Finding A Way In
Ojiro set down the cup of tea Shinso gave him, mirroring Shinso's blank look."You still haven't found anything?" he asked.
"No," Shinso mumbled, disappointed."I thought there might be some way for someone like me to get over the boarder but it doesn't look that way. I've searched everywhere I could but wound up with nothing."
Ojiro's tail drooped down, a clear sign of sadness. He wanted Shinso over the boarder just as much as Shinso wanted to get over."I'll bring you some books from the royal Todoroki library. They are very knowledgable so I'm sure there is something in those books about passing the boarder."
"Thanks, Ojiro," Shinso said.
"You're welcome." Ojiro smiled back, taking another sip of his tea."The Todoroki Kingdom will always favor you as long as you ask."
"As I've been told."

There was a pounding on Shinso's door. It was after hours, pitch black out and Shinso was about to go to sleep. It was annoying but, as he pondered just leaving it alone, his curiosity, coupled with something else lingering in his mind, forced him up and to the front door.
"What is i-"
"Please help us!" The female at the door asked, panicked look on her face. Behind her was as rather large group of people, most of who were lightly injured. To her right was a man carrying someone in his arms who looked to be passed out.
Shinso instinctively let them in, cleaning off his kitchen table so they could set the man atop it."What happened?" Shinso asked, tearing the mans shirt open to address his wounds.
"Troll attack," someone answered.
"It was real messy!"
"We barely got out alive!"
"Hey, is he going to be okay?"
"God, that sucked."
"Monoma will be okay, right?"
"Good thing I put my barrier up in time."
"Shut up, I was the one who did all the work!"
"He's so dead."
"Shut up!" Shinso shouted, irritation growing. The group of people instantly quieted."I can't work with all you talking, go and wait outside until I finish treatment."
Everyone started to obediently file out of his house. The girl who originally knocked on his door came up to him."He will be okay, right?" she asked.
"As long as he doesn't crave death he should be fine," Shinso said back, making the girl look a bit queasy. She still left, but not without a bit of hesitance.
Shinso turned back to his patient. He was skilled in herds, but that was completely different from medicine. Though he did make lots of medical herds which would be of help. He was sure he could help the man at least a bit.
"Now, let's see what that rowdy group of people was freaking so hard over."

