At midnight

Abhi woke up from sleep and saw his lifeline sleeping cutely hugging him so tight. He saw his face which was only showing innocence and love towards him. When he saw him the flashback scenes came in front of his eyes...

FLASHBACK.

18 years ago.....

A 7 years old boy is shown doing the last rituals of his parents who died in a car accident. He was doing the things which was said by the priest in a age which he can't even understand for what those rituals and all. But the only thing he knows is his mom and dad is not gonna come to him again forever.

They will not come to wake him up with the morning kiss. They will not come to make him ready for the school. They will not come to pick him up from school again. Moreover he can't see them again forever.

Tears were coming non stop from his eyes but a loud cry sound made him to come out of his thoughts and without even thinking about the rituals he ran towards the direction of that sound. It was a cry of baby.

He went to the cradle where 2 and half months baby was crying loudly. He went and took the baby in his arms and started to sooth it by rocking to and forth.

Abhi: ashu...why are u crying my baby .. see I am here...Dada is here ...don't cry baccha....

After hearing his dada's voice and feeling the most warmth touch he became silent as if he knows that his dada's arms are the safest place in the world....sid was with his mom and dad when the accident took place. But it seems God has some kindness so he left Sid with Abhi for him as reason to live.

After making him sleep again Abhi finished the last rituals of their parents....after that Abhi's only reason of living was Sid. He always took care of him and doesn't allowed any harm near him. He did everything to sid what he can. They were in orphanage till Abhi turns 18. But he did part time jobs for giving sid a good life.

After Abhi was 18 and he adopted sid and became his guardian legally....sid was 11 when they came out of the orphanage. Abhi started his college life and worked in RAGHAV group of companies.

Abhi was always a good and sincere worker. Because of him the company gained more and more deals. He was financially stable and sid was also happy being with him ......

Abhi's thoughts was broken when he saw sid waking up from sleep.

Abhi: what happened Sid....why did u woke up....

Sid: Dada....I am hungry.....he said rubbing his stomach...

Abhi: ok come lets go and eat....

They went to kitchen and took the note left by kaka....Abhi took the food from the fridge and heated it up.

After that abhi feed him with some chit chats. After finishing , they saw the time was 3.15 am....

Sid: Dada....let's go for a walk...

Abhi: what...at this time...see it's 3.15 am...

Sid: it's ok...we are not sleepy na...plz plz plz......

Abhi: ok ok...let's go....

Then they took their mobile and went for a walk. They went through their street and reached the main road. Sid started screaming as soon as they reached main road.

Sid: Dada....see there ice cream....

Abhi: no sid...it's 3 in the morning....if u eat ice cream now u will catch cold...

Sid: please please Dada ..only one....please....he asked with his world famous cute puppy face....can Abhi be stubborn after seeing his puppy face....

Abhi: ok only one....

Sid: thank u Dada...

They crossed the road.  While crossing sid was holding abhi's hand like a 3 year old kid hold his father's hand. They reached the ice cream stall and they ordered their fav ice cream and started to eat.

Abhi: sid...

Sid: ha Dada...

Abhi: I want to ask u something ...

Sid: ask me Dada...

Abhi: why did u asked me like that...

Sid expression changed and looked at him.

Abhi: please Sid....u trust me na...then tell me what happened....

Sid: I will tell u but promise me u will not do anything after that....

Abhi: it means something bad has happened....

Sid: Dada please ....

Abhi: ok ok I will not do anything now tell me....

Sid: my seniors bullied me and they said i am a bad luck so only mumma and papa left us.....his eyes was teared up now...

Abhi(wiping his tears): sid....how many times I have to tell u....u are my lucky charm....this company money mansion everything is now with us means it's because of u only....

Do u remember .....before 5 years when I started the new company and I was nervous to send the presentation to the other company u just pressed the send button playfully and that day only our life started to grew up...and now we are here...what I said may be kiddish....but its the truth ashu....u are my lucky charm and u are my lifeline....so please don't ever talk like that ok....

Sid: ok dada....ha said and finished his ice cream.

They were talking when suddenly Abhi noticed a car coming in a hight speed towards Sid. Abhi quickly pulled sid towards him and the car crossed them so closely.

