Waiting for Tyler to come back felt like a lifetime. The floor was getting cold or was that just me imagining it. When he came back he just had an IV.

"I thought you were going to get the bullet out?" Ken said before wiping tears away. She wasn't in a good space.

"I cannot be the one who kills my sister. He may have pulled the trigger but what happens next could be my fault." He said, he was true. I'd hate if he was the one who killed me.

"Fair enough." I said to him, Ken started calling 911.

"This is, Dr. Kennedy Y/l/n. My sister, Dr. Y/n Y/l/n, has been shot. We are on 5. She's bleeding out, we need help." She said to them, hopefully someone would come and get us but I didn't like my chances.

"We've got to get her to the OR." Tyler said after the call ended. He got the IV in me but I didn't feel it.

"How are we gonna move her?" Kennedy asked him in a panic. He pointed and the bed cover. She picked it up.

"Lay it out in the ground. We'll move her onto it." He said, she laid it out before she grabbed my feet. And Tyler grabbed my shoulders.

"Three, two, one." She said before they picked me up and moved me. It hurt so badly.

"Get ready to lift the cover." He said to us, and she nodded. On the count of three they lifted up the cover. "How are you feeling Y/n?" He asked me as they managed to get out of the room.

"I'm as good as I can be." I said to them. "I'm tired." I said to them both.

"You are not closing your eyes." Ken said to me. They put me down for a second.

"If you want to die, go ahead but just remember that you didn't want to try and live! But I cannot be here and see my little sister die!" He shouted, I nodded.

"I don't want to die but there's no way to take me to an OR and we don't know when their going to come and take us to out of the building." I said to them, it could be another half hour before that happens. We stayed where we were for a few minutes before they moved me again. As they were carrying me I headed a familiar voice as we were nearly at the elevators.

"There's a hum elevators make when they are on. There's a hum. There's no hum." I heard Bailey say, I had no chance. I was going to die here.

"What does that mean?" I heard a woman say.

"It means the elevators, they're off! The elevators aren't working! The elevators aren't working! We need to get to the OR! Turn the elevators back on! Turn them back on! Oh, damn it! Turn the elevators back on!" Bailey screamed, I could hear the desperation in her voice. It was enough to make Tyler start crying when we got to them he placed me down. I saw Charles was in the same state.

"Please! That man is still here somewhere. He'll hear us! Please, stop. Please, Dr. B!" The patient said to her, she must've had a good relationship with Bailey.

"Not Y/n as well. Ok. Ok." Bailey said while seeing me, this must be killing her.

"What are we gonna do?" She asked Bailey.

"I was going to do surgery but I can't do it without an OR and I don't want to kill me sister." Tyler said before breaking down. I hated seeming him like this.

"What are we gonna do?" She asked again. "Dr. B, what's the plan? You have a plan, right, Dr. B? What do we do? Please?" She asked Bailey, Kennedy leaned on the station and sobbed. I couldn't bare seeing my family like this. Bailey walked over and she was crying. "We can't get to the OR, but they have to get to the OR. They have to get to the OR, or they're...Dr. B?" She asked again.

"Miranda. We should all be on a first name basis. Miranda." Bailey said before sitting down. She pulled Charles onto her lap but she grabbed my hand. "Ok." She said, Charles removed his oxygen mask. He was in a worse state.

"I'm dying, right?" He asked us. I looked at Tyler who looked like he had a plan. "Am I dying now?" He asked again, his voice was lower.

"Yes. Yes, Charles, you are dying. But I don't want you to worry. I don't want you to be afraid. 'Cause I...am not going to leave you, OK? Mary. Mary. Mary. Mary, Kennedy, Y/n's brother and I, are gonna be with you, the whole time. You are not alone. You hear me? You are not alone." Bailey said to him while crying. Tyler walked over to us.

"I'm- -I'm going to try and get out of this hospital and get someone up here to take them out." Tyler said to us, I looked at him.

"Be safe. Mum won't be able to cope if two of us go down." I said to him, he nodded before running off. And now I was just left with Kennedy.

"Kennedy, come and hold your sister's hand." Bailey said and Ken came over and took my hand. This had to be the end for me as well.

"I don't hurt anymore. Pain's gone. That's a bad sign, isn't it?" Charles said to us, I could still feel pain but I don't know how much longer I could.

"Yes." Bailey said to him.

"Can you do something for me? Can you find Reed? When this is over, can you find her? I always...I always had a crush on her. I don't think she knows." Charles said to us, he could tell Reed herself seeming as she was gone.

"She knows. Girls always know." Mary said to him, not all the time.

