUST ALL TALK?!!

Kazuma: (Damn Y/N.)

Megumin:........How dare you?! Don't you speak like that to me! Questioning my skill is even worse than making fun of my name! You want an explosion?! I shall show you an explosion!

Y/N: Then show what a Crimson Demon can really do!

Megumin now fully motivated begins chanting with Wiz. While the Destroyer continues to advance under heavy fire.

Wiz & Megumin: Darkness blacker than black, darker than dark, merge with my deep crimson. I beseech thee. The time of awakening has come. From the boundaries of righteousness, come forth oh justice, as an intangible distortion......EX-PLOSION!!

Two fiery magic circles appear overhead and the Explosion spell pour out of them and fly straight toward the Destroyer scoring direct hits. The giant mechanical spider comes crashing to the ground stopping a few yards away from the trench. The clones hunker down again while Darkness continues to stand her ground. The dust clears and everyone sees that the Mobile Fortress Destroyer is down.

Y/N: *sighs* We did it...

You see Megumin fall to her knees and you catch her before she hits the ground.

Y/N: (Heh, talk about deja vu.)

Megumin: *groans* That a lich for you. Her power will always be greater than mine.....So frustrating.

You wrap your arms around Megmuin and give her a big hug making her blush.

Y/N: You did a great job Megumin. I'm sorry for yelling at you like that.

She hugs you back resting her head on your shoulder.

Megumin: It's okay.......thanks for giving me your courage Y/N. (I'm just happy just being in your arms right now.)

Everyone cheers at the victory as you stand up with carrying Megumin.

Male Adventurer: They did it!

Male Adventurer: Now that it's over, I'm getting married.

Kazuma: (Those knuckleheads better shut up or they're gonna trigger a flag.)

Aqua: Now that it's done, let's all hit the bar. I can't wait to collect the reward.

Kazuma: Shut up you idiot! Your big, fat mouth's gonna get us killed!

Aqua: Huh?

Suddenly the giant spider's eyes are blinking red and sounding out an alarm.

Kazuma: There you go happy now?!

Y/N: Everybody stand-to! This isn't over yet!

Then female computerized voice comes from the Destroyer.

Destroyer Computer: Critical damage detected. All crew members evacuate immediately. Self-destruct sequence engaged.

SUPER EMERGENCY QUEST: PREVENT THE MOBILE FORTRESS DESTROYER FROM SELF-DESTRUCTING!!!

As the announcement goes off Adventurers at the run for their lives. The clones and Darkness still continues to stand her ground as you and Kazuma rush up to her while carrying Megumin.

Kazuma: C'mon Darkness! Let's get out of here!

Darkness: I cannot withdraw until the battle has ended. No matter how mighty the enemy, a knight must hold their ground. 

Y/N: Darkness....

Darkness: When I think about exposing myself to a bomb big enough to vaporize a whole town. I feel....

Kazuma: Huh?

Y/N: Oh no......

Darkness:  * heavy breathing* I feel a rising excitement I have never felt before. Will I be able to withstand the blast? No matter how sturdy I am, I doubt I shall survive unscathed.

Darkness is now blushing, sweating, and breathing shakily.

Darkness: I cannot stand this waiting.......Y/N!

Y/N: Yeah?

Darkness: I am going charge in there! Will you not join me?!

Kazuma: No you can't-

Ignoring Kazuma Darkness grabs her sword and charges right the wrecked Destroyer.

Darkness: Do not wait for me! *crazy laughter*

Y/N:(Oh to hell with it.)

You put Megumin on Kazuma's back and pull your rifle's charging handle.

Kazuma: Hey where are you going Y/N?

Y/N: Take care of her.

You then jump over the trenches.

Y/N: OVER THE TOP! SECURE THE WRECKAGE! FOLLOW ME!!

The clones climb out the trenches and charge with you to catch up to Darkness. Kazuma stands there with his mouth hanging open.

Kazuma: *sighs* Americans....

The Adventurers at the gate see you and Darkness charge the at the Destroyer.

Male Adventurer: Hey look, Darkness and Y/N are attacking it.

Male Adventurer: They intend to destroy it before it explodes.

Male Adventurer: They're trying to save to the town.

Male Adventurer: I'm gonna go with 'em! I owe my life to this town and its people.