Sid got scared and hugged Abhi so tightly and started to shiver. This may be a carelessness of that driver or a co  incidence. But it made Sid to remember the past. He started shivering more and his eyes started watering.

Abhi was also in shock but he composed himself when he felt sid shivering out of fear....

Abhi: ashu...ashu it's ok ..nothing happened...I am here na...calm down baccha.....

Sid became normal after sometimes. The ice cream stall owner gave them water and abhi made him to drink it.

Sid: Dada....it was them right...they....

Abhi: no.. no sid....it's nothing ...don't be scared ok....I am with u na....now come lets go home....

They went home and abhi made him to sleep. Sid was clutching abhi's shirt tightly in fear and drifted to sleep. But Abhi was disturbed by the incident.

' I won't do anything to him....but if something happens to him means the reason will be me.....' Raghavs words were echoing in his minds.

Abhi: what if he tries to harm Sid again.....

FLASHBACK

5 years ago....

Abhi working in the Raghavs company from 2 years and he has finished his college. Sid is 13 years old.

As Abhi was sincere to his work always and he is honest too.

When their life was going smooth, Abhi was in an idea of starting his own business with some money from his father's property. But he was not in a confidence about that.

It was around 6.30 in the eve. Everyone in the office have left and abhi was doing his remaining work in his cabin.Raghav came to him.

Raghav: Hello Abhishek....

Abhi: hello sir...why u came here....if u gave a call means I would have came to ur cabin na....

Rag: it's ok....I need to talk to u something important...so only....

Abhi: tell me sir....

Rag: I want u to do a presentation and to attend the meeting of  LAL enterprises.

Abhi was shocked to here that from him. As everyone in the business world knows that LAL enterprises is a huge one and also about their illegal businesses all over the country.

Abhi: but sir....they are not good na...they are involved in illegal businesses too....

Rag: i know that very well Abhi....and our company is going to sign a deal with them for weapons trading....

Abhi: u mean u are also going to do illegal business....

Rag: this is my company abhi....the desicion is taken by only me....u are my worker and also u will do what I say....why I am giving this work to u means u are really talented at the age of  20 itself....if u do this u will become so powerfull in upcoming years....

Abhi: but I am sorry sir....I don't want to be powerfull....I just want to be a honest man in my life ...even i want to be rich and powerfull but only in a honest way...and now I think I will not be able to work in this company anymore thank u....

He said and started to go towards the door. But Raghav smirked at him.

Rag: I very well know Abhi...u will tell like this only....but do u think I will leave u without doing my work....

Abhi turned and looked at him suspiciously. Raghav came near him and suddenly grabbed his hand and pinned him to the wall with gun on his back head.

Rag: see u will do this....u are not going anywhere before finishing my work...now come lets go....

He said and dragged him to the elevator. Abhi couldnt do anything as he was holding him on gun point. The elevator reached the underground floor. Abhi didn't even know about this floor in these 2 years. That floor was only for illegal business activites of Raghav. He dragged him out of the elevator and pushed him towards a table with full office set up.

On the other hand.

It was nearly 7.30. Abhi was not home yet. Sid was watching tv. But his mind was fully on abhi

Sid: why Dada is not home yet ...it's 7.30 now....usually he will come before 6.30 na....shall we call him ...what if he is busy....ok let's wait for sometime and then we will call him.

He continued watching. It was 8 now.

Sid: let's call him....it's really late....and i am hungry...he said to himself and went to the telephone to call him. He was about to make call but he stopped when the door bell rang ...

Sid: I think he is here....he went and opened the door. But as soon as he unlocked the door...someone barged inside pushing the door harshly and making him to fall back.

Sid: who are u...get out of my house....

That guy who entered slapped him hard and actioned him to be silent.

Sid: wh..who are u....I will tell to Dada that u slapped me....

That man smirked and took a gun out from his back. Sid got scared and backed off.

Sid: what do u want....

Man: come with me....

Sid: no....I will not...

Man: shut up and come if u want ur Dada alive...

Sid: what ..Dada ..where is he....what did u do to him....he asked crying....

He came and grabbed Sids hand tightly

Man: I said u to shut up....now come....he dragged him but he struggled. That man got irritated and took him on his shoulders and went away.

With Abhi.

