After a few days I decided that instead of going to that apartment I was moving it. So I started looking for apartments close to the hospital and I found one. Five minutes away from the hospital, it was perfect. Today we were all in charge, by 'we' I mean all of us residents. "I have great faith in you. Great faith. I can because I chose you. I trained you. I've watched you work. I know what you can do. That's why today's different. The training wheels are coming off, people. I'm throwing down the gauntlet today, people. You know what you need and I know what you need." Webber said to us, he did continue on but I was excited that we were being let go.

"Navy scrubs?" Mer asked him.

"Attending scrubs. You are Argentines today. Run the cases. Take point. But ding be a fool. If you get in over your head, cry 'uncle.' Until then, congratulations. You've just been promoted." Webber said before leaving. These scrubs looked nice. I instantly started changing into them.

"Um, Chief Webber? Sorry. I-I didn't any scrubs." I heard Lexie asked, she wasn't one of us.

"This is for fourth-year residents only, Grey. It's just a regular day for you." Webber said to her before leaving.

"Well, fine. If they're gonna be attending that makes me chief resident." Lexie said before Alex and I got to her,

"Uh, that makes you our scut monkey." Alex said to her with a smile.

"We'll treat you fairly though." I said to her with a smile.

"No, it doesn't." She said to us before I left the room. Today was going to strange. But the best kind. I went to the nurses station and was handed a binder.

"Here you go." She said to me, Alex and Jackson then joined April and I.

"Thank you." I said to her while taking the binder. I then started going over the charts.

"Here you go. Here you go." She said while handing it them to Jackson and Alex. We then left. I saw Callie and we got went off together. She asked me questions about the case before we went into the patient room.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Y/l/n." I said to our patient with a smile. I had to do a hip replacement which would be easy.

"Gregory Hudson." He said to me while outstretching his hand. I shook it.

"I'm Dr. Torres, I will be watching over Dr. Y/l/n today." She said to him shaking his hand.

"I see that you're getting a hip replacement today." I said to him while looking at his chart.

"My age has caught up to me which means my bones have as well." He said to me, I looked at him.

"You look only 25." I said to him with a smile.

"Really? I'd say 22." Callie said to him making him smile a bit.

"You two are too kind." He said to us with a smile. Callie left and I did a regular checkup on him. So far I was doing well, if I wasn't Callie definitely wouldn't have left. After I did the checkup I went to see Callie.

"Is everything ok with Mr. Hudson?" She asked me, seeming as I'd just left him.

"Mr. Hudson's fine but I just wanted to wish you luck for your presentation." I said to her with a smile, she smiled back at me.

"Thank you, I will make sure we get that money for our department." She said before walking away. I then went to see my other patients. I had two patients to discharge and someone with a knee injury, Grey was going to be helping me with that whilst I got someone else to do post-ops. When Mr. Hudson's post-ops I started prepping the OR. Once it was ready we took him down and I scrubbed in. After the surgery I scrubbed out as they took Mr. Hudson back up to his room. I then went to find Callie. "How'd Mr. Hudson's surgery go?" She asked me, as we started walking down the hallway.

"It went well. There was no issues the whole time and all his vitals are stable." I said to her with a smile. She stopped and looked at me.

"I'm proud of Y/n. You really proved to me that your capable of doing anything." She said to me with a smile, I looked down.

"I learnt from the best. Without you, I may not have been able to have done that." I said to her with a smile, she looked at me.

"Are you forgetting that when I was in surgery when you had that triage patient. You did a surgery by yourself and Webber allowed it. You have been killing it in ortho since you started." She said to me with a smile.

"Now, let's change the subject, how did the presentation go?" I asked her with a smile, she groaned.

"Not very well. I think I was talking about myself too much rather than the pitch." She said to me, I looked at her.

"Well, if he doesn't pick your amazing pitch, then he's stupid." I said to her before we checked on Mr. Hudson. Who was awake.

"Did the surgery go well?" He asked while looking at the two of us.

"Dr. Y/l/n did the perfect job. You should be discharged in a few days." Callie said to him, Mr. Hudson stuck his hand out.

"Thank you Dr. Y/l/n I was skeptical at first when I found out that you were being supervised. But I was wrong, you seem to be amazing at your job and you'll go far." He said to me making me smile. Today was a success and if anything it would make me a better surgeon.
