So...I had a cover made by Awesome_chocoholic11 (go follow her she is A-MA-ZING!) but my kindle won't let me use it, and neither will my computer (well, kind of). But I have a book so I've got that going for it me.

McKinley's POV

You'd think that I could just have a normal high school, well as normal as it gets, but nope! I just had to be gifted with the voice of an angel. My awesomeness was just too much. But we should start at the very, very beginning for everyone to understand everything. Here's a hint: My
My life just fell apart, I need tape!

It was when I caught the only guy I ever liked with another girl and kissing, I had reached an all-time low. Why that choice of words? Well, it's set not a high to see your crush kissing another girl! And the funny thing? That guy wasn't even dating me. He wasn't a player, like that typical cliche stuff in books. No, he was a nerd. But he was my nerd. And no, he did not have glasses. He had contacts. But back to the main story. We were just the best, best friends. And, being the (kind of) cliche person I am, I fell head over heels for him. It was so great, yet so awful. Why? He only saw me as the one who shared every single memory with him, but not as a romance, as the best of friends.

And the only girl I ever caught him kissing my other best friend, Holli, and I was so, so, sad. Not even sad, because there is no word to describe it. It's even more painful though, as she knew I liked Riley (the best friend of mine who was kissing Holli) and she still did that! But that was the summer of my senior year, and I should've forgotten about it, but I couldn't. 

Though it's not like I don't want to forget, I really do just want to erase from my mind, but there are some things you have to remember so you can move on from the past. Which is why When I told them my goodbyes, I was a little less broken then I thought I would've been. But I bet Holli was a little more overjoyed now that I was leaving South Carolina.

Now she has Riley all to herself. But now I was flying from South Carolina where I was born and raised, to a little town called 'Applefield' in Mississippi. And honestly? I was happy. I was relieved that I would get a new start. I looked out the window at the adorable town that I would get to live in. And the deep South sounded amazing. I was from the south, no lie, but this would be new. Different. Fresh. Febreeze fresh. Sorry, that's just what the plane smells like!

"We have arrived at our destination, Applefield, Mississippi. Please take all your belongings and board off the plane in a single file line, the rest of your luggage can be found in the conveyor belt. Have a wonderful afternoon." At that, the flight attendant turned off the mic and went to go help the elderly people with their carry-on's. I was finally getting a new start.