Male Adventurer: I'm past level thirty, so should've left here ages ago.....But now I remember why I stayed in the town of beginning Adventurers.

Dust: Where else can a guy a party like a rock star for cheap? Here's our chance to repay this town for all its given us.

City Engineer: We protected this town from the Skaven! And by God we'll protect it from this!

Their morale restored Axel's Adventurer's join the attack and they reach the Destroyer. They throw hooked ropes and start climbing onto the top. Following that is a series of small explosions and gunfire as Kazuma leans Megumin against a rock. Wiz and your party members approach Kazuma's position.

Wiz: Kazuma, Mei has an idea!

Mei: The self-destruct must have a power source. If we can locate it, we should be able to shut it down.

Kazuma: Don't tell Darkness that, she has her heart set on getting blown up today.

Up at the top of the Destroyer your platoon have breached the defenses and storming the machines bridge. Aqua tries to weasel out.

Aqua: Looks to me they have everything under control now. Why don't we come back tomorrow when it's less crowded?

Kazuma grabs her hand and drags her toward the machine.

Kazuma: Oh shut up and come on!

Aqua: What?! NOOOO!

Kazuma and the other catch up to you as the Adventurers blast open the door to the cockpit. You and two riflemen move in to clear it out.

Y/N: Clear!

Wiz, Mei, and Kazuma dragging a more than a reluctant Aqua.

Aqua: *cough* I really don't want to be here.

Y/N: Hey, check out the pilot.

Wiz: Would you look at that, he's quite dead.

Mei: And it looks like this thing has been running on auto-pilot for who knows how long.

Aqua: Well, at least he's not undead. Look at him, he must've died peacefully without a single regret.

Kazuma: Wait, what are you talking about?! He died alone! I mean can you even imagine what that was like for him?

Y/N: You seeing a reflection of yourself there Kazuma?

Kazuma: Shut up Y/N!

Aqua: What's this?

Aqua picks up a book, brushes the dust off it, and begins reading it aloud.

Aqua: "I can't believe what these big shots want me to do. I have to make a mobile fortress for next to nothing. Cheapskates."

Kazuma: Damn, that's his diary.

Y/N: Keep reading Aqua.

Head Researcher: "They asked what I'd use to power it. Hell if I know. To get them off my back, I asked for something rare, coronatite." 

Aqua turns the page.

Head Researcher: "Damn it. They brought some, now what? If this doesn't work they'll execute me. It has too work. Please work. Please."

Aqua turns to the last entry.

Head Researcher: "Well, it's done and it's out of control.......OH MY GOD! THE KINGDOM'S FALLEN! EVERYONE'S DEAD!!......This thing works as ordered though. So hey, nice job me. Anyway, I can stop this thing and I can't get out. So I think I'll be spending the rest of my life in it. What kind of idiot forgets to make an off switch?.......Oh right, I'm the idiot that forgot to make an off switch."

Aqua closes the book, all of you are annoyed that all this happened because this terd brain of a scientist forgot to put in an off switch.

Aqua:.....The end.

Kazuma: YOU ASSHOLE!

Y/N: STUPID MOTHER FU-!

Party: KONOSUBA!!

The other Adventurers fell back to a safe distance and your party found the coronatite kept in a containment chamber with several pipes hooked onto it.

Kazuma: Dust and the others got out okay. So what do we do now?

Wiz: The coronatite could explode at any minute.

Y/N: Can't we just extract it?

Mei: From what I've read, coronatite's extremely unstable. It'll instantly detonate if not properly contained.

Y/N: Well that was a shot in the dark.

Kazuma: You're a goddess, can't you do something about it?

Aqua: Hm?

Kazuma: Don't "hm" me, ain't sealing away evil crap a basic goddess-y thing to do?

Aqua: What idiot gave you that idea? But I bet someone like Wiz can deal with it. Can't you Wiz?

Wiz: Uh....um.....I could use the Teleportation sp-

Aqua: Yeah, use that.

Wiz: But I can't, I don't have enough magic.....Um, Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah Wiz?

Wiz: I have a request.

Y/N: What is it?

Wiz gently grabs your face making you blush a little and Aqua giving a jealous glare.

Wiz: Will you please let me suck it out?

Kazuma & Aqua: WHAT?!!

Y/N: Excuse me?

