It wasn't long until Callie and Miranda went after the chief. We waited in the pit. Soon Teddy appeared. "Cristina. What are you doing?" She asked her.

"Oh, Bailey paged 911." Cristina said to her, and we had to listen to what Bailey said.

"Well, what happened to the chest tube?" Teddy asked her, I don't know if she wanted that answer.

"An intern's doing it, 'cause it's intern's work, which I love. I'm-I'm loving the back-to-basics thing. It's so valuable, but, uh, 911, so..." Cristina started before Teddy's partner showed up.

"Hey." He said to her with a smile.

"Oh, and you have to go. So no worries. We'll talk later." Cristina said before she joined us all on the bed.

"Um..." Teddy got out but it was too late. It was time for us to wait again. For Callie's return and Bailey's. Once Bailey came we got our yellow gowns on and got ready to assist.

"She was pinned under her car, her leg was amputated in a pit of dirt, her abdomen is pulp, and her pelvis is probably crushed. You will work together to assess her injuries and repair them." Bailey said to us and I nodded at her with a smile, I knew this patient so I'd be the best here.

"Oh, in the OR?" April asked her, where else did she think. Space?

"No, at the Jiffy Lube. Yes, in the OR. Now, Dr. Torres will supervise your work. If you're killing her, she will step in. Otherwise, you're on your own. Don't screw this up like you screwed everything else up you've touched lately. Apart from you Y/n, you've not messed anything up." Bailey said before walking into the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, step away from the patient." Bailey said and we all walked in. Everyone was talking over one another. We then started looking everything over until I saw Callie wave me over.

"Y/n, I hate to do this but I might need you to help Owen. If he's with Danny, he'll need someone with him." She said to me and I nodded at her with a smile.

"That's fine and if you need me for anything page me." I said to her before I went next door to see Owen who had just come out.

"How is she? Is she okay?" He asked me and I looked at him. It was hard to determine what was happening. I wasn't there anymore.

"The last time I saw her she was stable. We're hoping she stays that way." I said to him, it wasn't that long until Owen came back. We then took him to CT and checked him over.

"Danny, you have a little bit of blood in your brain, so I'm gonna have one of my colleagues take a look at your films." Owen told him as Danny came out the machine.

"Is it bad?" He asked us and we looked at him.

"It's probably nothing, but I just don't want to take any chances." Owen said to him with a reassuring smile.

"Did-did Susannah wake up?" He asked us and I looked at him.

"Not yet unfortunately." I said to him, she was in surgery.

"They're starting her surgery now. And she does have some internal bleeding that they need to repair." Owen said and Danny tried to sit up, we both hoped him to sit up slowly.

"Well, and wh-when will y...when will you tell her about her leg, after the surgery?" Danny asked us and we would, but first we'd have to make sure she was stable.

"We'll just see how it goes, all right?" Owen asked and Owen began to move him into a wheelchair.

"But-but...I-I...will she be able to feel it? I mean, what if...what if she sees it..." Danny said and he was nervous. I would be too if that was me.

"Danny..."

"Nobody's told her yet." Danny said to us but they would. At some point.

"Her leg is not the big problem right now, ok? She just needs to get through the surgery. But she has an incredible team working on her. Really, they're unbelievable." Owen said trying to reassure. I was hoping that everything was going ok in the OR. But let's face it, it was going to be in shambles. We took the scans to Derek and he started to look at them.

"It's a rim subdural. It'll probably reabsorb. I'm not that concerned. You should keep an eye on it." Derek said as he was taking notes. I know that he was having issues with Mer but I hadn't seen her since this morning.

"Good." Owen said before I got a page.

"I'll be back. But you two look like you need to talk." I said to him before I walked away. The page was from Meredith. I then went to where she needed. That's when I saw Zola.

"I've done something bad." She said to me and I looked at her. What had she done.

"How bad?" I asked her and she then started to page Cristina.

"I'll tell you when Cristina arrives." She told me and when Cristina arrived Mer looked at the two of us.

"I think I stole a baby." She said to us, my jaw dropped slightly.

"Well, you haven't in a way. She's your." I said to her and that's was true. Mer had adopted her at the end of the day.

"Ok, first of all, you didn't steal the baby. She's your a baby. What you did is, you took her for a nap. In a very odd location and you failed to answer your phone. But, you know, many people find all the technology in our lives to be intrusive. So you're not the first person who didn't answer her phone...or her pager. Well, and, you know, all we have to do is- -is find a reason why you were AWOL for an hour." Cristina said to her and I looked at Mer.

"Exactly what she said. Beside we can easily figure something out that you could've done for an hour." I said to her with a smile, this was easy to resolve.

"Four...hours. Janet was gonna take the baby, so I took off." She said to her and maybe Janet wasn't going to take the baby.

"Ok. Ok. You know, people make mistakes. I mean, I almost killed Alex in the OR today. So we'll just figure it out." Cristina said to us and I looked at her.

"We'll come up with a plan, don't worry." I said to her and I had no idea what we could.

"How?" Mer asked us.

"No idea yet." I said to her whole looking away.

"I don't know." Cristina said while looking at me.

"No. How'd you almost kill Alex?" Mer asked and I wanted to know as well.

"With a CC of epi. What-whatever. You know, he'll be fine. Just, um...Just stay here. We'll fix this." Cristina said to her and we started to leave.

"You don't need to worry at all." I said to her with a nod.

"What are you gonna do?" She asked us and I looked at her.

"We're gonna fix it." Cristina and I said together. We were somehow, I don't know how but we would. It didn't me long until I could free up a room. Soon I'd be getting the others to go there, and just like that my end of the plan was sorted. I then went to see Callie.

"How is she?" I asked her and Callie looked at me. She'd gone through it all.

"She's good but I'm never letting you off my service again, that was the worst surgery I've ever watched." She said to me and I looked at her. It must've been awful.

"Well, next time I won't leave so easily. I'll pick a fight before anything." I said to her and she looked at me with a smile and a nod.

"I'm glad that you said." She said before she left. This is why Callie and I got on so much better. As I walked the halls I got a coffee before I saw April and Jackson sitting outside the room I got for Mer.

"What's happening in there?" I asked them and Jackson looked at me.

"Shepherd and Meredith are in there with the social worker. They might have to take Zola away." He said and I instantly got my phone out.

"I'm going to call my mum, I want to see Caleb." I said to him and he nodded at me. All I wanted to do was see my own son now.

"Tell me when he's here." He said to me and I nodded. We kissed and before I went downstairs and waited for Mum to bring Caleb in. Once she did I hugged him before we went around the hospital.

"Why am I here?" He asked me and I looked at him.

"I wanted to see and Jackson did as well. I don't know why." I said to him and messaged Jackson. We went to the cafeteria while we waited for him. When he came downstairs he shook his head at me. Zola had been taken from me.

"I think Mer might need you." He said to me and I nodded at him.

"Caleb, Jackson's going to stay with you as I go and see your Aunt Mer." I said to him before I left and went to find her. When I did she was with Alex. I immediately hugged her, she didn't deserve this at all. She deserved to be a mother to that little girl more than anyone. Now that was taken from her as well.