He saw the surrounding was fully dusty and creepy. Also he saw some goons there. He understood what Raghav is upto and his real business matters. He pushed him to a table which was in a fully office set up.

Rag: the deatails are here and the laptop is here....make the presentation now ...and u will go home only after attending the meeting tomorrow...and yeah keep it in ur mind that the deal must be successfull....he said in a threatening voice. But Abhi was stubborn.

Abhi: if u really want the deal means do it urself.....u can't force me to do it....and I will not do it...he said throwing the files to the ground.

But he was shocked when he heard a voice.

' leave me...let me go....who are u...' the voice which he never wanted to hear in his life....the crying voice of sid. He turned and saw him in that mans hold and he struggling and crying....

Abhi: sid....

Sid: Dada....let me go....he said struggling more.

Abhi tried to run to him but Raghav stopped him.

Rag: u underestimated me abhi....I know each and everything about u....and i know that he is ur only reason to live ...what if he is no more ...ha....

Abhi: you....he said holding his collor.

Raghav frees himself from abhi's hold and slapped him...

Sid: Dada....

Rag: Abhi....why are u forgetting something...see there....

Abhi saw sid at gun point....

Abhi: no...no please leave him please ...he pleaded to Raghav. He signalled his man to leave him. Sid quickly ran to Abhi and hugged him crying.

Abhi: sid...sid don't cry....Dada is here na...please baccha....don't cry....

Sid: Dada he...he slapped me....he said pointing towards the man.

Raghav smirked and pulled sid away from Abhi. Abhi was shocked and tried to get him back but the other men came and held him.

Rag: see Abhi....now u know right...ur lifeline is in my hold ....so do the work and attend the meeting tomorrow....and also crack the deal....or else he will not come to u alive....now start working....he said and started to go to the elevator dragging sid with him.

Abhi started to work quickly. Now everything he wanted is his sid to be safe. He collected the papers which he threw on the floor and started to work where on other hand Sid was lying in a dark room crying in fear. Abhi was also crying non stop while doing the work. He was scared for sid.

The next day he somehow attended the meeting and cracked the deal....after that

Abhi: sir please....here is ur deal...I did what u said....but please now give me back my brother please.....

Raghav took his phone and called someone and turned to Abhi.

Rag: ur brother is lying unconcious in the side of bypass road...go and get him....he said laughing evily.

Abhi without wasting a second ran from there. He took his bike and went to the bypass road. He saw sid sitting half conciously on the other side....

Abhi: ashu.....

Sid: Dada....he saw him got up to go to him...

Abhi: ashu stay there...I am coming....

But sid was not in a state to listen him. He was half drugged and he started to cross the road with trembling legs. Abhi was also coming from another side....but....

As Raghav's plot a car came in full speed and hit sid and went from there. Abhi was just numb seeing the scene before him. He ran to him. He saw sid in pool of blood lying on ghe road. He quickly hugged him crying.

But he composed himself and took him to hospital. From god's grace sid was fine...

Doc: see Abhi...he is fine...but from now u have to take care of him because he is really weak and this accident has made him mentally scared of everything....so it's ur responsibilty to take care of him....

Abhi: off course doc I will take care of him....

After that abhi came out of Raghavs company and that incident made him to be a confident one and he sold his father's property and started his own company. He worked hard in everyway and he made friendship with every other businessmen. And he made his company to be in top 3 in just 5 years and also he took care of sid always....from that accident he never allows him to go anywhere alone and also dont allow him to drive. Sid was also affected badly by that incident....he became so weak by mind and gets scared easily and also he was scared of dark. But everything he knows is his Dada will be there for him.....

FLASHBACK ENDS..... 

Abhi also drifted to sleep thinking about all these. In the morning asusaul he got ready and made Sid to eat his breakfast.. they were in the car and sid noticed the car is not going in the way of his college....

Sid: Dada...this is not the way to college na....

Abhi: u are not going college today ...u are coming to office ...

Sid: haa really but yy.....

Abhi: because there is some work....u have to sign some of the papers.....

Sid: ohh kk...but I am happy....I am gonna be with u full day and also I am going meet Vaishu di.....yaaayyy....he said so happily....

Abhi smiled at him seeing him happy...

Abhi mindvoice: please god... keep him happy like this always.....please....
