Hey Chris,

I just wanted to check in with you. I heard from Ashley that you turned down a position to work with us in the Future Affairs Department. I'll admit that I'm a bit disappointed. And I want you to know that I'm taking this very personal. I thought we were bros. The least you could have done was call me up, man. Here I was getting all excited that we'd be in the same place again, then you bail on us. And I had to hear about it from somebody else. I'm hurt. You definitely owe me a six-pack for that.

And I'm not talking Bud Light either. Nope, it has to be something European. But as torn up as I am about this, I think it's going to be even harder on Matt. I called him up the other day. Dude was practically in tears when I told him you weren't joining the team. I could hear the pain in his voice when he asked me, "who's going help me eat the vegan starters now?" And I didn't even know what to say to him, because you know I won't do that — too many things that grow on trees for me.

Don't even get me started on Daisuke. Yeah, that's right you hurt him too. I won't even bother telling you what he said when I told him. Do you even know how hard it is to listen to someone cry in Japanese? Of course, you don't. Because all you think about is yourself. And you know what, I don't think beer is gonna cut it anymore, so scratch that.

There's only one thing you can do to make this up to us. Don't even bother trying to get out of it or I'll come to Montana and put you on the plane myself. The only possible way you can make this up to us is to come to Vegas. Don't worry about the plane ticket, I've got that covered. But I won't be covering your spending money once you show up. I figure you can handle that. The hotel is all booked and your itinerary should be in your email by tomorrow. I'll be there to pick you up at the airport because I'm hospitable like that despite everything you put me through.

See you soon,
Mitch