Wiz: Your magic, let me suck it out using Drain Touch.

Y/N:.......Alright take what you need Wiz.

Wiz begins taking your magic and it causes you great pain.

Wiz: Drain Touch. I'm so sorry, just bear with it a little while longer.

Aqua: Hey stop it, that's enough. He's getting all shriveled up.

Wiz let's go and you collapse but Aqua catches you before you fall and holds you up over her shoulder.

Kazuma: That looked like it sucked.

Y/N: *chuckles* And not in the fun way.

Aqua: Is this really the time for dirty jokes?

Wiz: I think I have enough to use my Teleportation spell. Now, where to send it? There only a few places where I can.

Kazuma: Well, send it somewhere. That thing changed from glowing scary red to super scary white.

Wiz: I can send it away immediately if I do a random teleport.

Y/N: Do it.

Wiz: I don't know, what if it ends up going to a place where there are lots of people?

You take hold of of Wiz's hand and she blushes.

Y/N: That's just the risk we'll have to take. Whatever happens this was my call. Please Wiz, we're out of time.

Wiz:.....If you say so, I have faith in you Y/N.....Teleport!

The cornatite is teleported away and the Destroyer power downs.

Destroyer Computer: Initiating self-destru...

Your party heads outside to find Darkness standing guard.

Kazuma: Oh, there you are. It's over.

Darkness: Hardly, I can smell an opponent from a mile way.

Suddenly the machine is building up with heated pressure. It visually becomes hot and the eye's glass breaking. Everyone still on the machine bails off. Your party was about to do the same. But without a word Mei runs back inside.

Y/N: Mei!

Kazuma: Where the hell is she going?!

Y/N: I'm going after her! Rest of you get to a safe distance!

Aqua: But Y/N!

Y/N: Do it now!

Darkness:....Alright then.

You run back inside to catch up with Mei while the others fall back. Mei enters an elevator and you barley squeeze yourself in as the doors close and starts going down.

Y/N: What the hell are you doing?!

Mei: The pressure building up right? That idiot may not have installed a manual shut-down. But would have had safety valves to relieve the pressure in case something like this happened. If we can release the pressure it'll cool itself down.

Y/N:.....Well you're not doing it alone then.

Mei: You sure about this? You don't have to do this.

Y/N: I'm sure, but we'll need contingency plan.

You put your hand on your head. Outside the others have gotten to a safe distance.

Wiz: Oh no, it's become so hot inside the pressure has ruptured the hull.

Kazuma: Then why'd we bother with the coronatite?!

Darkness: Where are Y/N and Mei?

Y/N: (Everyone, can you hear me?)

Kazuma: The hell?! I just heard Y/N in my head!

Aqua: He must be using that Shadow spell that old crone taught him. Just concentrate and speak back to him. (Yes Y/N, we can hear you. Are you and Mei on your way out?)

Y/N: (No we're not.)

All: (WHAT?!)

Y/N: (Mei has a idea but it's a long shot. We're gonna open the safety valves and relieve the pressure.)

Wiz: (But Y/N, the pressure is building up fast. If it explodes, the firestorm will destroy the town. What if you and Mei don't make it in time?)

Y/N: (.......Then I want you to destroy this thing.)

Kazuma: (What?! Y/N are you nuts!)

Y/N: (Listen! Kazuma get Megumin back on her feet, charge her magic back up with Drain Touch, and when I tell you to. Cast an Explosion spell if we can't stop it in time. The controlled detonation should be enough destroy it without affecting the town.)

Aqua: (But Y/N, if you and Mei are caught in the explosion. I won't be able to resurrect you! You'll be gone forever! Please don't do this!)

Y/N: (I'm sorry, but we're out of time and options.)

The group has mix of sadness and anger on their faces and the thought having to sacrifice you and Mei to save the town.

Y/N: (I'm gotta go now......Wish us luck.)

Back in the elevator to take your hand away from your head and steel yourself.

Y/N: Did you get all that?

Mei: Y-Yeah.....I'm sorry I you put in this position.

Y/N: Don't be......Let's just do this.

The elevator arrives at the at the engine room the two of you move to see a series of valves and pipes steam hissing out of them at random.

Mei: We'll split up and turn as many valves you can to release the pressure.

Y/N: Got it.....Let's roll.

