in all honesty, i'm really not happy with this graphic. like, i joined because the prompt was so so good and i had a brilliant idea, but then the idea turned into...this mess. the only thing i'm remotely happy with is the face swap, because *wipes tear from eye* SO CLEAN

my phone has been acting up like heck lately (like, there's a giant blind spot on my touch screen) so my PNGs aren't as clean as they usually are, since i can't erase them properly (stupid touch screen). and my RSI returned full force, which means my fingers feel like they've gotten early arthritis. (i'm sixteen! i know i'm old but i shouldn't be having arthritis yet T_T)

i think the main problem here is my lighting? thing is, i suck at lighting manipulation. never bothered to practice that, mainly because i rarely use lighting in my graphics since i tend to avoid heavy manips. so my lighting is absolute ass. which sucks, because this graphic wouldn't be as bad as it currently is if my lighting skills were better.

okay, so, CONCEPT TIME!!! i loved loved loved the plot Treasure came up with, and i tried to incorporate in as many details as i could (though most of them are too dark to see 😭) i used two different pictures of blonde Yuna for the twins. the one on the right is Amara: still defiant, stubborn, and spirited. the one on the left is Aleah: broken down by the House of Cards. (my original plan involved Aleah having grey skin, but i couldn't do that properly so i just left it lool) they're sitting on a bench. because benches be kewl.

there's a clock on the bench next to them, to signify how time passes differently in the House of Cards. if you look reeeaaaally closely, you'll see two things behind them: children (meant to represent the other children in the House) and a fountain, to represent a fountain of youth to symbolise the adults' eternal youth. and then there's cards floating all around them cause i needed to incorporate those in somehow. the subtitle, 'They never come back.' is because...well, the kids never come back from the House, so i thought it was sufficiently creepy.

overall, i'm not a fan of this graphic. i have done better and i could do better. but i mean, at least my face swaps are getting better?

i'm also considering changing the theme of this portfolio! like, the whole Minlix toxic romance theme is nice and all (and probably the best theme concept i've ever come up with) but i love to change my themes in general. and although i really love this theme, i kinda wanna try a new cute, simple theme...or maybe i'll do another ship theme, except not as dark as this current one. or a single idol-centric theme. or a Taylor Swift theme because STREAM RED TAYLOR'S VERSION. i'm honestly leaning towards a ship theme again but idk. thoughts?