Shinso had not only treated that pesky man Monoma, but the rest of the group that came to his house as well. They were much easier to treat but god was it a pain. Not only that but Monoma was still resting in his home. It had been a day and he already wanted him gone, though the man hadn't even said a word to him cause he was still passed out.
Shinso went into his kitchen late that night, making himself a cup of tea to calm himself before he went to bed. Ojiro had given him some books to look into, but it didn't look like he would get around to them anytime soon.
There was creak on the staircase and Shinso looked up, noticing Monoma walking down the stairs."Up at last," he mumbled to himself, not even bothering to move to greet him."Looks like you're finally up, Monoma."
"How long was I out?" He asked, not even looking slightly wary. This man was really something.
"Around a day."
Suddenly he started laughing, eyes looking pained."Faster than Tetsutetsu, haha!"
What the hell was that? What a strange man.
"I'll go get your friends," Shinso said, leaning off his counter to get the door.
"Friends?" Monoma asked, laughing."They're just comrades, trying to get over the barrier just like me."
Shinso took that as a sign to not go and get them. Instead, he came back and took his boiling water of the stove, making up himself a cup of tea.
"I saw those books you had in your room." Monoma creeped closer."Looks like you're trying to get over the boarder too? Hahaha." His laugh was almost like a sneer, furthering Shinso's anger.
"Don't mess with my stuff or I'll kick you out right now," Shinso threatened.
Monoma hummed, putting a hand on his shoulder lightly."Hm? This magic of yours is quite interesting," he purred."But there seems to be another source present, what could that be...?"
Shinso shot his head around, eyes wide. "What did you...?" This guy could translate magic? Because if that was true it probably meant he could transmit it too. This could not be good, not with the type of magic Shinso had. He needed to stop him before-
"Don't move," Monoma commanded, getting closer to Shinso."Don't speak either." It was like Shinso was wrapped up in a sheet of cloth and couldn't get out, mouth sewed shut. So this is what it was like to be the receptor of his magic.
Monoma circled him experimentally and then started to laugh, sounding deranged and pained."How does it feel to be completely cut off? It's not too fun being the weak one, is it?" He asked laughing some more."This power of yours is great! I wish I could keep it for myself."
Shinso wished so bad to curse him out right then and there.
Monoma laughed louder, sneer on his face."Haha, feels bad, doesn't it? Maybe now you will be more willing to talk to me."
"Fat chance," a figure said, suddenly coming out from the shadows and scaring the shit out of Monoma.
"E-Eh? You housed spirits too?" Monoma let out a nervous chuckle, instantly dropping the magic surrounding Shinso."Well, I'm sure he's just as weak as you."
"He's my Spirit Guide, Aizawa," Shinso droned out, recovering from the magic used on him. He would take care in using it less often in the future, being on the receiving end of it was no fun.
"At least I could get past the barrier," Aizawa scoffed."Unlike a certain bunch of brats."
"Haha, are you sure you're not making up stories, old man?" Monoma sneered back."If you could be accepted past the barrier than this guy over here should be able to pass through easily but no, he's stuck here just like you are."
"The barrier didn't accept me, you brat. I used my power to nullify it's magic so I could go through," Aizawa said triumphantly, only then realizing his mistake.
"Wait, you can do that?" Shinso questioned wildly, getting in Aizawa's face."Why didn't you tell me before?!"
Aizawa sighed. This was why he hated kids so much, always in a rush, always trying to do things they shouldn't. It was such a pain in the ass.
"The barrier doesn't want you to cross so you shouldn't," Aizawa droned."What I did back when I was alive was a mistake. Just stay here and enjoy the life you have."
Monoma laughed, loud and annoying."What's so great about being here?" he questioned, laughter flowing through his sentences."All the actions in there! Here there's nothing! Not a single things that's fun or makes my heart skip a beat! It's boring!"
"Enjoy it, because in there, you'd be wishing you'd never left this great land of nothingness," Aizawa said, voice small and humble, like he didn't even believe himself.
"Haha, as I thought," Monoma laughed, pained look on his face."Pathetic."
He stormed off outside, maybe to go and finally see his comrades. The minute Shinso turned back to confront Aizawa, he was already gone and no matter how hard he tried to call him back, he never came.

There was a pounding at Shinso's door and he tried to make it go away by putting his pillow over his ears. The last couple of nights taking care of Monoma and then dealing with his pissy fit the minute he got up was wearing on his mind.
Also, Aizawa. How could he not have known that the Spirit Guide that had been following him around for so many years had a way to get him into the Land of Wealth and Power? He had talked to him about his dream of being a Seeker so many times. God, he felt like a fool.
The knocking at his door stopped and Shinso thanked the gods. Finally, he could take some time to just rest and recuperate while-
"Yo, Shinso."
A heavy weight suddenly caused an indent on his bed and Shinso shot up like a bullet."Wha-!"
"Good morning, sleepy head," Monoma purred from on top of him. Shinso felt like fainting.
What the hell was he doing here? In his room? On his bed? Straddling him like he did this all the time? Shinso couldn't keep up.
"Monoma..." he grumbled, still half-asleep and pissed."What the hell do you want? I thought you would've left already."
He laughed, something Shinso didn't want to hear first thing in the morning."I had a feeling you didn't want me to leave!"
"No..." Shinso really couldn't put up with his shit right now."I want you gone."
"Haha, well I'm not leaving," he said back to Shinso's horror.
Shinso fell back down on his bed. Of course not. Why did he ever think things could be easy? "There's nothing here for you, so why stay?" Shinso asked, trying to put some sense into the man.
Monoma laughed, sound making Shinso's ears bleed. It was no better from the first time he heard it."You have obvious connections to people inside the barrier, all those books of yours didn't fool me, plus you have that Spirit guide of yours which is two ways you might get me past the barrier," Monoma said."Plus, you're cute, Shinso." He poked Shinso's nose, watching with glee as the mans face scrunched up."It's worth staying awhile."
Shinso just huffed out a sigh, swatting Monoma's hand away from his face."If you mess with anything in my house, you're dead."
Monoma smirked, pulling back from Shinso."Hear that, you ghost bastard!" He laughed."I'm staying, so you better get used to me!" He laughed and laughed and Shinso could only sigh back.
What had he gotten himself into?