You and Mei split up to find as many valves as you can. When you find them you immediately turn them counter clockwise and and large amount of steam vents out them. You watch a pressure gauge slowly rise but you need to find the main pressure valve. Back outside Mohawk brought Megumin to the others. Kazuma uses Drain Touch on her and relays her the plan and she is not happy.

Megumin: Y-You want me to do what?! T-That's crazy! With Y/N and Mei still in there!

Kazuma: Believe me none of us want this. But it's either that or we lose the whole town.

Megumin starts tearing up.

Megumin: *voice breaking* But if I do that....I'll kill them! I'll kill Y/N and Mei! How could I live with myself if I did that!

The others feel the same anguish and distress as Megumin. Darkness still shows a stern look on her face despite her fist shaking.

Wiz: Can they do it?

Darkness: We must have faith that Y/N and Mei will make it in time.

Kazuma: Y-Yeah, Y/N hasn't let us down yet.

Aqua: Y/N, hurry.

Megumin: (Please Y/N, don't make me do this.)

Mohawk: C'mon kid, you can do it.

Back in the machine you and Mei have turned several valves but the pressure continues rise as well as the temperature inside the room.

Y/N: *wipes forehead* It's getting really hot in here! And pressure's not going down! We're running out of time!

Mei: Y/N! I think I found the main valve! Get over here! Hurry!

You quickly run over to where Mei is and she tries turn it but it's gotten to hot too touch.

Mei: Ow! It's too hot! What do we do?!

You see the pressure gauge is reaching critical levels.

Y/N:.......Screw it!

You grab the valve as tight you can immediately feel the hot metal searing the flesh in your hands. You let out a loud painful scream as you pull on the valve.

Mei: Y/N! Your hands!

Y/N: GRAB MY HANDS MEI! PULL WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT! DO IT NOW!

Mei grabs hold of both your hands and you pull with all you might and you finally get some leverage on the valve. When it moves a large amount of steam vents out and pressure gauge starts going down.

Y/N: Again!

You both pull on the valve again and the same thing happens.

Y/N: Come on! One more!

Stop music

You both give the valve one last turn then a big blast of steam force the both of you off the valve. You land on the floor with Mei on top of you and steam fills the room. Back outside a huge cloud of steam burst out of the giant spider. Everyone covers they're ears from the loud whistling. But when the steam clears everyone can see with total surprise that the Destroyer has completely cooled down.

Kazuma: They.....They did it.

Back inside Mei is on top of you the both of you are sweating and breathing heavily. You see that gauge has gone down.

Y/N: You.....You okay?

Mei: Yeah, I'm good.

Y/N: Looks we pulled it off.

Mei: Yep.

Y/N: Hey, you me told your in your world has super heroes in it. And your quirk put you in the Support Department right?

Mei: Yeah.

Y/N: Well, you're the hero today Mei. You really are a genius, I'm glad I met you, and that you joined up with us.

Mei now blushes like crazy.

Mei: Y-Y/N......(Honestly, you know just what to say to a girl.)

Y/N: You okay? Must be really hot in he-

Mei kisses you on the lips with your eyes wide open. A few seconds later she lets go leaving you a blushing mess.

Mei: T-That's for what you said......Thank you Y/N for everything.

Y/N: Y-Yeah.....Could you help me up? I can't really use my hands right now.

Mei: Sure.

Grabbing a hold of both your fore arms and using legs you manage to hoist yourself up. You look at the palm of your hands and see that they're badly burned. Mei escorts you to the elevator and you take it back up to the top. You both walk out of the bridge and sun blinds you both for a second. Then you can see it, crowds of Adventurers and townsfolk cheering for the both of you. Not being able use your hands Mei hugs from behind and turn you around. Launching her Wire Arrow in to the wall she rappels the both of you  down to the ground. Your party is eagerly waiting for you.

Y/N: Hey guys.

Aqua: Y/N, Mei you did it!

Darkness: Well done.

Megumin: You made it!

Kazuma: Way to go you two!

Wiz: That was wonderful Y/N!

Kazuma raise hand for a high five but you hesitate.

Kazuma: C'mon man, don't leave me hanging.

Y/N: I want to but......

You show everyone your burnt hands and they let out a gasp.

Aqua: Oh Y/N, your hands.

Aqua takes both of your hands and place them on her chest.

Aqua: Heal!