"Yeah?" Charles asked her.

"Yeah." Mary responded.

"But can you tell her anyway? Can you find her and tell her I loved her? I loved her so much." Charles said to us, I knew how much he loved her. When Charles and I would talk he'd try and ask for advice and I'd give it to him.

"Ok." Bailey said to him. I hated seeing her crying.

"And you tell her...you tell her I was a catch. You tell her I was a hot, hot catch and she missed out on a great guy." Charles said to her, Reed did miss out.

"All right." Bailey said to him.

"And you tell her I was brave. Even if I turn coward and start crying and asking for my mom in a minute. You lie and tell her I died brave, ok?" Charles said, I felt like I was gonna start calling mum in a second.

"You are very brave, Charles. Ok? I'm the coward. I'm the one that told that man I was a nurse." Bailey said, she wasn't a coward for that.

"You're smart." Charles said to her.

"Tyler did the same thing you were both wise." I said to Bailey with a smile. I was trying to keep my spirits high. Charles started to cry.

"You were smart. I wish I was that smart. Tell her I loved her, you won't forget?" Charles said to her, I felt Ken bring my hand up to her cheek.

"I won't forget." Bailey said to him.

"Ken, if you're using my hand to itch your face you could be told me first." I said to her while fainting laughing but it hurt to do so.

"I know you don't like me." Charles said to Miranda.

"I like you." Bailey said with a laugh.

"No, you don't. You were always my favorite doctor, I thought you should..." Charles said before taking his last breath.

"Charles, no." I got out before crying. "Miranda, I'm scared." I said to her, she was crying a lot.

"I know you are Y/n. But it's going to be okay." She said to me, it wasn't.

"Miranda, we had some good times. Promise me that if anything happens you'll talk to Caleb and tell him that I loved him so much and he's all I need. And tell Jackson that I'm sorry and he can move on." I said to her she nodded and wiped some of her tears.

"I will, I promise you that. But you are not leaving your little boy alone." She said before breaking down. I was just waiting for someone to get us. When SWAT came I was barely alive.

"Dr. Tyler Y/l/n, said that you were in desperate need up here. We're gonna get you out." He said to us, Miranda nodded along with Mary and Kennedy. Miranda went off to get a stretcher before coming back. They got me onto the stretcher before taking me outside.

"GSW to the stomach, she's critical and she's already lost a lot of blood." Miranda said to the paramedics once we were outside. It felt nice feeling the sun on my discoloured skin.

"We need to get her to Seattle Pres straight away." The paramedic said before they got me in the back. I was losing consciousness.

"Stay with me Y/l/n, you're not checking out now when you've come this far." Ruth told me. I was trying so hard.

"But I'm so tired." I said between breaths. I ended up losing consciousness. After what felt like a lifetime I saw a light shining. My eyes fluttered open. I didn't know where I was. When I looked around I saw my Mum asleep beside me holding my hand. I squeezed her hand with all my might. I had to do it again before she noticed.

"She's awake! Johnny she's awake!" Mum said while hitting his arm, he left the room. "Don't try and move okay." She said to me, the curtains were open in the room and I saw that it was dark outside. Was the nurse came she removed the tube from my throat.

"Charles? How's Charles?" I asked them, she looked at me.

"He's gone, I know he was one of your friends." She said to me.

"What about Alex? Jackson? Mer? Cristina?" I asked her, she looked at Johnny.

"Alex is here, he was shot but he's stable. Jackson, is ok. He came and sat with you for a few hours he was talking to you and apologising for everything. Cristina and Meredith are also ok they're with Dr. Shepherd and Dr. Hunt. They were both shot but they're ok." She said to me while holding my hand. Why did all of my friends have to be shot.

"Where's Bailey?" I asked them, they looked at each other.

"She's in the waiting room. Do you want me to get her?" Dad asked me, I nodded and he left to go and get get. When she came in Dad and Mum left.

"Don't worry I called my babysitter to look after Caleb." She said to me while sitting beside me.

"Bailey- -" I started before she cut me off.

"Y/n, we're on first name basis now, it's Miranda to you." She said to me and I nodded.

"Miranda, thank you for staying with me. I know that today wasn't easy on you after Charles dying. I can't imagine how you feeling when you looked at me. But I'm here and it's because of you." I said to her with a smile.

"I was thinking that I was going to lose another amazing surgeon. I'd lost O'Malley and then I was going to lose you as well. But I'm so relieved that you held on." She said to me, we continued talking until the nurses said that it was time for me to get some rest. I was definitely going to struggle trying to enter the hospital again.
