Chapter 14

McKinley's POV

(a/n: Again, this chapter discusses periods, if that makes you uncomfortable, please skip)

Turns out the pole I walked into was a real pole. Not a boy, but an actual metal pole.
Which meant it hurt more.

"Ow! Stupefy!" I cursed at the pole. I ended up leaving school with a whiny child, too much work, and a headache.
"Let's go! Now, please!" Mia Grace whined. And so off we went, to my house.

Taking care of someone who needs you 24/7 isn't the best thing ever. Especially when they are whiny and have Paw Patrol turned up to top volume. We're talking about Mia Grace, not a toddler, but the Mia Grace, singing the Paw Patrol theme song as loud as she could.

"PAW PATROL, PAW PATROL, WE'LL BE THERE ON THE DOUBLE!" She belted for what felt like the 100th time. She was just sprawled across the couch, enjoying her day off of school. I rolled my eyes, walking over to an open chair. Only because I couldn't sit on my own couch.

As Mia Grace's voice rang out, I scrambled to answer the phone that was ringing.
"Hello, this is the Dallas family, how can I help you?" I asked, trying not to scream in frustration.
"Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, We'll be there in the double," A voice whispered from the other line. I sighed in frustration, glaring at Mia Grace who had a phone in her hand. I huffed, turning around and going into the kitchen. Right as I stepped into the pantry, the phone rang.

"Mia Grace, it wasn't funny the first time!" I exclaimed.
"I don't think I'm Mia Grace," The voice on the end of the line chuckled. I checked the caller I.D. It didn't have any name on it, just a short number.
"I just wanted to know, do you know who Brady George is?" The man asked.
"Yes, why?" I responded hesitantly. Why was a man, who sounded like Agent Coulson, want to know if I knew a random boy? The man cleared his throat.

"We have reason to believe you and Mr. Brady George have made a, er, romantic attachment," The man deadpanned, but he sounded a bit embarrassed by the end. I rolled my eyes, I couldn't believe this.
Brady George has prank called me.
"Ha! In his dreams!" I snorted. No way was Mister George faking his way to me. I saved the number to my phone as Messed Up and hung up on him.