You take your hands way from her and look to see that your palms are completely healed you close your palms to make sure there's no pain.

Y/N: Thanks Aqua.

The first you do is give Kazuma his high five then grab Mei's wrist.

Mei: W-Wait Y/N what are you-?

Y/N: Here's the real hero today!

You raise Mei's hand over her head and the crowd cheers even more. Mei is now blushing and rubbing the back her head. Two big Adventurers pick her and place her on their shoulders hurling praises at her and carrying her off. The crowd walks off with Mei leaving only you Aqua, Megumin, and you. The both slightly hanging their heads.

Megumin: You're all better right Y/N?

Aqua: All healed up?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm feeling pret-

Without holding back Aqua slaps you across the face and Megumin stomps on your foot with angry tears in their eyes.

Aqua: Dummy!

Megumin: You big jerk!

Y/N: Ow! What I.....Oh yeah......

The two them give you a group hug.

Aqua: Don't scare me like that!

Megumin: Yeah! And don't you ever put me in a position like that again!

Y/N: I'm really sorry.....I'll make it all up to you.

Aqua:  You bet you are, you're paying for my drinks tonight.

Megumin: And you're buying me the most expensive meal on menu. Got it?

Y/N: *sighs* That's sound fair. Come on.

Aqua & Megumin: *nods* Mm-hm!

Back at the Guild Hall a huge celebration is going on everyone eating, drinking, toasting the victory and so on. Aqua getting plastered, Kazuma complaining to Aqua on how much it will cost,  Megumin eating the expensive meal you promised her. Darkness, Wiz, and Mei all getting praise from random Adventurers. As you have a few sips of your drink Sophie hugs you from behind.

Sophie: Hey Y/N, why don't you play us a song?

Y/N: Oh well I......

Kazuma: Yeah, that sounds awesome.

Aqua: *slurs* Yeah, let's hear that sexy voice of yours Y/N.~

Mei: Ohhh, I wanna hear it too.

Darkness: There's no pressure Y/N.....But I would like to hear you sing as well.

Megumin: Yeah, play that song you sang for me! I wanna hear it proper! Please, please!

Y/N: Oh, okay....

You stand in the middle of the Hall sitting on a stool and guitar resting on your lap with all eyes on you. You take a few breathes and start playing.

Luna leads you into an empty hallway and opens a door.

Luna: It's right in here.

Y/N: Okay.

You enter the room all you see a double bed with satin sheets and sweet scented candles light the room. When it all starts to add up you turn around to see the door already closing.

Before you can reach her she closes the door and locks it from her side. You futilely try to open the door but it's locked tight.

When you hear the voice to turn around and see Sophie standing in front of the bed wearing......

Back in the secluded room you and Sophie's clothes were scattered all over the floor. You and her were under the sheets her head resting on your chest. You warp your arm around her shoulder as she pecks you on the cheek. The both of you lay there basking in post-coital glow.

Y/N: Sophie, that was.....I don't even know what to say.

Kazuma: Man, this is great. Now we can get out there and go on some real adventures!

You rallied your party and headed to the Guild at first everyone is looking forward to it. That's was until the met the representative from the Capital and her armed escort. You already could feel the tension in the air. Even Luna could feel the some bad was about to happen.

Woman: You are Sir Y/N L/N, yes?

Y/N: That's correct.

Woman: You have been accused of the crime of planning a War of Aggression against the Kingdom of Belzerg in violation of the defensive treaty with the Empire of Man. I'm here to place you under arrest.

Hearing this your entire party's mouths hang low and you are at a complete loss for words.

Kazuma: Huh?

Y/N:.........

Woman: You are a knight of the Empire and you did order a massive cornatite to be teleported did you not? It completely destroyed Lord Aldarp's mansion.

Y/N:.......

Mei: But if Y/N didn't teleport that cornatite away then.....

Darkness: No, it can't be....

Kazuma: B-But Y/N he.....

Megumin: There's no way Y/N could do something like that!

Aqua: So, um are we still getting the reward?

Kazuma: Are you that stupid?! Y/N is being accused of war crimes!

Realizing this Aqua grabs your jacket collar with tears in her eyes.

Aqua: What are you going to do Y/N?! You're a war criminal! If they take you to jail, you can't kill the Devil King, and I'll never get back home!
